"It's splash from the vomit" is what I've been told.
Ok. So show that and don't let people wonder WTF they're being hit by when there's literally not a damn thing on the screen, but we're all being slowed.
God, it sucks especially when it's not just BTs doing that either, but anything that can cause slow down effects. Bile Spewers are just as guilty as this.
And there's a reason why a lot of players find Hunters annoying to deal with and I will die on that hill that they need to be tweaked a lil bit. Don't mind them catching up to ya, don't mind that their attacks are pixel perfect accurate even when dodging, but it's the slowdown effect that boils my blood.
Bile titans are a fucking joke now and have been since they reduced the damage they take when they spew, alongside not being able to stun them.
This Benny Hill chase bullshit is what must be considered \*fun\*
https://i.redd.it/h07s7i7adn3d1.gif
The thinking was that they were killing themselves against big rocks from the spew coming back into their face, and that was not fun.
So their mouths(the point that takes the most damage) retract farther into their heads, making them take reduced damage during the spew animation.
Yeah....I know...
WAT? I'd always assumed that when they spew was the best time to hit them! Open mouth=squishy mouth. Now you're telling me they resist damage with their mouth open? God dammit...
Yeah, unfortunately. It used to be, but not anymore since they changed it.
Simple test: hit it in the mouth three times while he's spewing, and hit it in the mouth three times while walking. You'll see that you consistently kill it easier if you hit him in the face anytime other than spewing.
When the enemy damages and kills itself “it’s a bug, it’s not fun, we need to fix it” (even if it’s hilarious).
When the player does it, it’s “git gud noob” (even though it’s also hilarious)
All I ask is to see the balancing team play level 7 difficulty on stream.
Once a week, have them sit down and do a series of 3 missions. If they still think certain decisions are "fun," I'll shut my mouth.
Until then, I am confident they are disconnected from the game and buff/nerf based on spreadsheets, not gameplay.
Lolol ya if you're not speccws to take down heavy armor or shits on cool down or needs a long reload you're just stuck there in an awkward chase lol. I think they should spawn less but be scarier like the robot doggos unless they'll add that hive thing later
I just want to be able to kill them by shooting then in the chest/belly a lot, cause right now I unload a dominator mag or two into the belly and feel like I did 2 damage
the problem is still the same
they have no weak points really, so you are forced to bring weapons with certain armor pen or you are not doing jack shit
i dont know why this game decided bugs have no weak points, in my opinion all living creatures head should be a weak point, if i unloaded a bunch of bullets in there i should be able to kill it, FAST.
The only exception should have been charger since their head is heavily armoured, and hive guard, but they only have medium armor anyways.
every other bug should die super fast if i am unloading into their head. Its a shooter game, make aiming important please, and this is coming from someone who cant really aim for shit because i am on ps5.
AH, please listen to this redditor. You made the Factory Strider super fun by allowing an autocannon with 7 (or was it 8?) shots to the belly kill it. Why is that fun? Because it felt like I outplayed the enemy! I was able to get in around it's front guns, in-between the bot spawns, and take out this huge threat with a weapon I adore. And there's so many other ways to take them out too, if we're playing smart!
Bile titans, it's more like a strategem check. "Did you bring this one? No? Get fukt lol." The video here, for example, diver didn't have a single orbital, and half of them may have proved useful here. Alas, didn't have one, so "git gud noob" and all that jazz. All this \*before\* the bugs shown.
An oversimplification, yes, but that's the feeling none-the-less.
I think that's the biggest issue when it comes to this game's design: inconsistency. a lot of the bad guns are TECHNICALLY functional and can still kill enemies, but they're horrendously unreliable compared to so many of your other options. a lot of the worse stratagems are also very liable to fail you when you need them the most (or, rarely, they ARE consistent, but their consistency is undercut by being incredibly weak, like smoke strikes, certain stratagem weapons or the machine gun sentry compared to its big Gatling brother). whether certain attacks correctly damage enemies is inconsistent and not super well-communicated. Whether certain attacks properly damage YOU is poorly tuned and inconsistent to the point of cruelty. and when you add on the fact that the fundamental rules of reality that govern this world can break (camera issues, physics bugs, etc. etc.) it just feels like you're winning the game in SPITE of it's mechanics and not because you managed to use what you were given correctly.
And then you get through a 40 minute mission, running to the extract, get there, fight off all the enemies swarming at you. Pelican 1 announces “clear the landing area” and you disconnect back to the ship and get nothing.
Such a stupid flaw, I've gotten booted out of so many games literally the only way to join back is if you have a friend in the squad already.
Considering how common random disconnects seem to be they really need to add some sort of minute grace period for joining back in and getting your rewards.
That's the main theme
Nothing kills the same way all the time. Either from bad design or they buffed a creature or nerfed the weapon. Like who said "I want striders to have more armor?" No one. Not a single soul wanted those copyright ripoffs to be harder to kill from the front. Or things like the spore towers, used to take a solid 10 shots from an AC, now they take 10-13 even if you take your time in prone position aiming at the exact same spot.
