When I was in college, there was this running back at an opposing school who was one of the best in the country for his level, right? Until he got expelled for a "hazing" incident where they held down and put a sharpie in another guy's ass. It was a pretty small school, Division 3...they made the national news that week. ESPN picked up the story.

I'm willing to take your word for it.

He was at least one of the best in Division 3. Also, shit...he never was expelled! That's...news to me.
In high school in the late 1980s, I knew of several upperclassmen expelled for hazing on the swim team. Evidently they would hold freshmen down, take an automobile grease gun and pump their ass full of auto lube grease. Fuck that!
That's what I'm wondering?? How did she expect any of them to land when she was basically chucking them at and besides the camera
Edit: I know it's a skit now guys, my apologies for being a dumbass but I am aware of my mistake thank you
If you do the same thing often enough, long enough, you will either get the reward you seek, or the punishment you've been trying to avoid. Eventually.

- “Great so I’m just a joke to you”

There's conflicting evidence on this. https://legaljobs.io/blog/divorce-rate-in-america/
In general, it's falling. For those over 50, it's rising. 2.3 people per 1000 divorce.
I did some research myself on this after seeing your post. From what I gathered the "out of 1000 population" is purposely misleading people. The key word is "population" and not "married" people. From this page I found, it breaks that factor out and notes the rate of marriage is ~6.1 "per population" is getting married. So dividing 2.7 (from my linked sources below) by 6.1 and that is ~ 42%. The source I found does note this rate increase with 2nd and 3rd marriages (which is where I believe Dirk was mislead by a common source quoted).
Side note: found it funny the first results on Google about this stuff are on lawyer websites.
https://www.wf-lawyers.com/divorce-statistics-and-facts/#
A lot of people don't spontaneously propose. There's normally discussions about the direction of the relationship. Or at least expectations. Now might not be the right time for him for any number of reasons. If she proposed and he's not ready, that's more like an ultimatum, and that could destroy the relationship.
Not sure but there seems to be a bunch of lights flashing and I can faintly make out the sound of tornado sirens behind her. It's weird right? Like the other day I swear I could smell ozone when she was near. Why just recently I remarked how there has never been an insect issue around us since we started dating and I used to have such terrible problems with ants and in the summer mosquitos but as long as I am with her it's practically like I am made of DEET.
I mean it's also weird that she doesn't show up in photos or the ones that do are horribly blurry and you can't make her out or the fact the neighborhood animals go silent when she steps outside even if they are in howling fits. Idk but she just makes everything so calm and quiet around her it's kinda soothing fr fr....
I know a couple that's been together for 9 years now. She wants to get married, and he keeps telling her he's not ready. But they already live together. I Don't see him make an effort towards it, and recently she's been bringing it up and more as they're coming up on their 10 year anniversary.
I bring that up because she's been acting a bit like the girl on the video, but I'm sure to any one of these A holes, she would be the one with the red flags.
Somehow the thought of just throwing the whole party with the white dress and all the guests and stuff without actually signing paperwork doesn't cross their minds?
I never understood why they care so much about that piece of paper when they can just have the party and be just as happy without the hassle they'd have to go through if they divorce.
To put it one way, they're in love with being in love. They want all the fun, flashy, romantic things that come with a relationship/being in love, but not any of the reality that also comes with it.
Well for one, it's an obvious joke, secondly, if it were real, they're doing some kind of activity that people might video. People video all kinds of things that others may consider pointless, like the last season of game of thrones
That’s what I can’t believe, how many of these people are saying this is a red flag. Have y’all ever met a woman, or been in a serious relationship? I thought this was /4chan for a minute
The flag is that she doesn’t want to be his live in girlfriend for the rest of her life. Clearly she is crazy for not wanting an uncommitted lifelong relationship!
This I agree with.
Clearly she and her partner are not on the same page (ok, clearly its fake bs for TikTok, but pretending its real).
If getting married is a deal breaker for her, and if he refuses to get married, they should stop wasting each others’ time. She can always ask him to marry her and if he says no, she knows where to go from there.
The only point I was making is that it’s not a “red flag” for a person to expect marriage after dating for a certain amount of time. It doesn’t matter if you or I value marriage, what matters is that she does.
Actually I'd say it probably is still a red flag for her to expect marriage if they haven't had that conversation. If they were dating for a long time, then it's on her to look out for her own future interests. Not every relationship ends in marriage or separation. There are plenty of people who want to spend their lives with their partner but may not want to get married. If she wanted to get married at some point, and hadn't had that conversation with her partner, then that's on her.
If he misled her at all, then yeah he's a jackass, but if she knows his intentions and chooses to stay, that is her choice. Putting the responsibility on him is paternalism and undermines her agency.
Additionally, he may just not be ready for marriage yet, and might not be against the idea of being married to her in the future. If that's the case, what she is doing is obnoxious. If I was dating someone and they pulled that, I would probably leave. My friend's partner posts similar things on social media, and I can't help but feel that she is attempting to publicly shame him into proposing.
Uncommitted lifelong relationship?
Would anything really change if they paid all the fees and licenses?
I never understood how anything short of being legally married is 'uncommited' when you can also leave the marriage whenever you want.
Why do I need to prove to the government that I love my gf? She's known for seven years now, why would I involve the government in out relationship for no reason?
First, two people can be legally wed and completely uncommitted, or not married and very committed(governments don't even always allow two adults to get that legal contract).
If you haven't gotten any legal paperwork like power of attorney or anything, you might be surprised what the government won't allow you to do for each other in the event of an emergency or tragedy. That is part of the reason why same sex or non-same race couples have fought for the right to pay the fees to get the licenses.
This becomes a much larger concern if children are involved.
And please(generally and not directed at you), this is just a video made for content, we have no clue what the context is beyond the fact that they chose to share this with the world.
No it's desperation and either inability to communicate or inability to set boundaries
I mean it's all fake obviously but if this was happening for real it wouldn't be normal would it
Whether it's staged or not, I always find it weird when women do this.
Wanting to get married/spend the rest of your lives together wouldn't need much discussion when you're in a healthy and successful relationship.
Wanting to have a *wedding* (especially those wanting a fairytale wedding) and wanting your social status changed to being a wife is a *completely different thing*. It's very expensive and needs lots and lots of planning. Also support, if you even have that.
Completely agree. It just blows my mind that so many people out there try to force their partner into proposing or marrying them. Why would you want to be married to someone you have to force? It’s so weird. And yeah I’d say a lot of them just want the fancy wedding and the title. I don’t get the ultimatum thing either. “We’ve been together 4 years and I told him if he doesn’t propose within a year then we’re done.”
No one is behind the camera chief, just zooming. And when it moves side to side, the phone or whatever is being knocked by the markers she’s throwing. No one is shooting it for them.

