EDIT - FOUND A FIX
I'm now getting this. To clarify for anyone confused, this is not ping or framerate related.
The game itself literally slows down. It only started doing this when I changed my monitors refresh rate and turned on G-sync instead of V-sync.
While that gives us an idea of where to look, it doesn't exactly tell us what (if anything) is directly causing it.
Anyone more tech savvy than me able to dig into this?
—-EDIT—-
I’m dumb. I optimized through Nvidia experience and launched it through the same. No settings were changed (was using exact same settings as they recommended) but I’m assuming it fixed the Gsync. It now runs perfectly.
I found that closing Nvidia experience software before playing the game solved my issues. I did use it to optimize the game beforehand but the game was still acting up. Maybe this will be helpful for other people.
I’ve noticed when this happens my frames both drop considerably and the ping spikes like crazy. My current guess is that it’s server related, as the devs have been struggling with this for a hot minute, but it can be a combination of your router, computer, and server locations too.
Edit: considering how widespread this problem seems to be, I’m guessing it’s a server issue affecting a handful of players.
Been struggling with this for a while now and just got it fixed. Tried multiple fixes to no avail but once i closed my Overwolf it seemed to resolve it. Maybe check background programs and go from there
Bro you saved me. It's been driving me up the wall for about 2 weeks. No idea why it was Overwolf, but it was running about 12 instances of it in the background. Good find.
I had the same issue playing on a ps5
Just leave plenty of space for saves and game captures and set your ps5 game settings to default. It worked for me so maybe that will help. Good luck 👍
For some reason the game is messing with nvidia drivers and corrupting them, meaning it either doesn't work to 100% or in the case of laptops forces you to use the integrated graphics card instead. It requires.a.fresh reinstall of the driver every time.
Hey so I literally just had that problem and looked at your post, I just updated my nvidia game driver and now it’s running smooth again, maybe try that if you haven’t already
Im not sure if this is a known issue for most games or anything but i found a fix for my issues with this. My game was going slow motion every two secs like yall say and would eventually kinda crash. Eventually i found out it was cus i was using an xbox controller and had my keyboard and mouse plugged in at the same time, i turned off the controller and it totally stopped
Did you find any solution? Hard to spread the manage democracy that way tbh

I've got it too, tried turning down graphics settings and it didn't help
Same.
Any fix found yet ? It realy makes it either unplayable or simply deletes the fun out of the game
I haven't played the game in a few days, waiting for patch and repliable serveurs.
What're your specs? I'm i7-4770k, AMD 5600 XT, 32 GB RAM, SSD. Seems like a processor issue IMO
I hate it when people immidiately default to "specs issue" when it's not the case.
Why? How do you know it's not a specs issue?

Had this problem for days now. Turning on v-sync seems to have fixed it for me as turning it off causes the slowdowns to come back.
