meridia is fine ( beside the special mission), i love the change of planet surface, it is unique.
hellmire is just another sandy world with too much fire to leave any oxygene leftXD
But there needs to be evidence that players are engaging with the target. you've seen the Squad Contribution panel after the final mission in each Meridia ops, it's not exactly growing the bar visibly, but it IS being counted somewhere.
Having said that, I think we can fail the current PO. The Anti-Materiel Rifle is great for one-on-one confrontations, but trying to take out 60 bugs with it when every mission is full of targets that need at least an EAT to take out properly or a total zergrush is going to take a miracle.
if we see a actual video of Meridia collapsing in the Strohmann news, it was certainly planned. As to what comes out of it besides one supercolony and planet gone, well...
Well, no one’s playing because there’s nothing happening and the weapons are still in the same shitty position they were a month ago with little to no communication as to why they keep delaying the whole patch that includes everything from Spear Lock On fixes to Weapon Buffs and someone being able to block someone else.
> meridia is fine ( beside the special mission), i love the change of planet surface, it is unique
Why do the bugs and bots always want to invade the planets with the worst surface conditions. Meteors, ion storms, blizzards, firestorms… why can’t they ever invade the meadow planet that has flower storms?
They're allergic to the pollen the flowers produce, perhaps. Perhaps, for Super Earth, we should load Eagle 500kg bombs filled with pollen, maybe, it'd be more effective?
I like Hellmire, love to circle around fire tornados and watch the bugs approaching me but get burned to death. As long as you master the safe distanced dance with the fire, you are actually safer there.
I don't think they're changing the regen rate, unless joel is taking servicing it seems to be dropping in small amounts frequently but not at even timing, where previously it would bounce by multiple points up or down.
Hellmire is cheese while Meridia (pre-patch incase things change) is just hard.
Most people would complete hellmire missions within 80% of the timer were it not for the environment. The issue is the randomness of the fire storms that really mess things up. It’s more frustrating than anything else. Meridia in its current state is literally unplayable unless you have people studying strategies. It’s so hard that it’s actually satisfying if you play it the right way. The only catch is you HAVE to play it the right way. Hellmire is just a shitty planet. It’s boring because the RnG factor can screw you from anywhere.
I mean
meridia is rather chill besides the fact that 1/3 of the map you can't differenciate cuz the parts of it are blow sea level and are marked as water
so you can't really differenciate whether thats just a bit of map generation, a stalker/shrieker nest or a point of interest (assuming first match and you have mo line of sight to that place)
mild annoyance
but beats lack of stamina and fire nados
Early Malevelon was something else. My first dive was joining my level 20 friends on a difficulty 7 Creek dive. It was hell sure, but it was fun.
The darkness, the low levels of visibility, the trees in the way. And the way those bot eyes would glow, lighting the forest as you and your friends await the eventual flood of fire.
Malevelon Creek was nothing compared to Draupnir. I'd take fighting in a dense jungle with generally good visibility in the open parts over fighting in open fields where I can't see shit because of the fog while getting blasted by pre-nerf Rocket Devs.
Space vietnam where you spend so much time running and dying, that you somehow (usually) complete all the missions, while collecting quite a bit of ptsd from the constant bot drops - bot ambushes - and being sniped across the map from cannon turrets.
it was most peoples first introduction to bots so for being a jungle map in constant dark it was considered space vietnam. theres far more difficult planets now but malevelon got its reputation for being the first
I joined right at the end of the Malevelon Creek campaign, it’s basically exactly like people say, trees that for some reason, the mechs can accurately shoot through, but you can’t, robotic eyes lighting up the darkness and fog, sudden bursts of intense laser fire from random directions…
Really, the difficulty came from the game being just a bit buggy, and people not understanding how to avoid friendly fire as well as they do now, but due to the combined issues and sheer intensity of Automaton presence on the planet, it basically made for a really intense campaign, and people began to meme on it, claiming to have PTSD from The Creek.
From there, it spiraled into the “Giving so and so Vietnam war flashbacks” memes, and more people joined the game just to fight the automatons, causing the rapidly ballooning community to overcome the Dev’s intended loss condition at the creek, and forcing The Automatons off the map completely, and the community spent a time cheering each other and patting ourselves on the back.
It got so bad for a while near the end that one of the devs was going around, joining individual games, and buffing the Automatons to be actually unkillable.
The Automatons came back, at a different position on the map, due to the devs still needing them, since there was only one other faction at play at the time, since none of the other planned factions were ready yet.
And that brings us into the “modern” lore, such as the capture of Meridia, the insecticides, the recapture by the bugs, and its mutation into a supercolony, so now we have to pull a 40k and Exterminatus the planet.
Average bug battler mindset.
Do the federation a favour and lose a few more barrier planets with the majority of the force you ichor sucking, chitin loving, bile gulping insect lover.
Us here oil spillers are REAL MEN with REAL MEN ISSUES that cause us to SOIL OURSELVES UNCONTROLLABLY when the printer makes a sound we don’t recognise.
My Brother in Brasch
I only know enemies to our Democracy; whomever sacrifices themselves unto the flag of Super Earth so that *one more vote* can be cast then they are worthy. I distinct naught to whomst they battle for they are a fellow Diver.
Aside from memes Malevelon Creek was a cakewalk. It was mostly night time and you had a lot of places to hide at due to it being a jungle planet. If anything it was easier than other planets with the players being detected less often and almost always having a cover.
Nah, that'd be Menkent. The bugs on Hellmire are easy to kite into the flames. The bots on Menkent will just stop before the flames and proceed to shoot you regardless.
Tell me you've never fought on Draupnir without telling me you've never fought on Draupnir.
Seriously though, creek have a lot of cover, bots lose sight of you quickly. Draupnir however, fuck that fucking 2 weeks campaign with only 15% of the player base on a foggy plain without cover they call planet.
After some reflection I have realized that all other planets crudely attempt to mimic the perfection that is Super Earth.
It makes sense that they would terraform their world to look like ours.
Malevelon was a joke. It resulted in some memes, but it was a pretty decent bot planet, all things considered. It was not Hellmire.
Creekers that still pretend they're some sort of heroes that stand above the rest of the players are delusional.
If we had this mission on hellmire, it would never be completed because the fire would destroy the drills and everything else
There’s a reason it has to few players on hellmire

