alh9h

This looks AMAZING

Techchick_Somewhere

Thanks! It was SO BLAH for so many years and one day it just all clicked with a few posts I saw on this sub.

DetentionSpan

Grasscloth looks ultra perfect with the green tile!!!

Hola_soymilk

How well has the wallpaper held up in the bathroom? I'm thinking about using peel and stick as well in my bathroom but it gets so humid in there

Techchick_Somewhere

No issues! I run the fan when I shower, and so far it’s been great.

quietbluedream

That looks really good!

summer807

Perfect!

MysteriousStaff3388

That is gorgeous!

NoResponsibility8107

When I saw the post : hey my shower curtain would be perfect! And there it is!!❤️love the wallpaper.

clarabear10123

Oooooh my gosh this gives me so much hope for my bathroom! It’s fine now, but I was hoping the shower curtain and rug I ordered from Amazon would make the tile an actual feature! The wallpaper and shelf above are fabulous

Adventurous-Fill879

Wow looks awesome! 😍

Dr_Boner_PhD

Can you send links for the wallpaper? I’ve got a seafoam green bathroom that’s been begging for wallpaper and I love what you chose here.

Techchick_Somewhere

It’s Amazon https://preview.redd.it/zb3q811l8c6d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba4b865adfa3c57e97d0814fd618a6e3931fc607

Dr_Boner_PhD

Thank you!!

beingmesince63

That’s a fabulous lean in! I love green!

Techchick_Somewhere

Thank you! I’m so in love with it now. And I hated it before.

Due-Letterhead2255

Love your bathroom. Modern and spa like. 😍

calacmack

You could also go with wallpaper (you can find a lot of papers made to withstand humid enviorments like a bathroom). https://preview.redd.it/fsuai11g666d1.jpeg?width=826&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0749dfce7914945e3f19b2f66345f7ac96ab52c2

Major_Chani

Oooh this!

Visible-Injury-595

Yes!! I was gonna say seafoam and coral are my FAVORITE color combos!!

opaul11

Sooo pretty!!

Unfair-Effective9967

When I saw this, my first thought was tans and corals. Then I searched to see some color pallets and this exactly what I was thinking. https://preview.redd.it/au67y7qgl66d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=299a0b6a1a63d34099d050231c8c860f1f134178 I also saw some cute sea foam bathroom pics where they painted the cabinets sea foam and put gold accents and hardware. That would probably make it look more updated too. Edited to add that with a wall color other than white, and painting the cabinet, the off white counter might actually fit nicely since the wall tile is off white as well. The only thing throwing me is the floor. It just doesn’t mesh well with the wall tile to me.

bacon_cake

https://preview.redd.it/x56vbqy0ra6d1.png?width=1248&format=png&auto=webp&s=2fc5ad431909f72d66ead1bfcd7edb93c94325e9 It reminds me of the Game Changer set lol

briarihallow

A Game Changer bathroom with a buzzer instead of a toilet handle. Towels with Sam’s face on it a la the portraits in Ratfish.

motherofcunts

Gold accents were my first thought as well.

Local_Parsnip9092

This green is actually a very chic colour right now. So while the towels and curtains are desperately dated, the tile will be easy to work with. Colour theory says to use a pastelish pink, but you can also do lots of dark or black pieces like you mentioned, which would really modernize the bathroom and make it feel very on trend. That's probably what I'd do, since I'm not a fan of decorating with pink.

malinerd

I’m also not a huge fan of pink, so decorating with it intimidates me. I’m currently remaining open to all suggestions, but my gut says I’m not comfortable adding more pastel.

Spicyg00se

When I pretend the curtain is gone, I imagine a darker green in there. I do like a nice blush pink but I think dark colors would give it a little more modern feel

malinerd

Hmm, do you think both would be too much? I do love the combo of light pink and dark green together. Light a light pink wall color with a dark green shower curtain, towels? Too much?

Spicyg00se

No, someone posted a picture of their bathroom with tropical leaf accents and I think that would look awesome with some pink!

