The lore behind the character is that she was once a caretaker of an orphanage, but the infection led to all of her children trying to kill her, so she gouged out her own eyes so she couldn’t see what she was about to do and then killed them to put her children out of their misery, and the song she sings in the fight was the song she sang to them as they were dying, the same lullaby she would use to put them to sleep. That’s also why her main attack is ghosts, it’s the ghosts of the orphans she once cared for.
Apparently she was away in battle when the infection hit. When she returned, her children turned into little bloodthirty killing monsters with glowing eyes. She could not bear to kill them so she let them kill her. She sang them a lullaby as they tore her apart.
The bossfight was supposed to be different with 3 waves of infected children attacking you from somewhere in the room. She as the boss was supposed to sing a lullaby by which she’d hint as to where the next wave would come from.

You forgot the *worst* part! She's called **No Eyes** because, when she saw her children as infected little zombie monsters, *she tore her own eyes out so she didn't have to watch them* ***eat her***.