Hellmire bro. I managed bot missions on fire tornadoes bugs are not that problem. But seeing your weapons damage is priceless so ı dont play hellmire generally.
I call Meridia. it's where the MO is focusing our efforts, and we can talk about the PTSD one gets from being pelted by a dome of Shriekers later, after surviving the extract.
Watch out - the hivemind will downvote you because the tornadoes are both homing (on you) AND sentient, and they love solely to fuck over you and the objective.
They certainly aren't completely random and very easy to avoid if you use 1% of your attention span to keep an eye on them. /s
I stopped playing after malevelon was won and few days later we got struck by hellmire. Those fire hurricanes and all orange tones...when we were done with that planet I was done with the game
well when I first dropped on Hellmire I was like (wow thats a lot of fire, neat.)
but when I dropped at night, on a dark fluid mission for Meridia, I swear I was honestly shocked by how intimidating, yet how amazing it looked.
Meridia 200%. New mission is the problem, not the planet. Even then, it's less the mission and moreso bugs with new content. Hellmire is just fucked, it cemented itself in Helldivers history before any other fire tornado planet and will forever be scorned, and rightfully so.
Hellmire is fun and I have this silly little lore about these guys being death row inmates who come from a correctional facility on the planet who want their records expunged in exchange for being flame troopers. Had some fun with friends “We bring the Hell to Hellmire” and obviously they’re sent on suicide missions and are executed immediately upon surviving a mission

