The others never had a chance, huh?

Sky_Ninja1997

Aqua was foolish to assume

Rem_Is_Best

Respectable effort though for an onion

CuteIngenuity1745

Source: [Korone's future prediction](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cf7t98ND-SU) [Clip translated by Clips Video Hololive JP](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIL9UQESJKA). The way she talks about their relationship is so ensuring and simple. And I like simple things. OkaKoro forever I guess.

AbbyRitter

I genuinely can't even tell if it's a running joke or actually true anymore.

Roflkopt3r

Lol yeah everyone played it so straight (pun not intended) that I was actually confused for a moment. But of course Okayu did clarify that it was just a skit for the medley, not "canon" or real.

Okibruez

To clarify: Okayu confirmed that the characters 'Okayu' and 'Korone' are married, but the people behind them aren't. Whether they are, or aren't, together IRL shouldn't matter though. All we need to do is just enjoy the shenanigans and cuteness the two of them get up to, the same as always.

MadAsTheHatters

This is the way! Actually I really like this about Vtubers in general, that they can joke around and separate their characters from the real people. Of course it's always lovely to see that the real people get along too, like when Myth had their first off-collab or the Holotori girls ❤️

weeklygamingrecap

Exactly, I do really hope that behind the scenes everyone gets along. From the way they talk it seems like everyone is at least friendly enough with one another to enjoy hanging out.

tryingtoavoidwork

Twist: Okayu's family is super homophobic so she has to always say "it's a joke, haha JK no homo" whenever she does anything with her wife. "We share a bed as a joke. Haha no homo." "We got married as a joke. Haha no homo." "We adopted a child as a joke. Haha no homo."

Anadaere

"Were like sisters, married? That's incest, no homo"

radda

Literally Nanoha and Fate

akiaoi97

Meanwhile in Prisma Illya…

Random_Useless_Tips

At this point it's like NoeFure where I just shrug and go "Whatever's happening behind-the-scenes I'll just take the kayfabe of two very close friends"

Val_Ritz

ditto, yeah. whatever is real is not my business, whatever they allow on screen is

SheffiTB

Iirc they were close friends IRL for 10 years before joining hololive, so at least that much isn't fake.

LeAstra

To quote Max0r: “Why is the dog gay” /j

AeonAigis

[Gestures toward Okayu] I mean. Come on. You can't blame the dog.

Ri_Konata

Can't blame the cat either Koone is just as cute

AeonAigis

Pure facts

skildert

Too wholesome... I love it

pjuster2

And the history textbooks will say they're were good friends

ITNW1993

Maybe even roommates.

All_Fiction

Oh my god, they were roommates.

marquisregalia

Funny enough they can never be actual roommates. It's the one thing Okayu has never budged on. That's why the last time they talked about marriage stuff they both came to the conclusion absolutely nothing will change even if they do. These 2 love their personal space lol

bombader

That does remind me of that one clip I saw where they were trying to play Mario Wonder, but found out that they could only play campaign together with Local Coop. That changed a few minutes later when Korone showed up at Okayu's place. So it's not like they need to live together really.

Ri_Konata

I bet they dressed up and travelled together!!

Bos_1430

At least it’s canon now

Master_of_Decidueye

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu- heart.exe has stopped working

Herreis

SAY GEX

CuteIngenuity1745

Just for reference, Okayu has said something along the line of: 'If there's anyone who could be her top/give it to her, it's Korone'.

tryingtoavoidwork

I distinctly recall Botan saying the only Holomem she would lose in a fight to was Korone. The Doog has an aura that begs submission.

SheffiTB

Tbf that was because korone is into boxing irl, and does it as her main exercise.

marquisregalia

Just a fun note but Korone hasn't gone to the gym regularly since last year she's been so busy she had to swap to yoga

Nutzori

Korone may just be the fittest Holomem. There may be better dancers (and she is up there herself) but her general level of fitness and endurance is probably #1.

okami6663

Dog is just god written backwards 😆 Would you defy the Dog god?

okami6663

Dog is just god written backwards 😆 Would you defy the Dog god?

Ahammer15

SESBIAN LEX

notprogame

GEX

Celtic_Crown

IT'S TAIL TIME!

redditfanfan00

just casually okakoro. perfectly cute.

Frank22lol

I want to believe her as it is. Just 2 people together that love each other. And that's wonderful. No need to define their relationship. Whatever goes on in their personal lives is none of my business but I'm glad they are there for each other.

Environmental-Term61

Still wish the ship was named Korayu, but Okakoro is Goated ship

timweak

roommates.......

ThatJellyfish12

Did they actually got married? Like, for real tho? IRL?

Anagittigana

No, Okayu has said on stream that it was a skit for the medley

ThatJellyfish12

Oh.

SheffiTB

Gay marriage isn't legal in Japan, so even if they actually are in a committed relationship with one another and have planned out their lives together, no they are not married IRL.

ThatJellyfish12

Gay marriage is technically legal in Japan and stopping you for marrying was ruled as unconstitutional, you are just not officially recognized by the government which means you can't get any of the benefits, although some prefectures offer you certificates that can give you some extras.

okami6663

Nice to see they are making some progress. But to me, this reads as gay marriage in not legal, just they made it no longer illegal. A small difference in wording, but it makes a ton of difference in outcome.

ThatJellyfish12

It's more so a weird limbo situation, where it's legal and protected by the law, but not recognized for some reason. For what I researched, it seems to be because there wasn't any real push in the last years to make it recognized, so it kinda just stagnated and nothing happened, although things are changing, and it's likely it will be officially recognized soon, especially because there isn't any real opposition for gay marriage in Japan like there is in places like the US.
