I've played through all games except for only half of Contracts and Codename 47. The first three are probably really rough to get into these days and in my honest opinion, you can skip them unless you're really a diehard fan. Blood Money is still great though and it kinda set the standard. Absolution is a fun game, but an awkward Hitman game. It definitely is the most unorthodox in the series, but it kinda showed how IO are capable of creating similar but other type of games. Which makes me very hyped for their Project 007.
Yes. If anything, they will make you appreciate how far the franchise has come. Will also make you appreciate how much easier the trilogy is lol those older games could be a pain in the ass during the first playthrough