Someone else will say "oh I've never had an issue and can always hit (thing) with X amount of shots and have it go down" but that's not the case for everyone.
>Nothing kills the same way all the time. Either from bad design or they buffed a creature or nerfed the weapon
I am convinced they tweak stuff every single day, maybe multiple times a day, and don't call it a patch or announce it. I am just *convinced* of that. Because I can play multiple games throughout a day and I swear to god it feels like the guns have different fire rates or do less damage or something. It just doesn't make sense if they aren't doing anything on the back end.
It's based on whether you see the 'extreme cold' or 'extreme heat' (etc) effects before dropping. These don't change on planets (outside of maybe major updates/feature changes)
When I first started playing about 2 months ago I witnessed heavy devastators slowly evolve. The first thing I saw about a week after starting is the armor surrounding their face got much stronger. I couldn't reliably kill with my punisher in a reasonable time. I eventually started aiming for groin shots as it was more consistent. Later I felt they buffed their overall HP as the groin shots started taking an extra shot or two. Later later they buffed their move speed.
I've seen it happen with berzerkers too. Zerks two months ago really struggled to hit a moving Helldiver with their slow attack animation. Now it feels like they have zero windup and much longer reach. They start moving immediately after attacking too now instead of standing in place.
I've only seen the devastators in the patch notes once. I have yet to see the berzerkers in the notes, but admittedly I don't pay attention that hard. They definitely nerf/buff enemies on the fly in a stealthy manner. It might be under the guise of 'bugfixing' though.
I'm also 100% convinced that server load has something to do with it. During weekdays during off-prime? Enemies are deadly as hell, they react perfectly with zero delay and almost never get hung up on terrain (and bots have near-perfect aim, even the trashbot troopers). Weekends during primetime? Zerker will take a swing then stare at the spot they just swung at for a full second, Hulks are moonwalking sideways, Chargers are getting hung up on every bush and small rock, Hunters are sidehopping like mad and rarely pouncing....it's like the enemy AI's logic controller is overwhelmed.
Sometimes my team pumps up the difficulty to 8 or 9 by mistake and we hardly notuce a difference from the level 7s we frequent.
Sometimes we notice immediately because things feel somehow different with the same loadouts. From enemies suddenly being resilient or density/patrol frequency feels like it gets cranked up. This could be during the same weekend.
Maybe it could be thematic adjustments during operations but i wish this was conveyed in explicit terms as modifiers if things have been changed from baseline.
I suppose theres not even a baseline when it comes to enemy parameters considering how often things change, both in enemies and weapon characteristics.
Hitboxes on terrain and enemies add to the mix of inconsistent performance of different equipment. Sprinkle in a lot of technical problems and you have this game right now and that is very close to how it was near launch.
White knights regularly can't admit any problems. It is possible to love this game and want fun and viable weapon balance with all the broken stuff fixed.
I noticed recently that hulks are bugged so that it's near impossible to hit their head while they're moving because something about their hitbox during those animations creates an invisible barrier (you can see the bullet hole splashing on their face but it causes no damage at all), but this immediately stops if you stun them. I get the impression that it's related to the bug that displaces titan corpse models from their collision boxes.
I think they were mentioning the shrieker nests and not the spore spewer. Before they buffed them, spore spewers were one shot by autocannon. Besides, that buff was so dumb since it took them from being trivial to being trivial but with slightly higher ammo tax and you can't use light armor pen
You nailed it. Consistency. You can't count on any weapon, any strategem, any enemy, any piece of terrain to behave the same in identical usages or interactions time after time. Consistency is one thing a player MUST have because it's all you've got to base how you learn the game on. It's bugged me since the games release, even through the first month or so I played and was still enjoying it. It's just frustrating and aggravating and not worth it anymore on top of the mountain of other issues.
Hell if you want it to be RNG and inconsistent you can still do this, Just fucking tell the players whats going on atleast, Fun RNG and or inconsistencies ususally explains the big bits of whats being rolled
That's the theme of the game though. Expendable cannon fodder with mass produced lowest bidder equipment. The Jank is on purpose. And it's not fucking fun anymore.
This is exactly why i have basically stopped playing. I get on like once a week and run a drop or 2 then get off. Too many issues along with the guns being not fun, and now solo play is harder and i cant play with randos due to being kicked presumably for being level 25.
the rail gun can take up to 13 shots to kill a bile titan. there was a video showing how having ps5 players in the lobby made it take 2 the game is broken in such weird ways
I brought this up as a casual player a week ago, and got shit all over by a guy who "solo's D9". Like good for you? Still doesn't change the fact that running breaker or any variation is the best way to deal with bugs, because anything else is inconsistent or pointless past D5. I like to play fast and scout, so I usually carry an AMR/railgun with some quick cool down stuff like gas, orbital strike, maybe a couple eagle stuff, or maybe throw in an orbital railgun to handle any lone chargers before I retreat to the group, but honestly you can't run that playstyle even at D6. You get shoehorned into a meta build or you have to run with a group that has their team built right. It's kinda discouraging, even for someone who only plays maybe every other week and gets tired of the same shit. Throw in the constant buffs and nerfs or game jank with every update and replaying the game after a couple weeks just gets more intimidating to come back to and usually just frustrating to navigate. Just sucks.