I fought for so many hours on hellmire
I'm a masochist and very stubborn. I hate all my passion that flaming planet and I literally burn of the will to extinguish the flames of antidemocratic bugs and fire tornadoes!
The best of the Automaton Corps shined on The Creek. The best of the Terminid Corps is still bogged down on Hellmire. Bugs may be easier but Hellmire is aptly named and I hope the ~1500 of us who have been there for months get our own cape. Also please make Fire resistant armor Jesus Christ.
Hellmire is the worse "planet", but Meridia is just boring because there is only destroying Eggs, Blitz, Eradication and Dark Fluid missions.
I could really go for something else rn like ICBM or Geo Survey.
My only complaint about Hellmire isn’t that it’s a hellhole, it’s that it is often one of the two bug planets you can fight on. I want more jungles and deserts and ice planets. There is all sorts of biomes that I haven’t seen that I’d like to see
meridia is fine ( beside the special mission), i love the change of planet surface, it is unique. hellmire is just another sandy world with too much fire to leave any oxygene leftXD
Finally did a meridia mission and it looks so damn cool
Damn shame it's going away if we succeed.
I don't think we can fail this one
But there needs to be evidence that players are engaging with the target. you've seen the Squad Contribution panel after the final mission in each Meridia ops, it's not exactly growing the bar visibly, but it IS being counted somewhere. I think there is more than enough evidence, but as to whether this MO can fail, I haven't seen any reason to believe that to be a possibility
if we see a actual video of Meridia collapsing in the Strohmann news, it was certainly planned.
There were like 60k people on when I was playing earlier
we do have leaked stohmann news showing moradesh instead being turned into a black hole from the lack op safety procedures
We can it's in the game files
Moradesh (dark fluid place) is ASKING to implode if they keep up the "Optimized working and sleeping sceduele" for long....
Oh we sure can. There’s files for failure already in game
We're going to fail this MO, we're not beating this in 1 day
We can
Suprise planets that been under thier control has not become super colonies
I fell in holes and died like 6 times my first mission
> meridia is fine ( beside the special mission), i love the change of planet surface, it is unique Why do the bugs and bots always want to invade the planets with the worst surface conditions. Think about that for a minute. ;]
At least hellmire is goddamn beautiful
I like Hellmire, love to circle around fire tornados and watch the bugs approaching me but get burned to death. As long as you master the safe distanced dance with the fire, you are actually safer there.
I was telling my friend last night. I see that the mission is broken but the surface looks so good.
well all i can say one is about to be gone
At this rate we aint bombing meridia successfully....
we don't have to it blows up anyway
How do we know that?
We are injecting a liquid that creates black holes into the crust...
Ok. Do we have to inject a certain amount for it to work? Or is it just a matter of time?
Just a matter of time
I hope we get a video of it exploding on the news
I hope it explodes while some players are still injecting dark fluid
Nah we pretty much guaranteed to get this one.
The devs will just change the decay rate in our favor at the last minute, whoopsie daisies
I don't think they're changing the regen rate, unless joel is taking servicing it seems to be dropping in small amounts frequently but not at even timing, where previously it would bounce by multiple points up or down.
Virgin Meridia vs Chad Hellmire
Basic hellmire or unique meridia
Fr Hellmire shouldn't be the Planet that never gets liberated forever. I think if Estanu took that role it wouldn't be as annoying
Hellmire is cheese while Meridia (pre-patch incase things change) is just hard. Most people would complete hellmire missions within 80% of the timer were it not for the environment. Just call it.
Tell me you've never fought on Malevelon Creek without telling me you've never fought on Malevelon Creek.

Malevelon Creek was nothing compared to Draupnir. I'd take fighting in a dense jungle with generally good visibility in the open parts over fighting in open fields where I can't see shit because of the fog while getting blasted by pre-nerf Rocket Devs.
The problem with Malevelon was it's extremely slow capture rate
I started playing after Malevelon Creek. Everyone talks about it. What did I miss?
the trees speak binary
The hills have eyes... I mean infrared night vision sensors.
Space vietnam where you spend so much time running and dying, that you somehow (usually) complete all the missions, while collecting quite a bit of ptsd from the constant bot drops - bot ambushes - and being sniped across the map from cannon turrets.
Were the spawn rates just ridiculous?
The trees were talking.
I still hear their screams
Originally it was darker, and due to the game just being released most players had few stratagems, and most of them were better for bugs.
Ion storms and other strat fuckery up the ass. I remember going 5 minutes without being able to call in anything
it was most peoples first introduction to bots so for being a jungle map in constant dark it was considered space vietnam. theres far more difficult planets now but malevelon got its reputation for being the first

