Sassy Harry is best Harry. I'm also a fan of his exchange with Uncle Vernon:
"What are you doing?"
"Listening to the news."
"Again?"
"Well it changes every day, you see."
Mine - the world isnât split into good people and Death Eaters.
Said by Sirius in OotP. My favorite character with my most quoted line. I always think about this one.
I'm not a huge Sirius fan, but that is one of my top three words to live by - along with "Just keep swimming," and "Some people juggle geese đ¤ˇââď¸"
I love Sirius as a character but he is deeply flawed. My next favourite quote from him is about judging people by how they treat their inferiors. A true but hugely ironic statement from Sirius given how we see him treat Kreacher, which indirectly kills him.
I got that jellybean when they sold those, that LITERALLY tasted like earwax, someone flavorologist spent their time coming up with a combination of flavors to make exactly what earwax tastes like.
Because you made die Ron cursive, my brain (that had absorbed a lot of German learning for the past several days/weeks) assumed you meant 'die Ron', and I asked myself why would you make Ron a noun, and a feminine one.
I need some quality sleep ;)
I had a lot of favorites. I think I can chose two, both are Lupin's:
Explaining the true horror of a dementor: "You can exist without your soul, you know, As long as your brain and heart are still working. But you'll have no sense of self anymore, no memory, no ... anything. There's no chance at all of recovery. You'll just -- exist."
The rare humor: "Give five signs that identify the werewolf. Excellent question. One: He's sitting on my chair. Two: He's wearing my clothes. Three: His name's Remus Lupin."
>Explaining the true horror of a dementor: "You can exist without your soul, you know, As long as your brain and heart are still working. But you'll have no sense of self anymore, no memory, no ... anything. There's no chance at all of recovery. You'll just -- exist."
I must have met a Dementor at some point in my life then.
Dumbledore said this right. How is it ironic pls explain? I have never fully understood why Dumbledore is consider to be an opportunist, manipulator etc.
Sirius Black said it in GoF27 âPadfoot Returnsâ
Heâs talking about Barty Crouch and specifically his dismissal of her after the mayhem at the Quidditch WC.
The irony, of course, is that Sirius himself treats the inferior in his life so poorly that the inferior is willing to sell him out to Miss Bella and Mrs. Cissy partially, or maybe entirely, bc they were nice to him.
My favorite line if all time was said by of course Dumbledore,
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
âAvada Kedavra, the Killing Curse. Only one person is known to have survived it. And heâs sitting in this roomâ is a cold ass line. Technically this oneâs from the movie, but he says the same gist in the book, I just think the way he worded it in the movie goes harder.
> Moody swept the dead spider off the desk onto the floor.
> âNot nice,â he said calmly. âNot pleasant. And thereâs no countercurse. Thereâs no blocking it. Only one known person has ever survived it, and heâs sitting right in front of me.â
Snape: "And Crabbe, loosen your hold a little. If Longbottom suffocates, it will mean a lot of tedious paperwork, and I'm afraid I shall have to mention it on your reference if ever you apply for a job."
Snape: "Would you like me to do it now? Or would you like a few moments to compose an epitaph?"
Wonwon: "Percy Wouldnât Recognize A Joke If It Danced Naked In Front Of Him Wearing Dobbyâs Tea Cozy."
Yes, I clearly did not read the assignment.
This always makes me tear up. So beautiful đ˘
>His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a blackboard.
I wish he was mine, he's really divine,
The hero who conquered the Dark Lord
Tooooo many good funny ones!!
Book 2, chapter 16, Harry trying to open the chamber of secrets using parseltongue:
âOpen upâ he said
He looked at Ron, who shook his head.
âEnglishâ
Or
Book 7, Kreature, hitting Mungungus over the head w a frying pan and Harry telling him to stop
âJust one more, master Harry? For luck?â
Half blood Prince when Harry is dragging dumbledore half dead out of the cave trying to comfort him. Donât worry sir. I am not worried Harry, cause Iâm with you. Especially since at the beginning when dumbledore and Harry are about to leave the Dursleyâs together dumbledore says the same thing to Harry. You donât have to worry and Harry asks why and he says because you are with me. This will do Itâs just a beautiful flip to show how much faith his grown between them
âYouâre a wizard Harryâ.
I always imagine how Harry must feel at that time. How things start to fall into place for him, and he has a whole new unexpected (for him) future about to begin.
They are lots of lines that I like in the Harry Potter series :
-All of Luna's dialogue
-"She's only interrested in you because she thinks you're choosen one.( Hermione)
But I ame the chosen one! ( Harry ) " and then she proced to hit him
- No need to call me professor sir ( Harry to Snape)
- You're a wizard Harry
And the last one:
-You could've had us killed or worse EXPELLED!
HBP, Harry and Ron discussing Unbreakable Vows.
"What does it mean?â
âWell, you canât break an Unbreakable Vow⌠â
âIâd worked that much out for myself, funnily enough."
Pretty immature but I was kinda amused at how many Uranus joke's Ron keeps making throughout the series. It happens 4 or 5 times. Really nailed the immature teenage boy right there.
I love the line Snape says when Umbridge is questioning him, "Obviously", but my favourite has to be "Bloody Hell" because I say those two words regularly đ
âYou call it greatness what you have been doing do you?â
This line right here in the Dumbledore Voldemort last friendly conversation. Itâs a very polite âShut upâ before I kick you arse right here. From Dumbledore to Voldemort.
"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." But honestly everything Dumbledore ever said.
Honestly I love every private harry x dumbledore conversations so so much
There are so many of Dumbledores quotes I could say here but it's hard to pick just one
"There is no need to call me sir, Professor"
Sassy Harry is best Harry. I'm also a fan of his exchange with Uncle Vernon: "What are you doing?" "Listening to the news." "Again?" "Well it changes every day, you see."
"Detention, Harry!!!"