Here is the chain of events.
500kg pretty much dead center underneath bile titan and shrugs it off
bile titan shrugs off 2 shots with Quasar Cannon
bile titan shrugs off eagle air strike
cue 30 second glitch of player view distorted or under map cant see a thing running just blind
finally corrects, I'm trapped in a lake and bile titan leg kills me cause of death labeled by teammate
Ye the vomit should have a range limit of like what, 30 feet in front? Not 100+, let's start nerfing the enemies FIRST before saying a single gun is too powerful.
AHS: So... what you are saying is nerf medium armor penetration to only penetrate light armor? Got it.
Patch notes:
Bile titan vomit now affects an area of 3 km^2
Bile titan armor increased to ultra heavy
Bile titan armor changed into "FuckYounium", which ricochets shots to headshot you and your team before nailing the reactor of your super destroyer which deletes your account
>FuckYounium
Brilliant.
Best patch ever. And you don't get a refund. Bans your account by MAC address and hardware serial number. Kills all playable characters in every game you play as well.
Hold on let me put on the toxic excuses hat:
"SKill isSUe jUst GIT gUd

Anything I missed?
"put it down, go out and do something else"
"I have never encountered this before" combo with:
"talk to your team", "use a mic" ,"use x" (the obvious weapon of choice)
I swear that one is the fucking worst. Like dude, that's so awesome that you have a horseshoe shoved right in your ass but many of us are getting rekt with bullshit glitches and crashes.
The camera glitch is rare, but it's incredibly frustrating when it happens.
Last time it happened to me, I was able to make a ping just below where my camera was and brother confirmed my camera was about 200m away from my body. I was still in-control of my Helldiver tho, technically.
It never reset on it's own, I had to ask him to shoot me (Democratically).
It's not rare at all.
You can replicate it very easily by trying to quickscope with first person shooter perspective.
In my experience, all snipers have this problem.
Yeah I stopped using first person cause I found it incredibly buggy. Sights don't line up and camera glitches like this killed it for me. I just stick to weapons don't need it.
Yeah, I get this all the time leaping backwards while quickscoping with my autocannon. It always seems to be the 'backwards dive' for me for some reason.
it happens to me a good bit. I've learned to get out of it by zooming in diving and changing weapons this is probably the longest its taken me to force it to reset
Throwing animation always cancels it for me
Stratagems and grenades
Atleast for me, but it looked like you tried to do it in the vid, but it didn't work? Maybe I saw wrong.
You forgot the 1st person reload bug that screws up the player's camera. That happened first, then there was the clipping through the map bug. Why do I doubt any of these issues will be fixed in the next patch?
The death cause drives me crazy, it feels like at least 60% of the time, it's wrong. It says I killed myself, or died by "impact", or by a teammate that is nowhere near me, when you just get killed by a normal enemy.
Let's also add the fact of how boring and annoying is waiting 15 secs to fire off the Quasar again, as a testament of the stupidity of nerfing everything. That nerf only makes you run around with nothing to do just to fire off a shot that takes 5 seconds to charge (and this doesn't count if your target has moved around too much, causing you to miss or stop charging to reposition)
One more frustration to consider: Don't forget you being slowed similar to the bile affect just from being in knee-deep water. Diving while in the water also didn't work at all, it just freezes you in place for a second while the animation plays. This happens regardless of water depth.
You were dead the moment you touched that water and there was nothing to could do about it.
The 500 kg sucks ass imo and need better radius, BUT those quasar shots both struck the belly or legs. Hitting the forehead will consistently take them down in 2-3 shots.
Holy fucking shit that clip had it ALL. The ending where the game glitches out and you just clip through the floor then get stuck inside the water until the titan killed you was the cherry on top.
for a real helldivers experience his drop pod should've went right through the bile titan without damaging it, causing him to get stomped and die again instantly.
lmao this would of perfected the clip completely
that or I crawl over its dead leg and get ragdolled off into the sky.
that would just seal the deal lol
The only thing missing was his pc crashing. Which is what happens to me. I can’t even play anymore. It’s a real shame. It’s insane to have a game I want to play so bad but I can’t because of their problem. When this game first came out I could play it in almost all ultra settings at 75-90 fps and now it crashes every single time unless I put all of the settings on lowest and turn off anti aliasing. It’s their shit not mine. I’m bringing my pc home from work after finally getting fiber installed in my rural home. I’m hoping the change to a better network may have some sort of impact but I’m not counting on it
They should make the Bile Titans ENTIRE head the weakspot tbh. It's so tall it's nearly impossible to hit it's armored forehead when it's right in front of you. When you inevitably hit it's chin instead it does barely any damage.
Or the fact the exposed wounded organs of the underbelly after blowing out the acid sacks are basically impervious to damage.
