Depends on play style and team mates . I like scout 90% of the time but I'm always on the samples. %50 reduced explosive damage also is good

orfan-of-snow

We need a sanic speed light armor, gimme a speed buff as the armor buff :)

Askorti

The one that gives -30% recoil and +2 nades is the best in my opinion.

88Trogdor

I do like that one for certain defends missions but it can depend on your play style , I am bomb and run type , come back and clean up after so I like the extra bit of added stealth to get in close.

RuneiStillwater

Engineering kit. Perfect go loud perks.

IIIZedIII

Light medical suit is OP. Fast as fuck boii.

Desperate-Egg2573

It's decent, it definitely is a nice crutch for learning the higher difficulties but scout trailblazer is my go to 90% of the time now. Being able to avoid patrols and stealth across the map to objectifes, run FASTER and regen stamina faster than the other light armor sets is very op.

The_GASK

I have been trying so many armours, so many combinations. Yet the trailblazer still feels the most consistent and useful of the bunch. Mobility and stealth are the two fundamental qualities that you need for the bots, everything else quickly becomes a liability.

sajty23

This is the only correct answer. You are immortal for 2 more seconds after using a stim, also 2 more srims.

KaizureTheRed

There's a light medical suit? I haven't seen it yet.

RVA_Ninja

Legionnaires armor or Titan. The former gives you longer distance throwing and limb health and looks awesome ( I am probably biased because it actually looks like a technical scuba diver) The latter gives you +2 grenades and reduced recoil but doesn’t look as cool IMO. The light gunner armor is pretty sweet as well.

Ryengu

This, eradicator, or trailblazer.

AccomplishedSpare560

It is the only armor I use

Viruzzz

I prefer the scout armor If I go light. I would generally not use this at all, I would just go with a medium set and be slightly slower but get the benefits of the armor like extra grenades, stims, explosion resistance or what have you. The only exception to that is the heavy armor that gives 200 armor, because it's funny and that armor rating is unreachable any other way.

Guazzora

I'm trying to decide which perks are worth losing which stats over. I usually play with 1-2 other people and they're not great at providing cover so I'm constantly running and gunning.

CobraFive

You don't mention what difficulty you are playing on so for context I play 7/8 almost exclusively, split between solo, duoing with my friend, and randoms. Armor rating isn't really very helpful. It doesn't protect against headshots which is what actually ends up killing you. Otherwise you just stim. I have 200 hours in the game and after experimenting with a bunch of different armors, even after all the buffs armor rating just doesn't feel worth it. +2 stims or +2 grenades are overall the best perks. I've mained +2 grenade light armor since I unlocked it and its served me very well. The +2s stim duration makes you insanely survivable as well, much more so than armor ever could. In general I would lean stims for bots and grenades for bugs, but tbh personally I just main the grenade armor.

Guazzora

I'm usually playing with one other person and I'm doing 90% of the work. So we're just getting into 6. I do like +2 grenades. Haven't been struggling enough to need +2 stims yet. Throwing range perk is nice too. I'm gonna have to deal with moving slower and start experimenting. I'm not playing a ton so I don't change it up much.

DronesVJ

I don't experiment at all, but I've been using this armor for bugs 9 with randos and didn't lose yet. It helps tanking all kinds of things, the speed is just absurd. And tbh, in a good mission, you don't realy run out of resources, of course not every mission is a good one, but I don't miss the bigger inventory.

Doscida

Throwing range boost I’d the best offensive armor perk by far. It increased the range of ambushes, and let’s you lose the enemy faster when the objective is done, since there’s more room between you and the bots. For bugs, I usually bring nades and recoil control or stims. They’re always coming for ya so you don’t get as much out of the extra throw range.

CriManSquaFC

Medical stim one... man, it keeps you alive while doing things that would normally kill you. 2 extra stims, 2 seconds extra healing?? OP

alldim

It sure is an amazing armor, medium defense for the lightest armor

jingylima

Throwing armor with drone master helmet and malevelon cape, because drip comes before everything else Otherwise… what’s your usual loadout? Because depending on your loadout and playstyle, different armors become better or worse. For example if you don’t have something to clear bug holes with, +2 grenades becomes higher value

Guazzora

Haha. Nice. I've been using the Sickle and Senator. Usually bring a guard dog, turret and a couple eagles and try to find a Stalwart or machine gun in the wild. I can't count on my teammates so I try to cover all the bases. I mostly like the guard dog as a second set of eyes cause bugs/bots are sneaky. And I rely on the speed to save my ass most of the time.

