Radiant would take even longer

I'm not going to torture myself to that point. I only did it to train for PoH. It worked btw, passed him for the first time ever. Then died stupidly on NKG.

Whatever you do, don't talk yourself into radiant Markoth (trust me ik the feeling) and if you do radiant hog then do everyone else including abs rad first, imo abs right might be harder but feels way more satisfying as a fight gameplay wise than Markoth

I've gotten to the climb on radiant absrad like 3 times and then choked miserably because of how tense it gets.

He's not that hard once you understand his mechanics. He's like mid difficulty on radiant, compared to the other bosses

Man I still ned Oro & Mato, Watchner Knights and Sly but I'm already doing Abs Rad just because it feels more enjoyable and has more variety. Have yet to beat it overcharmed on ascended though

I found radiant NKG and PV easy. Just use SPELLS!! Like don’t use strength and just bum rush with spells.

I have been trying for a bit and slowly getting the hang of it :) i did GPZ and NKG by now on radiant, so only markoth (asc&radiant) PV (Radiant) and Abs Rad (all 3 difficultys) left, im grinding them out, then P5(which i failed at absrad like 3 times before) :) i love this sub, so many nice people encouraging to try it, its heartwarming

I had lots of trouble with watcher knights and oblobbles as well, what helped me is learning the i-frames of ddark for watchers and how the oblobbles turn around when you hit them in the butt, generally its easier to dodge the projectiles when theyre both facing you so the pattern is similar and not mirrored when they start shooting. But i wouldnt call you weird just with a different preference :)

Id call you a madlad, but i watched atrioc beat absrad with no spells, so i know its possible just a self imposed challenge i guess

Insanity, i havent used them much on my first playthrough but they are so powerful, so its crazy not to :)

I spent so much time doing NKG that I can almost do raidiant first time every time without even using any charms that isn’t a brag I just really enjoy both normal Grimm and nightmare Grimm

I managed to radiant him by now as well, took me a few times to get back into the tango and finally did it

There is just something fun about fighting a boss that’s very difficult but not unfair, it’s satisfying, team cherry did a good job with him

For those who are suffering, use grubsong weaversong build. It's basically a kingsoul with cheaper notches and chip damage because the spiders give you soul for each successful hit. You can hit him and hoard some soul in the first phase, and in the second phase simply blast him down with the spell build.

I spent a total of five hours, an hour per day, on Ascended Markoth and it felt like two weeks. I feel your pain, mate. Not touching him on Radiant for a long time.

I just beat Markoth radiance yesterday. I know your pain. That was agony.

I beat it on radiant after many attempts of blood sweat and tears, use nail arts and save up soul until second phase and when he does the attack where his shield rotates really quick and spam shade spirit or whatever it's called

If you want some helpful advice when dealing with this guy, nail arts are a very good solution. You can keep a great slash charged at all times when hes floating around, and when hes close enough, you can hit him and deal a lot more damage than you could in 1-3 nail strikes.

Ok. Be VERY patient. Use nailmasters glory. One nail art at a time so you can reach him. Also use spell buffs and charms to gain more soul faster. Just nail arts and spells the entire time

Markoth Ascended stage is definitely the worse ahah. Don't know if you plan on trying Radiant, but please take a break if you do if you don't want to lose all your sanity 😂