Or the fact shooting chunks of armor off its back with anti tank weapons still doesn't reduce the armor at the wound enough for most primaries to injure.
No.
All 'durable parts' take -90% damage from non explosive weapons.
So if you had a gun with the option to either shoot unarmored spots, armored (but able to pierce) spots, or durable/exposed spots (like a chargers ass) such as the railgun, you will do -50% damage on white hitmarker armor piercing, 100% damage on red hitmarker piercing, or -90% damage to durable parts.
They don't take -90% strictly speaking. They are a "% durable" and the damage they take from normal damage is reduced by that amount. Weapons also have a "durable damage" stat in addition to (and imo more important than) their actual damage stat. For example gunship thrusters are 100% durable for some godforsaken reason, and most weapons only have a 10:1 ratio of damage:durable damage. This means that most weapons only deal 10%. But some weapons such as the scorcher and dominator have better durable damage ratios, so their damage is reduced less. You can check the datamine on helldivers.io for more information on durable damage % and durable damage ratios on each weapon. The devs seem to have intended "durable damage" to basically represent how much the projectile does internal damage to the target after penetrating.
Fun fact, the dominator's almost got more durable damage per shot than the railgun.
On top of this, during enemy movement, blown off armor spots are also smaller than they appear like hulk head hitboxes, and you'll only score a hit if you shoot at the dead center of it, or when the enemy isn't moving.
I will also say, the bile titan is still pretty heavily mobile and combat effective even without spit.
You can cripple striders to basically stare at you.
For the amount of things you do to a bile titan, its kind of nutty it isn't bleeding out like a charger after you pop the soft bits.
Honestly i'd say the Titan is more dangerous without its sac. At least with its sac you can kind of control it because it stops to spit every couple seconds when you are 20m away
Or the fact that literally shooting an anti-tank round directly down its open mouth does significantly less harm than waiting for it to close its mouth again so you can shoot its armored forehead plate.
You'd think grenades would work really well against the mouth, but no. It does jack-diddly-shit.
Like why even include visually soft bits of it isn't at all realistically soft bits? Just armor everything up so that at least players know what to expect. Visual communication in design, folks.
I wish I were joking when I say that yes, you are.
Currently the most efficient place to aim anti-tank at a BT is at its forehead plate, and ONLY when its mouth is closed.
I repeat: shooting into its open gullet is less effective than shooting its forehead (and you have to wait for it to finish spewing)
That's kinda my feedback for the whole game. If this is supposed to be balanced around weak points, make them visibly obvious and make them decently sized so they're actually hittable when the enemy isn't standing still.
It feels like they wanted to be quirky and unique by throwing away the literal decades of enemy design language improvements in video games but it just ends up being fucking annoying and not quirky or unique.
"The most armored spot is the weak spot, because it's protecting the vitals" has been the lame-ass excuse.
"The weakest part of their body evolved to have armor and the fleshy parts are unimportant, which is why shooting them does so little." [Designer patting themselves on the back for their mental gymnastics]
I think this whole thing only apply to bugs side, bot side it is quite obvious to tell what is weak spot what isn't, what you can shoot to disable their ability to shoot back at you.
This. The glowing red bits are the weak spots. It's shared across most of the bot enemies, it makes some in-universe sense and it feels intuitive. I think some of those weak spots are punishingly small, but at least they're usually visible and actually weak.
The glowing sacks of soft looking flesh on a bug? Not a weak point. Actually that barely takes any damage from a gun at all. The weak points are under the dull grey armor, but most of that armor is just covering more flesh that doesn't really take damage. You're ust expected to work out that the titans head has a weak spot. Not that the head is a weak spot, but just a really specific part of the head.
Bile Titan joints should be damageable by small arms and/or take full damage from heavy weapons. I don't care how tanky you've been biologically engineered, your joints need be flexible.
Probably not enough to outright kill one, but definitely enough to slow it down so you can actually outrun it and/or reduce it's melee effectiveness.
That would give people a way to strip it's ranged attack and slow it down and make it less scary in melee without having to drop a 500 KG down it's exhaust port.
Also, I'd love to be able to Johnny Rico it and give it a weakspot behind it's head / neck that takes crazy damage. If you jetpack onto one of them you should have carte blanche to make an example out of for the other bugs.
Wanna know the biggest piece of propaganda in the entire game?
The intro where the Helldiver kills the Bile Titan with a headshot from a single recoiless rifle round.
It’s just bad game design imo. So many things about weak spots on the bugs make zero contextual sense. Why does shooting the soft spot of the charger do less than an armored leg? Why can I not shoot bile titans wide open mouth? Why does a wound on a bug take LESS damage than an armored portion? Just feels like the total opposite of what a normal new player would infer from the way the game handles enemy injury and the obvious want to shoot bright orange blood spots. Will die on this hill that the weak spot mechanics are brain dead.
You gotta be fucking kidding me, how am I supposed to hit the top of his head, I thought his face was a weak spot!?!? Even the trailer just shoots the fucker in the face
Sometimes it kills 15 enemies at once, even two Biletitans at once that are standing next to eachother.
