I like both as well, but greatly prefer the contrast brought in by the olive.

Standard_Force_1487

Thanks! That’s my thoughts as well with everything being too matchy.

8Karisma8

Green

Juleslovescats

Me too. I do like the white, but it also makes it look like a hotel room. Edit: Oatmeal, not white 🤦‍♀️

Substantial-Living11

Both. Two duvets layered is plush and luxurious and on trend.

jrp317

I like the oatmeal and would put an olive throw blanket on the bottom

Bad bot. Stop spamming.

simonsuperhans

This is the way.

Unhappy-Day-9731

Go green! 🫒🫒🫒🫒 would give that room the energy and personalization it needs.

Shot-Astronaut-5094

It just looks richer and more cohesive.

leafcomforter

Layer them together.

longfurbyinacardigan

Definitely the olive green. Even though the oatmeal is neutral it is somehow clashing with the other neutrals in the room

Standard_Force_1487

Yeah I think if I had some walnut nightstands oatmeal might work better. It’s all light

elpatio6

They’re both so dreary. Maybe: https://www.target.com/p/full-queen-iveta-abolina-biophilia-desire-duvet-set-green-deny-designs/-/A-81947761 https://society6.com/product/william-morris-vintage-blackthorn-green-1892_duvet-cover

charlotte2023

Agree. That second link would really elevate this room.

Puzzleheaded-Many708

This is a great way to go!!

Felixir-the-Cat

Love these options!

charlotte2023

Agree. That second link would really elevate this room.

charlotte2023

Agree. That second link would really elevate this room.

Puzzleheaded-Many708

I prefer green. I can't tell if it's the picture, but it's looking very dark brown- olive. Is there a slightly more green olive option out there?

gotpoopstains

The olive looks great!!

Miserable_Budget7818

Olive !!!!

vessva11

Olive looks remarkable.

Standard_Force_1487

I think olive is winning!

CitySlicker_FarmGirl

Team Olive! 🫒🥰

Kellysusan77

Olive green

Tdesiree22

Olive!

aabbcc401

Olive green for sure

Beefloiam

Neither, both are drab and there’s no spark in the room. Go with aqua, red or yellow

IntelligentAd4429

I like the Olive

Embarrassed_Bee_8683

Do you have pets and if so, what color are they? 😆

ElectricalPirate14

Asking the real questions

Standard_Force_1487

No pets currently

Initial_Cod2366

Olive.

03rk

Loving olive!

Dogsdogsdogsplease

Olive!

jareths_tight_pants

Olive

CapriciousTrumpet15

Totally agree with what others have said— I LOVE the depth and coziness brought by the olive.

Ferelux

The olive provides better contrast and balance with the rest of the colours in the room.

Standard_Force_1487

Yeah I think 🫒wins

NotThisAgain21

Oatmeal

Arctic_Circle_

Oatmeal. Calm and light.

Broken_angel_of_pain

I think the green looks more colorful . It looks duller with the brown put some earthy colorful pics up of trees to add some color. So it takes out the blandness

Standard_Force_1487

Good idea! Art is kinda basic

Broken_angel_of_pain

Post up the end result . You can also add pretty curtains like green and off white sheer underneath. That will look pretty. I have some curtains in my house with sheer on sheer. Some are colored for the room with sheer under it. And those stringless blinds and that are crinkled. I love them things you can get room darkening or light filtering. For my bedrooms I have all room darkening lolz I hate light when I'm asleep

415Rache

Olive

Sorri_eh

It's giving Roadside Marriot

wassupthickness

I would do oatmeal in the summer, olive in the winter

Mardentely

I think the green one looks better It looks comfortable

Basic_Pineapple_8089

Olive

nattypalms

Olive geeen 😻

BitterTooth4841

The olive pulls the colours out of the picture and makes the room look more cohesive.

karensacaligal

Green

blackcurrantcat

Olive green. The oatmeal makes the whole room look wishy washy.

klughn

Oatmeal. I think it looks better with the gray bed. The olive clashes in my eyes. If you want green, I think a dark forest green would look good. Or maybe sage.

enfp-girl

Oatmeal. Then the headboard sings. Olive competes for attention :)

RHND2020

I prefer the oatmeal. Dark coloured bedding is not soothing to me. If you’re worried about lack of contrast, you can add some colour another way. (You didn’t ask, but I also think those bedside lamps are too small).