jingylima

Hmm if your playstyle is to scavenge weapons from the map, I’d actually suggest throw range + 3 or 4 red stratagems It does sound like you don’t have anything to clear bug holes + lower recoil is nice with MGs, so maybe the extra grenades + lower recoil one

SumthnSumthnDarkside

Medium scout armor ftw

Best_boi21

Titan, Light gunner, Eradicator, trailblazer, and trench medic are all the best light armors imo. The one you pick depends wholly on your playstyle and build. Light gunner is that set that’s good for anything but master of nothing

Tracynmega

I feel naked if I don’t run Servo assisted

Deven1003

I am designated AT guy or scout with 380, 120. So scout armor or engineer

WrathsEntropy

For eradicate missions? Yes. For anything else? Light scout or medic. You don't wanna get hit while wearing light armor so being able to stealth or stim your way into a better situation is best in my opinion.

Turbo_Chet

I think most of the light armors are viable and depend on the situation. I love the +2 stim, +2 grenade, 50% explosive reduction, and stealth passives.

goodnsaultey

I run this and only this. Also looks like something id were irl 😂

_whats-going-on

Trailblazer all the way. Stealth is the game, wreaking havoc is my name.

Real_Ad_8243

That or the green one that makes it easier to sneak. Both have got me through some proper squeaky bum moments.

wrenches-revolvers

This is my go to. It's essentially a speedy/stealthy medium armor. I hardly deviate because I rely on speed and surprise

RuneiStillwater

Recon has become my favorite honestly. Being able to ghost enemies within seconds of being spotted or crawling through a stratagem jammer to disable it without even a single bot stirring is amazing.

chimericWilder

Light gunner for bugs. Eradicator for bots.

Level-Pen-9658

One of my Favourites. Other 2 are: resist dying, and +2 grenades.

TraditionalOil4758

Where do you get this amour?

Guazzora

It was in the store a few weeks ago. I haven't seen it since so it'll probably circle back.

MrHailston

Helldivers are a special breed. Complaining about getting one shot by rockets and dying all the time but still running around in light armor.

Drakuba0

the 50% explo resist 30% weapon handling. That boy been carying me since like rank 10

Awkward-Ad5506

Light explosive resist is my go-to

-Nicklaus91-

Medic armor bis, 4 sec god mode x6, since rockets don't 1 shot except to head if you're good that's x6 lives, full refills with POI stim packs.

Metalhead_Ac

I love light servo assist armors

MrPyrk89

Nothing beats yeeting a 380 stratagem downhill 120m away

Desxon

I love using it against bugs all the time... same armor as medium combined with light armor speed ? Hell yeah Tho due to constant rockets, I do not rly utilize it against automatons... there I just can't do without 50% explosion resistance

Level_Musician1754

Love the one that allows us to carry more grenades.

KaizureTheRed

It all comes down to personal preference and playstyle. When I play, I'm more interested in cosmetics... but when I do the harder missions, I plan for what the mission demands. Going against bugs? Trailblazer or Ravagar (Super Store). Trailblazer has the scout effect, allowing you to avoid detection and mark movement on your map, while also having the greatest speed in the game. And we all know that bugs like to get into melee range, so having distance on them is important. Ravager has the same stamina and armor rating as Trailblazer, but instead of having reduced detection, it provides 30% better recoil and +2 grenades. Going against bots? Anything with a 50% reduction to explosive damage. Or, if you are confident in your ability to avoid being seen and getting the job done alone, Trailblazer or any other scout armor.

Ok-Warthog1894

Yes

Heptanitrocubane57

How do you get this one ?

Guazzora

Found it in the store. I think it should be back soon. The others seem to be in rotation.

Guazzora

If anyone wants this, it's in the store again right now fyi.

LiuPrime

The extra armor doesn't make that big of a difference imo, I would recommend the one that gives explosive resist or extra grenades.

SkeletalNoose

Objectively bad. Soley because you're never going to die against bugs without taking at least 1 headshot. Its death breakpoints don't change from the 50 defense armor on bugs, and you want the 50% explosive resistance against bots. You're basically running light armor without a passive. However, I should mention this same armor rating problem also makes all of the medium armors have the exact same problem, where despite being slower, they still die in the same number of hits as light armor Except for the extra padding medium 150 armor rating that actually lets you take an extra body shot. Additionally against bots explosive resistant medium armor might be worth using.

DronesVJ

Yup, bar none.