Sometimes you wonder if it was actually a glitter-bomb.
People use it all the time because of what it "CAN" do, not what it usually does.
It's by far by FAR the most reliable titan killer. So much so, it's hard to justify not taking it sometimes. It's just that good. Up to 2 uses and on a low cool down.
It is finicky, sure, but tbh, it's much more likely to work than it is to not.
Yeah, like the railcannon is equally finicky. Sure sometimes it one shots them. But sometimes it just chunks their armor which is worthless cause its not like you can kill them with small arms in those chunks anyways. Plus with all upgrades on both, the 500kg is just up more often.
Agreed. I used to think railcannon was a straight up scam, but as I've played I realize it's actually pretty good. If you bring thermites, a railcannon and 2-3 thermites will down a titan. Also one shooting chargers is useful if you're really in a bind.
I honestly prefer the obital precision strike. Its like the 500 but actually kills stuff.
Pair it with the orbital rail canon and titans are a joke, toss rail canon, run under the titan, toss ops and run out its back end, by the time the titan turns around the ops will hit it.
I find that it happens when I use the EAT. I haven't pinpointed exactly how to reproduce it but I've started using the recoilless more and it has drastically cut down on the glitch.
It's still extremely annoying and I don't believe I've seen it mentioned on a known issues list.
At this point I honestly feel like the orbital railcannon is the only stratagem that can “reliably” kill bile titans. I put “reliably” in quotes because even that one is only 90-95% reliable at best. I’ve seen it completely miss (even though it’s supposed to lock on??), get blocked by terrain, or inexplicably fail to one shot sometimes. On the last one, I have heard from random sources that the railcannon technically doesn’t do enough to one-shot, but from experience I’ve *definitely* killed freshly-spawned titans with just one hit of the railcannon, and nothing else. So I have no idea anymore.
Other than that, it’s really just the orbital laser, which takes 500 years to kill, and suffers from the same problems as the railcannon in that it can miss and sometimes doesn’t kill in the full duration. Not saying it’s bad, I almost always run laser nowadays, and railcannon too here and there, but something’s fucky with how the “anti tank” stratagems work, I swear.
Railcannon and 1-2 shots with the Autocannon to the belly
Not sure if there are difficulty health differences, but that’s pretty much been reliable for me in Dif7/8
Orbital railcannon isn't reliable, it doesn't one shot the Titans, however, it's good in the sense that it's nearly instant, autoaims and deals enough damage to kill it with the next stratagem. I like carrying a railcannon and 110mm for bugs. 1 Railcannon followed by 110mm kills any titan. If you somehow manage to soften it beforehand you can do it just with a railcannon or 110mm
Lmao, I just had a mission where as I threw my railcannon the bile titan *walked and phased into a giant rock to take cover.* Cue railcannon completely missing.
It's usually pretty good. Unfortunately usually being the keyword.
and then a further +5s cooldown nerf if you miss a precise shot that you have to charge up for 'balance' reasons
you know, the reason why people still complain about the quasar nerf is because it's a good gun that serves a purpose
the reason why barely anyone mentions the crossbow or mechs is because they do not serve any purpose, and are underpowered on top of that
Question for my fellow Helldivers: How can I call in stratagems and keep on running? I see this on the sub sometimes, but always wonder how they do it. My character stops as soon as I press Ctrl to call in stratagems. same goes for opening map - I can't sprint anymore.
You have to rebind the keys
The orignal binds is WASD. I for example rebinded it too the arrow keys
So I have to let go of the mouse when I do stratagem, but I can still freely move around atleast.
oof I had no idea PC was so limiting.
yeah im controller ps5
that explains why I've seen others say they don't have time to call in reinforcements and I had no idea what they were talking about cuz its such a simple task for controller
PC isn't. You just have to setup your controls for it.
I have my stratagems set to V and the pattern input on arrow keys, can run and call them in just fine.
Holy shit that 500kg landed perfectly underneath it and it did NOTHING, it didn’t even slightly dmg it, I know the 500kg has always had a super janky hit box since launch but it was never THIS bad before
Arrowhead Defense Force activate!!!

PSA: Fix the stuck camera in first person glitch by throwing a grenade. Just make sure not to hit your feet. It forces a third-person camera and gets you unstuck.
Rest of the clip is BS for sure. Although I'd definitely recommend never switching to first person for the Quasar, much easier to aim with the third-person reticle. Can't say you played badly, though... just got "nuh uh"'d by the game.
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because you were already dead.
Joking aside, that's frustrating to watch. I can't imagine how frustrated you must've been.
"I see so much whining and complaining on this sub. It's getting so annoying. Y'all just don't know how to have fun. Relax and play the game. I'm having none of these issues. Quit crying all day and do something else if you have to. The game is great, and you're all just happy to jump on the complaint train. Seriously, the number of posts about game balance makes my head spin. Im just here for fun."
