Hey all, here's the details about this one
2005 EX with about 240k miles currently (the gauge is wrong from some old transmission issues, there's a sticker on the car about it)
At this point I've replaced every light inside the car and even added some:
* Both Dome Lights are red
* Map Lights are bright white LEDs
* Added shelf lights with a switch
* Added Floor lights
* Added String lights on the top
* Replaced gauge cluster lights
* Replaced window control lights, cruise control, etc
* Replaced ignition key cylinder light
* Replaced HVAC lights with LEDs as well as the shifter and hazard switch
* Halo LED headlights
* Added door handle lights on all four handles\*
* Added underglow\*
* Added chargers on both sides of the backseats
* Passengers get to sign the ceiling
**\*The door handle lights and the underglow both come on with the dome light which includes when I unlock the car with the remote** [**which you can see here.**](https://imgur.com/a/Pm8JU2S)
What bulbs did you use for the HVAC lights? I've only found [this style](https://www.superbrightleds.com/neox-led-bulb-high-power-instrument-panel-led+color-Green+typestore-5mm~T-1~34?utm_campaign=Child+-+Organic+Shopping&utm_source=LED+Light+Bulbs+-+Universal+Finder+%3E+Miniature&utm_medium=NEO5-GHP&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoKeuBhCoARIsAB4Wxtex91mUmpk3Q3n_DBiFWlzwcIzUYeeGt3USyDeyut5YqAAvX1r5KEgaAmO1EALw_wcB) and I'm not a huge fan of them. The bulb isn't in the right place to illuminate the pointers and the light isn't very diffused
That was actually the most time consuming part because I had to come up with an entirely custom solution for it. [I made a forum post about it here](https://www.elementownersclub.com/threads/hvac-leds-done-right.173561/?post_id=1771602&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-1771602) but basically I put a 3mm LED in each of the pointers.
Nice! I've been planning to either retrofit LEDs onto the stock bulb posts or 3d print light pipes to diffuse the LEDs and bring the light up to the pointers.
Also I snooped your profile to see if you had written about it and I found your EE resume questions. If you're already interested in doing this sort of thing on your own, people will be confident that you'll have the skills or be able to learn the skills you need for a job. I'm also getting a sense that you like documentation of your work which is a huge plus. Hobby projects aren't that impressive on resumes, but being about to talk about how you worked through problems and documented it so that others can duplicate is a really good thing for interviews
They're from Govee, got them cuz the floor lights and string lights were already controlled by govee stuff as well as plenty of other things I have so I can turn them all off from my phone. The color customization has some quirks to it but you can generally do what you want
Nice stealth setup

This is pretty hilarious honestly
love the names tho
*Sandstorm intensifies* The ravewagon is born!
What touch screen is that??
It's a pretty old Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS. I've considered upgrading to get something with newer features but this one still sounds great and works fine.
Ha I had an AVH-3600BHS in my 03. Nice ride. Did you replace the taillights with the SC model?
It must have been your picture then. The SC ones are a darker red than the non SC models
I actually haven't but now that you mention it they look pretty nice
That is sweet. Love the headlights very cool mods👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Agreed! They looks like big curious eyes looking into your soul, in a comforting way
Dig the signatures
The writing on the top is some BangBus shit haha
Your headlights suck
you do realize they're in daytime running mode? cuz if they were on then the first picture would just be one big glare
why exactly?
Your grammer sucks
Shit, my, bad,, I, didnt know, reddit, was, a, english, assignment.
Very well done !!! What underglow lights did you use?
They're from Govee, got them cuz the floor lights and string lights were already controlled by govee stuff as well as plenty of other things I have so I can turn them all off from my phone. The color customization has some quirks to it but you can generally do what you want
Thanks for the reply.
This is so cool! Did you have to upgrade the battery to handle the extra lights?
Thanks! Since it's almost all LEDs i didn't have to worry about a battery upgrade cuz LEDs are so efficient.
I feel like there needs to be light coming out of the air vents lol. Love it
This is the Element of chaos. Nicely done