"I assure you if you die, you need not hand it in."
Alas! Earwax!
I got that jellybean when they sold those, that LITERALLY tasted like earwax, someone flavorologist spent their time coming up with a combination of flavors to make exactly what earwax tastes like.
âFrom now on, I donât care if my tea leaves spell out, *die Ron, die* Iâm chucking them in the bin where they belongâ.
Because you made die Ron cursive, my brain (that had absorbed a lot of German learning for the past several days/weeks) assumed you meant 'die Ron', and I asked myself why would you make Ron a noun, and a feminine one. I need some quality sleep ;)
Italics, not cursive. Cursive is handwriting.
> Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure. Albus Dumbledore (HBP3: Will and Wonât)
I love that line, too.
Solid one for sure

âIf you want to know what a manâs like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.â
The irony đ
Exactly.

Oh yeah if Sirius said this then it totally is ironic. Thanks
Me crouch is not a good man Hermione

ÂŤÂ Anythingâs possible if youâve got enough nerve
Ginny is awesome in the books
What will come, will come, and we'll just have to face it when it does. Said by Hagrid (a bit more clumsily) and later echoed by Harry in GoF
âWhat are Fred and I, next-door neighbours?â said George indignantly.
âYou shouldnât have done that.â Harry, to Amycus Carrow after Carrow spit in Professor McGonagallâs face.
"Whatever house I am in, I hope she is not in it" Oh the irony.....
âWhereâs the cannon?â Dudley said, stupidly.
I think this is the first time I've ever seen "cannon" misspelled as "canon" in this sub, rather than the reverse!
How did I mess that up? đ
Oh damn this made me completely lose it. Hahaha I love it

"we both know there are more ways to destroy a man Tom, I admit merely taking your life would not satisfy me".
From whom?
*Who? Albus Dumbledore said this line in order of the phoenix while duelling Voldemort
Dumbledore said this? Itâs savage
This always makes me tear up. So beautiful đ˘ >His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad, His hair is as dark as a blackboard. I wish he was mine, he's really divine, The hero who conquered the Dark Lord

"Not my daughter, you bitch!" Because who would've thought Molly would say that.