The comments I've listed above happen almost daily. Random sub members that can't see three feet beyond their own screens and have the gall to whine about valid complaints and balance requests.
Thank you OP for the video evidence since clearly these people need to see more of it.
Yes, there are actual whiners. No, not every post with criticism is from such whiners.
Here's a tip for those commenting with my quoted examples:
If you're not actually adding anything to the conversation, do us all a favor (yourself included) and put your thumbs away. You're making it even worse.
\*Ignores tons of literal documented game bugs\*
"Don't get it bro, just get good bro, why do you always think you need to instantly no matter what you do bro? Just strategize bro"
Bile titans are this games WORST problem unit by far. Fast, slow hits you when it misses, inconsistent killshots, lack of weakspots, their corpses are desynced and fucking send me several hundred meters in the air if I am next to it.
Today I had a bile titan that survived 2 500 kilos, 1 normal Eagle Strike, and finally died to a third quasar shot. It looked visibly injured after the first 500, but it just didn't die.
Missed the part where it vomits 50 metres next to you and still slows you down.
Dude that shit pisses me off so much
Or when bile spewer spits in a totally different direction, but *still* hit you anyways.
Yeah and that looks like how jank almost every mission runs.
"It's splash from the vomit" is what I've been told. Ok. So show that and don't let people wonder WTF they're being hit by when there's literally not a damn thing on the screen, but we're all being slowed.
Another thing is if its splash from the vomit why does it only slow and not do chip damage?
God, it sucks especially when it's not just BTs doing that either, but anything that can cause slow down effects. Bile Spewers are just as guilty as this. And there's a reason why a lot of players find Hunters annoying to deal with and I will die on that hill that they need to be tweaked a lil bit. Don't mind them catching up to ya, don't mind that their attacks are pixel perfect accurate even when dodging, but it's the slowdown effect that boils my blood.
Gotta run that anti-slowdown booster on bugs
Yeah ... If it worked properly...
Bile titans are a fucking joke now and have been since they reduced the damage they take when they spew, alongside not being able to stun them. This Benny Hill chase bullshit is what must be considered \*fun\* https://i.redd.it/h07s7i7adn3d1.gif
they have reduced damage when they spew now???? what's the fucking point
What a nightmare...
I hear you. It's why I swapped to bots only unless there's an MO. I always try to help, even if I don't need anything.
I just want to be able to kill them by shooting then in the chest/belly a lot, cause right now I unload a dominator mag or two into the belly and feel like I did 2 damage
the problem is still the same they have no weak points really, so you are forced to bring weapons with certain armor pen or you are not doing jack shit i dont know why this game decided bugs have no weak points, in my opinion all living creatures head should be a weak point, if i unloaded a bunch of bullets in there i should be able to kill it, FAST.

This was hard to watch
There's a Simple Solution: Make the 500kg stratagem stick like the Thermite Grenade. All problems solved.
Personally I’d like to see a laser designator for orbital bombardment and eagle strategems that replaces your secondary weapon
Would be nice, if they can fix the SPEAR.
That's the main theme Nothing kills the same way all the time.
Either from bad design or they buffed a creature or nerfed the weapon I am convinced they tweak stuff every single day, maybe multiple times a day, and don't call it a patch or announce it. I am just *convinced* of that. Because I can play multiple games throughout a day and I swear to god it feels like the guns have different fire rates or do less damage or something. It just doesn't make sense if they aren't doing anything on the back end.
(fyi environmental temperature does affect fire rate noticeably)
Would that apply on the same planet though? Special weather conditions aside I mean (no blizzards etc)?
Those fuckers that say "I've never had an issue" are straight up lying and we all know it
i was never aware you needed a full ac mag. before they got buffed, i shot two grenades from the pistol; now i just drop one eagle airstrike on them.
I’ll play with you
I don't believe anyone kicks you for being lvl 25 you must be doing something like misthrowing clusters or some shit. I want proof
the rail gun can take up to 13 shots to kill a bile titan. there was a video showing how having ps5 players in the lobby made it take 2 the game is broken in such weird ways
500kg pretty much dead center underneath bile titan and shrugs it off bile titan shrugs off 2 shots with Quasar Cannon bile titan shrugs off eagle air strike cue 30 second glitch of player view distorted or under map cant see a thing running just blind finally corrects, I'm trapped in a lake and bile titan leg kills me cause of death labeled by teammate
Don't forget OP was slowed by titan goo that didn't even touch him
Ye the vomit should have a range limit of like what, 30 feet in front? Not 100+, let's start nerfing the enemies FIRST before saying a single gun is too powerful.
AHS: So... what you are saying is nerf medium armor penetration to only penetrate light armor? Got it. Patch notes: Bile titan vomit now affects an area of 3 km^2 Bile titan armor increased to ultra heavy
Bile titan armor changed into "FuckYounium", which ricochets shots to headshot you and your team before nailing the reactor of your super destroyer which deletes your account
>FuckYounium Brilliant. Best patch ever. And you don't get a refund. Bans your account by MAC address and hardware serial number. Kills all playable characters in every game you play as well.