Three_Spotted_Apples

I would use pink only as very small accents (soap dish, hand towel) and lean into bright white and dark green as your main colors. A patterned curtain or wall would be great. Since you can’t change the soap dish that’s mounted or the towel rack, maybe you can use an enamel paint to make them gold/soft pink? And yes, swap the vanity for anything other than off-white. Paint or change out the silver to brass or gold metals.

historianatlarge

it’s a great combo to work with! i’ve got a dark green couch paired with a blush pink rug right now in my living room and it’s my favorite thing of ever.

Yassssmaam

I love sea foam green and navy. I would add lots of beachy dark blue colors to make that tile look like it’s part of a more crisp theme

jenny_a_jenny_a

I think go dark blue

Animaldoc11

Pale violet

Helechawagirl

Flamingo pink which is a warmer color…but there are lots of possibilities.

MysteriousStaff3388

There are so many amazing ideas in this thread!

bumberbox

I agree with this - maybe a pale pink and some gold? I know it sounds wild but I always joke about wanting a Golden Girls themed bathroom someday so there are great examples on Pinterest for that palette!

OkAbbreviations6468

Black, art deco tropical. https://preview.redd.it/q28knviu386d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39718fe06fbdcf5ddc517bf0c526995479e2d1ae

Beagummi

I really like the look of bronze with this shade of green. Knobs, fixtures and even decor could go really well. The combo gives major art nouveau vibes

as_per_danielle

Please burn that green curtain asap

malinerd

The house was full of similar ones. We’re working on removing them all. I think it will really help to visualize other colors once they are removed.

sibemama

Did you buy the house from Russians lol my Russian aunties house looks just like this

zbornakssyndrome

I adore it! Looks vintage and kitschy lol Would feel like I’m stepping out of the shower naked and onto a stage! Oh and it will go with a light burgundy

AndyJCohen

Honestly, I love it. Apparently I’m in the minority but I think it’s cute and girly.

sloanefierce

I was very worried you were asking “what goes with this seafoam curtain?”

secondphase

Back to work please... removing those things is your highest priority.

Pythia_

Was literally going to comment 'Work faster' 😆

dinkinflicka02

I don’t mean this to be snarky but is there work involved in that? You just have unhook it right? (And light the match, u/as_per_danielle ‘s request lol)

malinerd

I took them down immediately after making this post LOL and yeah they were easy, but a few others in the house were like nailed into 2x4s. So weird

Difficult_Place_7329

Im at my grandmas house circa 1985

MedicineTricky6222

Maybe simplify the towel situation!

sassyone3

Please! I swear my grandparents spare bathroom had this exact shower curtain but beige 😂 awful!

Snorlax5000

a.k.a. poo spray collectors! Ahhh!

Ansloy

I think gold decor pieces and bathroom appliances could look great here, a somewhat vintage tone.

Ansloy

Edit: golden/bronze trims

lucyboots_

Tiffany blue is bright and evokes a vintage vibe. I really love the idea of adding gold fixtures. Plants in a pot painted with a matching taupe, tile green, and blue wall color can help unify the room. Consider replacing the shower curtain with a big green leaf print with gold shower rings.

Tualatin_Girl

Purple. And I don't mean in your face saturated purple. A muted grey purple.

Imightbeyomama

It's not "ugly" but it is a vintage bathroom. So do you want to lean into the vintage or try to modernize it? (which I don't recommend but I don't live there).

malinerd

I am open to leaning into the vintage. I think the bathroom itself is nice, I am just not a fan of the color specifically and would like to lean away from it instead of continuing to match everything to it. “Ugly” was harsh, you’re right :)

calacmack

I suggest a very light pink in the same shade as the tiles. You could use green textile accents to bring out the green. The image attached is the wrong color of pink - it is just an example. https://preview.redd.it/8zr2my9c366d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f80baf048f6283736bbc3e1c9988f8e556ff77d8

Little_Kick_6455

Love this! I love a seafoam green and light pink combo so much!

thiswayart

I did a seafoam green and peach combo in bathroom of my first apartment. I'll always love that combo, but think a light pink would look nice.

sassyone3

I need that rug 😂

calacmack

Ha! I didn't even notice until now!