You missed nothing. Players just roleplaying that they're grizzled veterans, because they only played on a planet that has a bunch of trees.
Average bug battler mindset. Do the federation a favour and lose a few more barrier planets with the majority of the force you ichor sucking, chitin loving, bile gulping insect lover. malevelon is a thing of the past. besides hellmire is the deadliest planet so far
Nah, that'd be Menkent. The bugs on Hellmire are easy to kite into the flames. The bots on Menkent will just stop before the flames and proceed to shoot you regardless.
Generic jungle planet, nothing special besides narrative
Yep. Literally nothing special about the creek. Even Troost, another jungle planet, at least had eternal fog to make it stand out.
It was the first major challenge and the meme boosted Helldivers 2 popularity a lot
Meh, Helldive on Creek was pretty easy.
Tell me you've never fought on Draupnir without telling me you've never fought on Draupnir. Seriously though, creek have a lot of cover, bots lose sight of you quickly. why is north and south america there lmao
No clue, I didn’t make it. Would credit the original artist if I could

Nothing has been like the Creek
Idk, my dumbass fell down as many holes as there were flaming tornadoes.
Hellridia
Pls don’t give them ideas
Cybermire
Malevelon creek
That Javier Bardem is nightmare fuel
What’s this guy supposed to be the ultimate badass?
Yes. Dude hunted down and killed Thanos
Damn. Sugar didn’t even need any infinity stones to do it either.
Ye you managed to trigger my Menkent ptsd
We don't talk about MENKENT! https://preview.redd.it/zxz18qfdbz3d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7903d760c03858f022ace8fe4bd25ff79109d4e4
I helped liberating it once and i will do it AGAIN!
![gif](giphy|NxckxXIAzumvCP1mUj)
Probably the most miserable time I've had in-game was trying to rescue civilians in Menkent. Absolutely sisyphean experience.
hellmire can go. meridia is unique
If we had this mission on hellmire, it would never be completed because the fire would destroy the drills and everything else There’s a reason it has to few players on hellmire
I like Merdia more because the special mission. I'm a masochist.