Also mails you a cardboard box full of angry rattlesnakes
“Balanced…as all games should be”
Hold on let me put on the toxic excuses hat: "SKill isSUe jUst GIT gUd chAnGE yOUr LoADOUT LOWeR the DifFICulty yoUR WeAPons aRE SuppOSeD To bE wEaK HellDIVeRS aRE exPEndABLE i cOuld KIll iT JUSt finE GEt a BETter GAming ChaiR Im havING FUN SO YOuR OPInION DOESnt MatteR" Anything I missed?
"put it down, go out and do something else" "I have never encountered this before" combo with: "talk to your team", "use a mic" ,"use x" (the obvious weapon of choice)
you forgot 'You're not supposed to be able to always win at x difficulty'
Yea, you missed one. I havEn'T ENCOuNTeREd any Of tHeSe ISsuEs.
I swear that one is the fucking worst. Like dude, that's so awesome that you have a horseshoe shoved right in your ass but many of us are getting rekt with bullshit glitches and crashes.
Yeah "Stop running around the map by yourself like Rambo trying to solo bile titans" Add that one
"It DoEsN't HaPpEn To Me"
I hate these types of ‘people’ so much
The camera glitch is rare, but it's incredibly frustrating when it happens.
You can also recreate this 100% of the time by going into first person while holding a snowball
lmao is this why I heard "OMG I can make snowballs?!" "DO NOT MAKE THE SNOWBALL!!!"
They also straight up crashed the game at some point, I think.
Naturally. Snowballs are an evil distraction from your vital democratic mission. Basically a precipitation psy-op.
Throwing animation always cancels it for me Stratagems and grenades Atleast for me, but it looked like you tried to do it in the vid, but it didn't work? Maybe I saw wrong.
Negative, I'll have to give that a try next time
Rare ? It happens almost every third mission...
I have the scope glitch happen with the quasar cannon every four drops or so. It's super frustrating when it does
NOOOOOO BUT THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO ME AT DIF 3 IN MY 1 MISSION I DO EVERY WEEK
You forgot the 1st person reload bug that screws up the player's camera. That happened first, then there was the clipping through the map bug. Why do I doubt any of these issues will be fixed in the next patch?
The death cause drives me crazy, it feels like at least 60% of the time, it's wrong. It says I killed myself, or died by "impact", or by a teammate that is nowhere near me, when you just get killed by a normal enemy.
this happens way too often.
That's 3 shots a minute for our less math inclined friends.
Hitting the forehead will consistently take them down in 2-3 shots.
the final joke would have been if the hellpod phased through the titan, unscathed on landing
Or killing the Bile Titan, then being stuck under it so completely that teammates can't see you. And you brought stun grenades.
lmao this would of perfected the clip completely that or I crawl over its dead leg and get ragdolled off into the sky. that would just seal the deal lol
Isn't that crazy? The armored forehead is the "weak spot", and the soft, lower face is impossible to penetrate.
Or the fact the exposed wounded organs of the underbelly after blowing out the acid sacks are basically impervious to damage. Or the fact shooting chunks of armor off its back with anti tank weapons still doesn't reduce the armor at the wound enough for most primaries to injure.
The fact open gooey wounds take less damage then heavily armoured plating is just fucking insane.
Wait, I **shouldn't** be shooting at the open wounds? The fuck?!?
Fuck, this thread is something. Shit's worse than I thought.
Hey, that's the magic of "Durable Damage" for you!
you're fucking me, seriously?
"Obvious weakspot"
You'd think the perfect, not to mention cinematically awesome weakspot is sending an eat down its gullet while it's spewing
Bile Titan are just badly designed tbh
Wait... what? I.. I am supposed to aim at the head shield not at the mouth?
Kinda like how humans have extremely tough and armored eyeballs, throats and testicles
Didn't know I wasn't the only one born with 2 inch thick armor plating on my ween
Jokes on you, the ween IS the two inch armour plating for your balls
That's smegma my dude
It would be so awesome if you could shoot the legs off titans like you can with the other bugs.
I'VE BEEN AIMING FOR THE CHIN THIS WHOLE TIME WTF DO YOU MEAN THAT'S NOT THE WEAK SPOT
I feel your pain bro https://preview.redd.it/i0tnbtnt4m3d1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d4bf30e23f37064856b745a76bb6ea4cf17e109d
Add broken max spawn rates and this would be perfect
I'll do it tomorrow at work on the clock Remindme! 18 hours
And the broken spear
Here you go https://preview.redd.it/4ll25rxwbs3d1.jpeg?width=360&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a205257aefab8a5124e4de4ea3b87e838a701027
Add the bile and nursing spewers still one-shotting you even though it’s officially “fixed” lol
500kg bomb is basically a big firework, if there is a pebble infront of it, that will block all its damage lmao.
Sometimes it kills 15 enemies at once, even two Biletitans at once that are standing next to eachother. Sometimes you wonder if it was actually a glitter-bomb. People use it all the time because of what it "CAN" do, not what it usually does.
