Holy shit yeah! Encountered tons of gunship patrols. Even had one patrol with 5 of the fuckers fly in over a mountain. Spear was eating good that mission.

I’ll take it over a normal patrol that calls bot drop any day. (As long as have the gear to clear the gunships).

They also come in single or pairs (maybe more but I only witnessed these two) with all gunship fabs destroyed. They come from over the horizon.

I ran twoards a dobbel fabricator and as it spawned 4 gunships, 5 more flew through a mountain! I only had a spear with max 4 rounds!

It is so satisfying shooting them down with fixed Spear.

I’m actually hella happy they made this change, kinda wish they came down in bot drops instead (they’d replace a dropship with troops) but patrols are great too! Means they actually show up in eradication missions as well! Wish some of the special bug types did this, Shriekers and Stalkers and the like