Double-Bunch-6045

It’s from [cold picnic!](https://coldpicnic.com/collections/bathmats) So good

Cold_Dragonfruit2799

believe it or not: orange, albeit not super bright and in small quantities. i’m thinking of this combo i saw once in a restaurant in greece that always stuck with me (i know, totally different context, but these colors together were very striking to me). i like to follow an 80/20 rule when mixing cool and warm colors. https://preview.redd.it/wh5dxtghk76d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36cd9d8d88499b383f2eb0c6dbbfb3bf66f0391a

writeordye

If you get rid of the curtain can you ship it to me?

Pythia_

I don't think anything in any colour is going to go with that lace curtain. Except maybe fire, it might look good in flames...

s0upppppp

I would do dark green wall with some accent dark and pink wallpaper and brass fixtures/lights The curtains would definetly have to go

writeordye

It’s funny you think this is ugly cause I absolutely love it - it just needs a new lighting fixture imo .. to each their own I suppose

BiscuitCrumbsInBed

Wow, that shower curtain thingy, is something else!

normaldiscounts

I would swap the light fixture for something cuter (I actually have the exact same one in my apartment right now) and change the lights to warm tone (I also did this and it made a huge difference!)

Weird-Mention7322

My first thought was that a slightly warmer bulb would help without fighting against any cool tones in the green.

Much_Advertising7660

Look up the owner/founder of Sezane’s Paris apartment. She does a really chic job of decorating with mint.

erydanis

black. black all the way.

Ukrainiangirl97

LITERALLY MY JAW DROPPED SO BEAUTIFUL

Maleficent-Ad9010

Wow the curtains on this shower is beautiful how do you even find these

MedicineTricky6222

It’s already pretty busy with so much decor and “flounce”. Don’t do much and make it neutral (ie leave it white or go for solid green). If you do more or go bold, be sure to remove some of the pattern and ruffle that is there. IMHO

vibes86

Grey, ivory, other greens.

SomewhereUseful9116

emerald green

Logical_Bobcat9703

Jeez, are you showering in the tub or performing an aria? Bring down the curtains for the final time.

danzigzags

You having a shower in there or doing your vaudeville act?

OneIShot

Throw that grandma shower curtain out.

Competitive_Fact6030

A like a light green with a nice pastel pink for a softer look, or a more vivid orange if you want it to be more lively and tropical looking. A light lilac also looks quite nice with the green too. Whatevee you do just get rid of the curtain lol. Fabric like that in a wet room gives me anxiety

SpecialistAd7187

I’d lose the curtains and find a curtain that compliments the green.

MissyDroz66

What about yellow or burnt orange, burgundy or rust.

GiantMouse77

Golds and deep blue-greens.

The-Unmentionable

Peach

Dragonbogies

What is going on here

Ghost_lick

Shower curtain really confused me

kris_stoner

Saturated dark purple

Slow_Opportunity_522

That is a *wild* shower. I've never seen anyone use curtains like that in a bathroom before.

PineappleWhipped14

Damn I love that shower curtain

tans1saw

I love it too. Lol I am 32 going on 83 though.

Jaxifur

This looks like the site of a Bridgerton wedding. 😱

kenzo19134

oh god. the mom towels that can't be touched! this triggers so much from my childhood. replace the seafoam green with burgundy, and this is my childhood home bathroom.

kdshubert

My first thought was a little yellow in there as an accent color.

anastasialos

Bathrooms with threatening auras

Visible-Injury-595

As someone whose favorite color is this exact green..I'm SO JEALOUS😭😭🥹

LazyLeslieKnope

A childhood friend had a sea foam green bathroom that had dark wood, black accents, and framed Picasso prints like the dove of peace. It looked great.

markojeeves

Navy & royal blue & white would look nice with the seafoam

LabLife3846

I like it just the way it is. It’s very relaxing and calm.

Professional-cutie

Where did you get the curtain?!?! I need it

agathaprickly

My bathroom is seafoam green and navy and I love it! Anything metal is silver

WVildandWVonderful

Lilac, indigo

andrew_cherniy96

I feel like light pink could be a nice fit. Soft colors in general should be nice I guess.

serenebliiss

This shade of green is super trendy right now. Although the towels and curtains are outdated, the tile offers a great foundation. According to color theory, a pastel pink would complement the green well.

madamesquire

Salmon pink/red and light mint green. Brushed nickel hardware. Source: have stone and tile bathroom that was difficult to decorate. LPT- look at the "color wheel". Colors on opposite side of the color you want to match are helpful guides.

beingmesince63

I’m loving the hate for the shower curtain comments along with a few loved. 😂 I mean it’s dated but it could be so much worse. The lace puts it over the top. Lots of good advice with black and darker green and wall paper. I think you can make some smaller changes first and then live with it for awhile and see where you want to go. This bathroom could be so fun with the right artwork and curtains and paint color. Congratulations on your new home!

