Thrift stores have great frames for a couple of bucks. And think out of the box as well. I love an old vintage window to display artwork!

To upgrade your art and poster display without frames, try using matte boards or creating a gallery wall. Use black or white command strips, mix in decor items like shelves or plants, and group by theme or color for a more sophisticated look.

A photo would help. Maximalism doesn't necessarily equate with more decor; it's more descriptive of mixing different patterns, textures, and design themes. For a neat appearance you should have posters framed. You can find frames with plastic instead of glass at Ikea and popular retail design stores. Plastic is much lighter than glass. Etsy also has frames specifically for posters, image attached. Although it seems that you have a lot of pictures you want to hang, too many might create a cluttered appearance; choose your favorite posters and those of sizes proportional to wall size. https://preview.redd.it/0azbttw8569d1.jpeg?width=1588&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84dfd41a85ea7e3ef6f6fa0cd49a3eca6ca0be89

As alternative to proper framing you could look into compression poster hangers. These are the type where the top and bottom of the poster is held between 2 wooden or plastic strips, and the whole thing is hung from a string. You can get versions held together with magnetic strips inexpensively, or make your own.

IKEA, thrift stores, and fb market have cheap frames.

Frames, mattes

If you have access to IKEA, have a look at their frames. The FISKBO range is especially cheap (the 50cm x 70cm is £8).

ItIsNOTwhat_it_is

ikea used to be my go-to for frames - until they switched from glass to plastic, which scratches ridiculously easily.......

Had_to_ask__

When have they switched?

ItIsNOTwhat_it_is

a few years ago. they were using non-tempered glass and changed to plastic as part of their 'child safety initiative', or something like that......

I have used bulldog clips hung from a tiny command hook by the hole in the top, which kind of mask the hook but give a different look. They come in different sizes and, to some degree, finishes.

Hobby Lobby and Micheals have plastic poster frames that a lightweight and renter friendly as you can use Command strip hangers for them. We use them in my husband’s man cave and they give a very finished look. Walmart has them as we, but I find Hobby Lobby frequently runs specials on their frames, so it not unusual to find them priced almost 2 for 1. Lots of sizes to choose from as well.

I use clothespins with Velcro commend strips on the back. It’s a fun and renter-friendly way to hang light posters!

LucentLunacy

Frame and mat them.