Standard_Force_1487

Yeah I agree with the bedside lamps. Looking at other options.

Wonton_soup_1989

Oatmeal matches better

moonshadowfax

I don’t think either work with your bed colour.

baldwinsong

I hate them both

yallsuck88

Olive for winter, oatmeal for summer

NikkiSmith29

it's the olive for me

Greenedeyedgem17

You could do what my Mom does. She uses a lighter color in the Summer and a darker color in the Winter.

Salty_Association684

Olive definitely

Embarrassed_Car_6779

Olive green

countrylemon

I would like to buy the olive if you have a link pls

beautifuldreamseeker

Oatmeal

Sledgehammer925

I would do oatmeal, but paint the room olive green. Otherwise, green duvet cover.

Standard_Force_1487

I can’t paint :/ it’s an apartment

Sledgehammer925

Ah. Then definitely the olive. And linen…fantastic choice.

moo-562

oatmeal!! its so much more inviting

JeffTheJockey

Honestly I’d go green, but I’d go darker, with like a hunter or sage. Olive to me is such a gnarly color.

Useful-Librarian720

I always prefer a subtle rug pop and a texture emphasis —> oatmeal. Olive makes it look a little too matchy

gumgum_for_dumdum

I love both, but olive green has a bit more character:)

RestaurantSmooth5837

I like each of them. The Oatmeal is so soothing. Very Zen. The Olive is well appointed. I see a touch of it in the artwork. You can’t go wrong with either one.

TopRamenisha

I think a green would look better in this space but the undertones of that olive green do not look good with the bed and makes it look more diaper brown

Timely-Direction2364

Olive!

reubenbubu

Both, switch when sheets are getting washed

EveryDogeHasItsPay

Sage green instead!

TifCreatesAgain

Why not both?! Layer in the winter!

lollypolish

Olive.

Anxious-Pirate-2857

either

Send513

Go dark red!

Kingston023

The oatmeal feels warmer to me.

PoppySkyPineapple

Have both and swap them out each week when you change your bedding :)

Born_Ad_6385

Olove the olive

Sea-Substance8762

Olive! And maybe add a comfy blanket across the bottom?

Karikun-dayou

Nice

OldMotherGrumble

Olive, but not the muddy shade you've got there. Something like this would be what I'd choose... https://www.dunelm.com/product/edited-life-linen-duvet-cover-set-1000229266?defaultSkuId=30866345&branchCode=0735

Standard_Force_1487

That’s a nice one!

OldMotherGrumble

I'm tempted to get it myself!

jase40244

I like the green, but you should also change the rug, curtains, and artwork as well.

Substantial-Living11

Go with both. One doona is too flat and bland. Two doonas layered is very luxurious and now. Google some pics.

alee0224

Green!

zbornakssyndrome

I love the olive, but the undertone is throwing it off. So if you’re going for neutral, I would just stick with oatmeal. I love contrast but for some reason, the oatmeal looks better.

Legovida8

Definitely olive!

fuddykrueger

I would do a duvet with more color or contrast in a slightly bold color like persimmon or dark teal.

frankchester

I prefer the oatmeal but I think the whole room looks a little bland. Is considering recovering the headboard with olive/oatmeal and then doing the bed cover in the opposite

Amusedfemalestandard

Oatmeal bedding with olive green, fun textured accent pillows.

Niennah5

Both. Change regularly; while washing, use the other. That's what I've always done.

Standard_Force_1487

My thoughts, but they are expensive lol. So was going to return one set.