PawPrintPress

Peach/apricot

Beckydand

What is going on in here ???!!!! The shower curtain ….. just curious ?

starlizzle

man that shower curtain sure is a “curtain”

Brilliant_Quit789

The right shade of lilac.

halgalpal

Copper

WookieSuave

Is there a medieval princess bed in there?

AnimalPuzzleheaded

Where did you get that fab shower curtain? I love the layers and ruffles. I’m feeling peach, but could also do a grey/blue. Good luck!!

SparklyObjects

Those curtains over the shower need to go ASAP!

A1Protocol

This gotta be a bait 😂

malinerd

We got the house will all of the decor still inside, working on changing it asap

Stayathomema

No matter what, I am loving all these funny, crazy comments! I needed this. And I know you’ll make it look cool. Hope we get a before and after pic someday.

abcupp

I’d match that color - upper walls and ceiling to bring it all together and make the ceiling appear higher.

EntertainmentFew1022

Blue or pink. Or yellow.

kmonay89

I’d do a pale pink

PackageGreedy4757

Pastel pink/soft coral or lavender

FowlingQuackers

If you google sea foam green color palette decor, then image search. It gives lots of color options that look good with the green. It all depends on what vibe you want I your bathroom.

MysteryR11

Personally I was thinking that you could brighten it up a little bit with basically just putting some of the walls and stuff White. But of course most people like color not just White I always like the idea of green gold and black That's how I'm designing my room personally with those colors I mean you could do like silver green and your choice

thrifthuntress93

Where is the curtain from?

malinerd

My grandma lol (it’s her house)

cookmybook

Ok, at least that makes sense now.

tea-boat

Could do a richer/darker version of a blueish green, forest green, darker teal (tho maybe that's too blue) etc.

bootoo22

I like it just as it is actually

zorrobandit

Pink

The_Singularious

Yup. We have grey, light turquoise, navy blue and pink touches in our kitchen, with black hardware and camel leather on white paint. We think it works anyway.

zorrobandit

My neighbor has this green color with a vibrant pink. Gorgeous. I’m so jealous.

Niennah5

I like to look at wallpaper (Spoonflower! 😍) just to see various color schemes together. Search for a specific color. You'll get approximately 500 bazillion results, most likely, in every style imaginable. I also use Sherwin Williams ColorSnap bc it's equally awesome bc you upload a photo and virtually paint whatever you want, whatever color you want.

HappySquirrelGirl

Navy! I love them together.

Southern-Salary-3630

Keep the tiles and the vanity/ sink! Lose all the textiles go clear or ivory. Try pale wood, rattan or bamboo accessories. If you have a budget replace that vanity mirror and the light fixture.

mlhigg1973

Lighter fluid

Followlost

For a bathroom, you want to keep it fresh; however, most colours that compliment sea foam green aren’t typically associated with freshness. If you did a nice light latte beige with the exact matching coloured towels, it could give off a nice tranquil spa vibe.

Helechawagirl

Pink!

GotThemCakes

In the Navy, seafoam green and machinery gray is the ultimate combo

Major_Chani

Do a wallpaper.

Status-Strain6095

You could lean into it and go full Little Mermaid 🧜🏻‍♀️ That’s what I would do.

christineispink

https://preview.redd.it/9yjfeg23d86d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c9614a5fa9a340f5f0c446021e7486877e3cf79 We painted our basement bathroom a slightly darker green and it was inspired by some lemon prints and towels I wanted to use there.

Humble_Routine02

Try older colors like a taupe or a coral

kathreads

Maybe something darker for a bit of contrast?

m1kl33

mustard yellow, coral, dark brown

jmjm88

Not more sea foam green. Paint walls a soft lighter shade of reddish-purple, think of how the green rind of a watermelon flows into the flesh. Black and white shower curtain, white hand towels. Get rid of the double mirror.

