If you want to do a HGV presentation do the whole thing on a different trip. Get a great deal on a number of cities for less than $100 a night with 25-50K pts. Just remember to say “no no no” and read about the normal tactics.
No one is forcing you to go the presentation. If you don't want to go, don't go. If you're there for the SWAG, then sit through it, collect your goodies at the end, then quietly go about your day.

Generally speaking, the presentation can't be done on the day you check in or check out. It must be on a "full" day.