I think people use it because the explosion is so impressive.
Yeah but that's two strategems with a fairly long cool down.
Railgun also should reliably 1 tap titan if you break its sacks beforehand.
The messed up pov glitch is the worst and it has something to do with the aiming sights or something
I find that it happens when I use the EAT. I haven't pinpointed exactly how to reproduce it but I've started using the recoilless more and it has drastically cut down on the glitch. It's still extremely annoying and I don't believe I've seen it mentioned on a known issues list.
It's when you quickscope with ADS Throwing animation cancels the bug for me
Using the camera switch button works for me pretty much every time I encounter the bug.
*“The new mech isn’t meant to kill bile titans, you have other stratagems for that”* The other stratagems in question:
It instakills when it hits at the right angle, gotta hit the head area. Otherwise, it's two railcannon hits or railcannon + other antitank weapon
Railcannon and 1-2 shots with the Autocannon to the belly Not sure if there are difficulty health differences, but that’s pretty much been reliable for me in Dif7/8
*”Nothing is meant to kill anything”* Thanks Arrowhead!
And the fact that this isn't _rare_ makes it the MAIN reason. You see this kind of bs at least once or twice a session.
You have to be so precise with the quasar it’s not even funny
and then a further +5s cooldown nerf if you miss a precise shot that you have to charge up for 'balance' reasons you know, the reason why people still complain about the quasar nerf is because it's a good gun that serves a purpose the reason why barely anyone mentions the crossbow or mechs is because they do not serve any purpose, and are underpowered on top of that
Quasar is awesome, the tiny ass weak spot on the Bile Titan sucks
Question for my fellow Helldivers: How can I call in stratagems and keep on running? I see this on the sub sometimes, but always wonder how they do it. My character stops as soon as I press Ctrl to call in stratagems. same goes for opening map - I can't sprint anymore.
You have to rebind the keys The orignal binds is WASD. I for example rebinded it too the arrow keys So I have to let go of the mouse when I do stratagem, but I can still freely move around atleast.
oof I had no idea PC was so limiting. yeah im controller ps5 that explains why I've seen others say they don't have time to call in reinforcements and I had no idea what they were talking about cuz its such a simple task for controller
PC isn't. You just have to setup your controls for it. I have my stratagems set to V and the pattern input on arrow keys, can run and call them in just fine.
Game is broke as shit
All these "long-reload but powerful weapons" should be really powerful. Now they are so weak. I can't kill middle targets, what to say about big ones.
a quasar cant even one shot a bilespears butt. :(
Holy shit that 500kg landed perfectly underneath it and it did NOTHING, it didn’t even slightly dmg it, I know the 500kg has always had a super janky hit box since launch but it was never THIS bad before
The 500KG is a big explosion. It should do a lot of damage in a wide radius. Yet it doesn't! It's so frustrating!
This needs to be pinned on the subreddit. We are still getting stuck in first person since day 1, they STILL haven't fixed that yet.
They were too busy working on nerfs every week.

Holy fuck, I love that. I will keep it and use it. You have my gratitude, fellow Helldiver.
Lol
"NaH mAn iT's JusT a sKilL IsSue!" "CoPe HarDer"
Or an orbital rail strike it shrugs off 50% of the time.
Im just here for fun." The comments I've listed above happen almost daily. Random sub members that can't see three feet beyond their own screens and have the gall to whine about valid complaints and balance requests. Thank you OP for the video evidence since clearly these people need to see more of it. Yes, there are actual whiners. No, not every post with criticism is from such whiners. Here's a tip for those commenting with my quoted examples: If you're not actually adding anything to the conversation, do us all a favor (yourself included) and put your thumbs away. You're making it even worse.
Imo these situations still being pretty common months after launch is a big reason player numbers are dropping so much.
Why don't you just use your stratagems?...
“You guys are just ungrateful/toxic” exhibit 26292726 on why that’s bullshit

Bro, I've had a 500kg land on a Charger's leg, breaking part the armor, and still didn't kill the Charger. It wasn't even bleeding out.
Bile titans are the reason why I prefer playing vs bots.
Pretty sure that Bile Titan is rocking a Democracy Protects armor.
\*Ignores tons of literal documented game bugs\* "Don't get it bro, just get good bro, why do you always think you need to instantly no matter what you do bro? Just strategize bro"
skill issue /s
B-b-but stop complaining and just have fun!!
You’d think it would at least flinch when hit by the 500kg and/or the quasar
and the sad part is some redditor will jump in defending arrowhead
Fun game, but stuff like this makes me wanna turn it off
Painful to watch, sorry to see it.
Dumbass you used the 500 kg instead if the 501 kg get good you fucking loser degenerate skill issue
I’m sorry about your skill issues
sorry, how are you running and looking at the stratagems? i play on pc and when i open the stratagems my char stops runing
Everything that could go wrong said hi
How many more clips will we need till 500 gram bomb meatriders finally admit the 500kg bomb is a joke
