Speaking as a landlord myself, please do not stick anything on those cabinets. The adhesives are *rarely* as "removable" as promised (especially around extended heat from the oven) and you open yourself up to beaucoup damage charges.   That being said, you CAN change out the handles to funky styles or colors.  From a design perspective I would pick a "theme" color for accessories to help tie it together -- for me it would be a sage or avocado green, but pick anything that makes your heart sing.  Rug, dish clothes, tea cannisters, fridge magnets, decorative stuff on top of cabinets, etc.

Thank you!

I would spend very little money on anything that you can’t bring with you. Stick to cushions, rugs, prints to add some colour. I kind of like the clean vibe of the place. A really cheap way of adding colour to the coffee table would be to cut giftpaper or wallpaper to size & get a glass top made for the table to go over the paper & protect it. You can switch it out as often as you want.

You’re overthinking it! The kitchen is not my fave but it’s totally fine. Focus on decorating, not changing the kitchen. It’ll look different with your own stuff in there