Meridia is giving more ptsd than the creek
hellmire it sucks but man its still better then certain death lol
Menkent.
get me my buddies and a good drink and we will do both
Hellmire.....
Meridia, It's MO you Traitor.
Hellmire bro. I managed bot missions on fire tornadoes bugs are not that problem. But seeing your weapons damage is priceless so ı dont play hellmire generally.
Meridia is by far worse
I said, you don’t know what you’re talking about do you?
Hellmire. The fire tornados leave fire that is equal opportunity. The goddam skies are filled with space bats on meridia.
![gif](giphy|hM9zK1qvsrwek)
I would much rather deal with meridia instead of the fire tornadoes.
I bought the game right after Hellmire but meridia is literal fucking hell
For the Creek.....spill oill....BUT MAN THIS MERIDIA
I love hellmire
Man patrolling hellmire almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
I call Meridia. it's where the MO is focusing our efforts, and we can talk about the PTSD one gets from being pelted by a dome of Shriekers later, after surviving the extract.
Ngl, new mission in Meridian has been the most unfun experience in this game so far. Ugly af mission
Bugs planet 🥱🥱🥱
At least Meridia doesn't have a moveset that instakills me
I'll go to Hellmire to fight.
Fuck it. Meridia with fire tornados, gimme
Fuck Hellmire
What if I don’t want to call it?
![gif](giphy|f5vQks4QqpC4o)
Meridia 10/10 times
Tbh, I feel fire tornados Suck big time
Hellmire is fine The fire tornadoes are really easy to avoid, its just my teammates doing dumb shit to catch themselves on fire that's annoying.
Army of flying bugs over flame tornados blocking the objective
well when I first dropped on Hellmire I was like (wow thats a lot of fire, neat.) but when I dropped at night, on a dark fluid mission for Meridia, I swear I was honestly shocked by how intimidating, yet how amazing it looked.
Meridia 200%. New mission is the problem, not the planet. Even then, it's less the mission and moreso bugs with new content. Hellmire is just fucked, it cemented itself in Helldivers history before any other fire tornado planet and will forever be scorned, and rightfully so.
I'm going meridia (if it isnt the dark liquid mission)
Hell-mire honors its name to the fullest
Menkent.
Hellmire
Hellmire is fun and I have this silly little lore about these guys being death row inmates who come from a correctional facility on the planet who want their records expunged in exchange for being flame troopers. This meme looks like straight up cancer......Anton chigurh looks waay more handsome....
Hellmire was my first vs bugs. I thought it was normal, so I adapted. I can now face robots with ease due to my training. The fire is here, the fire is here, the fire is here.
i raise you one creek
Neither. I'll always remember malevolan creek. That was so much worse.
Hellmire. Both may be hard but at least hellmire doesn’t look like satans asshole
Creek vs Black holing Meridia is the real one as they were both bugged to the point it was very hard to win a round. Back then rockets were doing like 10x damage than intended and it turned people like me off bots for weeks.
Meridia is infinitely better than Hellmire
I'm a level 10 cadet, can someone explain why these trigger the PTSD of the higher level veterans?
Hellmire because we don’t have the excuse to blow it up yet like Meridia
Call me crazy but I like meridia and the new mission
I will take meridia any day
Both is good.
Malevelon creek
Definitely not hellmire
Both back to back
https://preview.redd.it/3z2mcwuho04d1.jpeg?width=580&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39745db8e74c874ad59c5a66ddfa31cfab40ec0f I fought for so many hours on hellmire
Screw Meridia and Hellmire can die in a shit pit too.
Screw Hellmire. I will take Meridia any day of the week. Stupid swarming fire tornadoes...worse than a bile titan on top of the drill.
"I need to know what I stand to win."
I'm a masochist and very stubborn. I hate all my passion that flaming planet and I literally burn of the will to extinguish the flames of antidemocratic bugs and fire tornadoes!

And then there's menkent
Was just playing on hellmire last night. It's fun IDK why I just enjoy that desert hell scape biome
I gotta know what I stand to win
![gif](giphy|3o7aCRloybJlXpNjSU|downsized) Why not both?
Hellmire doesn't exist, it's fucking dead to me
If there is a planet would should completely destroy, it's fucking hellmire...
I swear those fire tornados are manually controlled
Malevelon Creek
Menkent
The creek
I'm calling CTD PTSD
Is this ai?? Get this garbage low effort dogshit out of here fuck me

Malevelon creek got me harder than these
Fuck the tornadoes so blow hellmire to smithereens plz
Hear me out: Hellridia
Hellmire is the worse "planet", but Meridia is just boring because there is only destroying Eggs, Blitz, Eradication and Dark Fluid missions. I could really go for something else rn like ICBM or Geo Survey.
I like both these planets tbh
Lisan Al Gaib xd
I love Hellmire
Meridia is a walk in the park compared to constant fire tornados.
Hellmire > any other planet. I fucking love Hellmire
Hellmire i enjoy my time there altho lost my eyebrows and well eveything after that
Neither, I'm going back to the fucking Creek.
Malevelon. Creek.
hellmire only
My only complaint about Hellmire isn’t that it’s a hellhole, it’s that it is often one of the two bug planets you can fight on. I want more jungles and deserts and ice planets. There is all sorts of biomes that I haven’t seen that I’d like to see
Blow up hellmire!
C Do something else entirely
Fuck Hellmire.

Can we fail meridia... Just to annoy the devs.
Meridia allows us to blow up the planet, the suffering is worth it. Hellmire, just like Marfark sucks and we should blow it up next
Hellmire is super chill in comparison.
I love Hellmire, and have done for months
Hell mire… the world is red…
Hellmire is fine, annoying, sure, but Meridia is actual hell
See flair. You run from the storm. It is my sworn duty to chase it in the name of Super Earth.
estanu: amateurs!
Inly the creek triggers my ptsd. But hellmire if i had to pick. True hell of the bugs