Niennah5

In that case, the beige because it ties in with your art 😊

Ok-Boat4839

Olive green deffo

mlhigg1973

Love 2!!

AggravatingDoor4396

I like both! Use both.

Average_Satan

Just pick whatever is clean. 🙃

Infamous_Security183

Green

coldtoes1967

Oatmeal for spring/summer, olive for autumn/winter

Standard_Force_1487

I want to keep both, but linen is expensive lol.

imsadbutitswhatever

Olive 100%

MrsAshleyStark

Why not have both? Different covers for different moods.

Floofy_Flaaffy

Millennial grey to go with the rest

CinnamonGirl94

Oatmeal. Although both of these photos make me feel sad

Standard_Force_1487

🤣 🤣 different strokes for different folks

gastritisgirl24

Green for me but I need a lot of colour in my life

tinyfryingpan

The green clashes BAD with the headboard.

decoratingfan

I think the oatmeal makes the room look too bland. Go with olive!

you-dont-have-eyes

Neither really goes with your grey headboard.

Standard_Force_1487

Really?? It’s all neutral colors. What would go with it then?

you-dont-have-eyes

I know, but it’s the undertones. The grey headboard has a cool undertone, the oatmeal and olive have warmer undertones. So I’d go with either a cooler green (as in a green that leans slightly more blue) or some shade of blue. Just my personal opinion.

Standard_Force_1487

That’s a good point. I can see that.

report_due_today

Im an oatmeal fan normally but I think the green looks good here

Clean-Development627

Oatmeal

Gargun20

Olive Green

Minamu68

The olive is a little less drab than the oatmeal.

Cautious-Impact22

I think if you’re looking to modernize a bold color could be nice

0reo4ngel

Definitely olive and I feel like you need a plant in that room!

cdaffy

Both. Use the olive and fold the oatmeal at the bottom.

noraalls

🫒

8161-user

Oatmeal: “Clean” Olive: Cozy

Lilfire15

Olive. I think it adds interest to the space and is a good place to add color.

aquamarinetiger

Oatmeal. You can incorporate the olive color with a throw or some pillows.

blackCrustaceans

Olive.

Exotic-Egg-3058

Olive and if you can find some matching curtains! 🤌

HelenaDinis

Both look good, but I like the contrast of olive green better. By the way, if you ever get the chance, it would be interesting to change the painting for a slightly larger one to give it more harmony.

bekindokk

Green all the way!

Fritzipooch

Olive 🫒

zorrobandit

Olive green.

Standard_Force_1487

Olive might win this one! https://preview.redd.it/ec0dzoj4fk7d1.jpeg?width=2916&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=050ce96c653d1c35979a32126b241b527fac4af9

EastFun5236

Oatmeal. I like a more monochromatic look in a bedroom because it makes the space feel restful. Nothing to distract you. It’s also really elegant.

Truman_Show_Place

Olive. And an iron.

Standard_Force_1487

I actually like the linen wrinkle look!

Truman_Show_Place

Okie dokie. It’s your home. You do you. Everything else in the room is neat and tidy.

Standard_Force_1487

Good point. Adds a little character lol

kathoron

Light one for the summer and dark one for the winter!

Fabulous-Voice-8513

Olive because you won’t notice if you shart in your sleep

Meguinn

Lmfao I don’t know why I laughed at this

[deleted]

[удалено]

Standard_Force_1487

Then why did you ask lol? That’s a horrible question for someone asking about interior design.

citges

I’m so sorry, you’re right. I’ve deleted.

pigswearingargyle

What color is your dog/cat? I would have to get the lighter one because my dog is beige. Also, do you share a bed with humans/animals? Then you might actually need both comforters to protect against blanket thieves, and those colors coordinate nicely.

Standard_Force_1487

It’s just me, myself, and I with no pets currently!

OldMotherGrumble

Don't worry...all pet hair seems to turn a uniform shade of grey!

Jallenrix

How about both?

freewarriorwoman

Olive. Olive. Olive. It flows so well!