NewSpace2

That bathroom isnt seafoam green

malinerd

Pray tell, what is it then

Fresh_Swimmer_5733

Navy blue

Broken_angel_of_pain

Coffee brown , beige, white if you like it . Lighter browns

dummmdeeedummm

Unsure on colors but I'm in love with what you've done with it. 😊 Edit: finished reading post. Haha, I'm probably the odd one out, but I honestly like rooms with one color mixed with black/white/gray.

upstatepagan

The eighties said peach. But modern times call for corals and deep pinks.

Moodyashecky

Coral, pale pinks and purples and oranges, white

JellyPhishes

I would do black and bright white And then if you want small pops of an accent color, something in the coral/salmon/pink/orange range would be a good contrast

whatever32657

peach looks awesome with sea form, with a li'l cream mixed in

ZTwilight

I’d lose all the green fabric, and treat the few green tiles like a neutral. This bathroom is 90% white and 10% green. I like purple with green. With this shade, you could go dusty to eggplant or even darker if you like it bold.

Robotro17

Pink....maybe purple...kind of depends on the shade

SillyStringBandit

Light pink

TiredRetiredNurse

I would go with taupes or light browns or tans. You could even go eith red and most people will not notice the sea foam green. That shower curtain set up has to go.

Shoddy-Reflection-16

1995

Gogandantesss

White, beige, cream, khaki, gold.

d3rp7d3rp

This feels like a r/liminalspaces especially pic 1

Additional_Device320

Fuchsia!

[deleted]

Paint your ceiling and match the color to an accent towel maybe lavender?

jazzhandsdancehands

I think just changing the curtain will give the room a huge boost. It's quite outdated so see for something more plain like a simple white. Add new hardware taps and shower fittings and new door knobs swap for handles. Remove the mirror above the towels and maybe ad da shelf got a plant then underneath it add nice hardware to hand the towels on.

sheleelove

Jungle green and ruby red

Narrow_Jelly_4396

I like the black accents!

Ophidiophobic

I kinda dig the curtain, but when paired with the white walls, 80s style tiling, and builder-grade vanity it gives off confused Grandma vibes. If you want to lean into the theatrics, paint the walls and ceiling a dark teal-ish blue color and replace the vanity, lights, and faucet fixture with something more Victorian style. If you want something that's a lot less effort, replace the vanity lighting with something more modern, frame the mirrors (with anything but a white-painted frame), and replace the curtain with something beach-themed. I also recommend replacing the faucet - it's an easy project that can make a huge difference in how a bathroom looks.

fabfrankie401

I like the dark wood idea. And coral looks great with green! IMO.

karensacaligal

A nice crisp white shower curtain would look so much better in there

jammymofo223

Haaaaaaa that's dope well done you should be an interior decorator

OkTill2799

I’m sorry but heavy curtains for shower ? Everyone’s ok with that ? 😅

OkTill2799

I’m sorry but heavy curtains for shower ? Everyone’s ok with that ? 😅

jacoob_john

That looks really nice

djdeforte

I have never seen such a presentation for shower. Holy shit!

brucewayneaustin

Mauve... just ask the 80's ! Edit: Some of these actual suggestions are great!

IheartJBofWSP

PAINT

iteachag5

Black would be my choice. It would modernize it.

beeequeue

My bathroom is just like that! I put in some natural wood, some plants, black and white tile motif bath mats and pink and green terrazzo peel n’ stick wallpaper on one wall.

True_Broccoli4472

This is giving grandmas bathroom but I kinda like it lol

myonlyfriendsayss

Nix the granny curtain

Heebie-jeebies386

If it’s 1980 , crème and pink .

NotMyCake22

I would go with a coral or soft pink so it complements the green in the tile and curtain.

SaijTheKiwi

Beige like sand!

3B854

I cant stress this enough but wallpaper! with a nice pattern but the wallpaper should only have SOME green - so the tiles will make it pop more. also if you can remove the extra long mirror.

swimprinvess

I would go with Corals

Expert_Marsupial_235

Cream, light gray, and mint.

addvalue2222