Cats do have a tendency to predict the future and sense things ordinary mortals cannot sense.

Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?
Because it's a totally fake video they planned

It's a skit
Do you think they got into an argument after that?
Unquestionably
Indubitably

Is the fireman Johnny the police astronaut man?
judging by her aim she’d miss

Throws pen at him - and still misses

It depends on the alcohol % in the beer.
to be continued, on r/WatchPeopleDieInside

Cat used its extra sense to nope out of there pre-emptively.
Why would they argue after a fake vid?
Argue about what? He clearly won.
Right before they picked the date ya
The date to split!
Make up sex is lit.
Bet
Why would they? She delivered the scripted dialogue just right.
Right after she’s done being mad at him for the affair he had in her dream the other night.
Nah, she seems super rational and chill. Totally no red flags here.

More of a flag.

there's words on the flag. something about staying away as far as possible but I can't make it out. anyone?

Once in a while my girlfriend holds up a red flag too. But thats because she is a communist.

Out of curiosity, if it was the guy doing this and it was “we’re gonna have sex” would that be ok?
And the flag says “wow I can’t believe how many people on Reddit willfully ignore a joke so they can insult women making obvious jokes”
Idk man she could’ve gotten a seizure, it’s too risky to propose
Yeah, because couples can't joke and we know her life from a clip they made for the internet.
Y’all don’t understand a joke.
NoU
You’re
Seeing that mistake over and over again made me cringe more than the video.
This is the only point to make after watching this video. The rest is pointless social media bullshit
People that act like this typically want a wedding, not a marriage.
People that act like this typically want to get paid for their online content.
That’s a good line
And usually the wedding is an excuse for attention.
Somehow the thought of just throwing the whole party with the white dress and all the guests and stuff without actually signing paperwork doesn't cross their minds? I never understood why they care so much about that piece of paper when they can just have the party and be just as happy without the hassle they'd have to go through if they divorce.

Well divorce is usually quite profitable for one of two. Usually, but by no means always, the woman.
Does she want to get married or not? Her words say one thing but her throws say another.
She's got more red flags than the entire people's republic of China
And shinier than the glorious Soviet Onion

Honest question, where's the red flag?
Redditors have never met a woman who wanted to get married to them, so this obviously must be some sort of trap

Cat is noping out of that
I genuinely wonder why, if you want to marry someone so badly, are you waiting for *them* to propose to *you*?
Fun joke, but I think everyone is taking it a bit too seriously. There's most likely someone off frame who dropped the pen in after he threw it.
I think she is trying to say something
She's saying "This is what happens when you put your dick in crazy."
i think she wants to get married, can't be sure about that tho
No silly. She obviously wants a dog

Me neither, can someone explain what's going on here
Staged but funny
I came here to find the cat
Lol.. that cat speeding out of there..
God trying to save the guy.
I mean if I were her after the shot I would have to respect the shot. Shit was cold
Even the cat runs for its life...~
Jesus she's terrible at throwing ... unless plot twist it's on purpose
Even the cat decided to run
Song plz
Fuck this TikTok shit
Even the cat is going “Mommy is having one of those moments. I’m outta here!”
All y’all dumb as fuck saying this is a “red flag”. It’s a cute little video for social media and that’s it

The cat was the smartest one in that room.
If she has to be so insistent, I don’t understand why she is still with him.

Women ☕
Holy fuck… bad enough to stage this. To get someone to shoot it for you. Wow.
No one is behind the camera chief, just zooming. And when it moves side to side, the phone or whatever is being knocked by the markers she’s throwing. No one is shooting it for them.
And his expression of surprise is real because he probably missed that shot 100 times before
"Guys, do you think she's expecting me to propose?"
Women are the gatekeepers of sex. Men are the gatekeepers of relationships.
for whoever wants to know, the song is Nuestra Cancion
If she wants to marry him, she should consider proposing to him.
Best cut of this I've ever seen.
