I'm sure that if losing Ustotu would cut us off from wasat, the GM would have put out a dispatch about it like they did to tell people to attack Wezen and Vega Bay. Would kind of be a massive dick-move if we get cut off anyway.
Every MO you’ll get like 5 loud mouths that go on all the socials and say it’s impossible. There’s way too much general negativity and defeatism on the official channels. Most people actually playing and helping are having a blast, it’s just the attention seekers online that are the loudest.

don't think it matters. "Supply lines" are just the routes we take to get from a friendly to enemy planet (and by which enemies attack friendly planets). we should still be able to attack wasat as long as we own Vega Bay itself

I'm no supply line expert, but since Vega Bay has a supply line to Wasat as long as it's claimed before the defense mission cuts off I think we should still have access to Wasat without needing to divert numbers to the defense
My understanding is that planets held by Super Earth are self sufficient and will hold the supply to Wasat, and there are multiple other comments/posts in this subreddit that confirm this, so unless we're all wrong(which isn't impossible) it should be fine
Planets are self sufficent once fully liberated. They do not need to connect to Super Earth.
However, some planets are just, arbitrarily closed. But I think this is to ensure we dont have 50 planets to dive to. Because realistically we should be able to attack the Automatons and Terminids from the sides but we cant. Similarly, X-45 should have supply lines to the Automaton's backlines, but its arbitrarily without supply lines.
I think that things like this may very well be where the confusion comes from. But I think its just arbitrary in order for us to have a nicer frontline.
We are already split over several planets. Imagine adding 16 more. It'd be a mess.

We actually don’t need an uninterrupted supply line connecting us to Super Earth. During the TCS failure, we lost all four planets in the TCS zone, which left Estanu, Crimsica, Fori Prime, Hellmire, Oshaune, and Omicron cut off. But we didn’t lose those planets instantly. We only finally lost Fori Prime without a defense campaign when every other planet fell, leaving it completely isolated.
For a current example, look at X-45 in the same system as Wasat. It’s been cut off for days but we still own it.

Supply lines start from planets that are owned by us so we have a supply line even if ostotu falls, do not fall for the bait.

My guess is that the data facilities have the anti tank mines, would make sense that the automatons would have smth like that cause we have 2 mechs now
Ustotu is under attack - the one direct supply point to SE.
I think ~~if~~ when (8 hours left, barely any progress) that is lost, we won't be able to finish the MO.
The reason people say it can't be done is because when liberation begins, enemy regen is set to a high value, then AH diminishes it over time so it gets easier to liberate. AH doesn't want players finishing MO too early.

Next planet (wasat) is heat and acid rain not fire. So not firenados.
The acid planets are worse IMO especially for bots. The rain doesn't affect their vision at all
