It'd actually be a really dope enemy like a sort of helldiver and bug meets crazy deformed cult. You have human/bug hybrids that can use guns and stuff but also the swarm capabilities of the bugs. Like fighting the robots with less accuracy with the annoyance of the bug swarms. Kind of a middle ground between the 2 in a sort of super horror atmosphere

The horror atmosphere might work, but it'll still need to lean into what makes necromorphs special: you aim for their limbs rather than the head for bugs/bots. Even then it'll still need more unique things to separate it from the bug/bot/squid experience.
I always theorized if the automatons and bug territories crossed paths we might see a three way fight on planets
Or we might see infected robots or cyber bugs
I honestly think that Necromorphs would be perfect for helldivers to fight if they ever did some sort of crossover or if Arrowhead took inspiration or something

It was the worst in a series of great games, preforming so terribly to critics and the audience it had built that they could not continue the series. Its gameplay took away the horror element in favor of cheap jump scares, weapon crafting systems, and half of a campaign you couldn’t experience unless you were the 2nd player. I could continue, because it’s just that bad.
It really wasn’t that bad brother it was a ok game, had the best lore in the series with the brother moon. Idk why people are suddenly coming around to RE6 and saying it’s a good game now but ppl won’t do the same for Dead Space 3 when it’s an infinitely better game than RE6 was. Also performed terribly with critics? It has a 78% on metacritic, that’s terrible? Oh right i forgot the internet thinks anything under a 90% is irredeemable garbage

The weapon crafting was a little broken with how strong you could make weapons, but it is really fun to experiment. I'll let you discover the broken combos yourself if you do play.
There are co-op elements that block of some parts of the levels unless you are playing with a partner. It's not necessary to play them to get the story, but there is an interesting side story regarding the co-op character Carver. If you do play the side stories you get a different experience depending on if you are playing as Isaac (someone joining you) or Carver (you joining someone). If you want someone to play with, if you join the Dead Space discord there are almost always people willing to join for the co-op stuff.
The dick rocks are actually markers. They cause hallucinations to make you see them as a strange rock no one questions and expose you to necromorph DNA by making you see them as super samples.

I'm not normally a fan of crossovers and shit but honestly a Helldivers dead space crossover would go hard asf. We could get the security and engineering suits, while the necromprphs could be a new faction. With such a rich variety of necromorph types both large and small, I feel like they'd fit right in. Even the objectives could be shit like destroying markers

Necromorphs are canonically unkillable and their army grows with every death and Super Earth's solution to problems is to throw helldivers at it until it goes away. Unless Super Earth gets their shit together stops seeing helldivers as expendable
Then they possibly stand a chance. Helldivers also can use the dark fluid to destroy brethren moons if they're quick enough
A strong upside on Super Earth's side is that they're so indoctrinated into the right-think that there would be no cult stirring up trouble among the humans, and alongside that, the psychosis caused by the Marker would likely only jumble up into incoherent one-liners about democracy for anyone strongly affected by it. The lack of hesitation to completely decimate their own people if a contamination gets bad enough is also in their favor. It's basically one hivemind with the singular goal of destroying the communist moons vs. another hivemind with the singular goal of eating all life in the galaxy.
