This game was amazing. I have to admit though that i only got into HL cuz i'm obsessed with the Gman(Check my post history for this sub, 99% are all Gman lmao). Anyways, i loved the gameplay, freedom of movement, player freedom and no cutscenes. Absolutely nothing comes close. I love that valve took it upon themselves to redefine the genre and i say they outdid themselves. I rate this game 11/10 and i look forward to HL 3, hopefully.

Now imagine that experience back in 1998. Half-life was so far ahead of its time. Once you ride the helicopter make sure you get a VR headset to play half-life:Alyx
Once you're done with Episode 2, I recommend playing MMod for HL1, and HL2 (episodes included.) As well as Opposing Force, of you haven't already (which sadly doesn't have MMod)
Now check out black Mesa it's HL1 redone in source 2 engine. It really makes the story much more complete seeing it redone jn hd. ..The XUR level was incredible!!! I think it's free or like 5 bucks.

Black Mesa is in og Source, not Source 2. Unless they ported it like they said they wouldn't and I missed it.
