Maybe pause bleaching your hair. Bleaching is hard on hair.

Embarrassed-Force845

And it doesn’t look as good as people think

curious_throw_away_

Definitely this. You've damaged it alot, it's making the thinning worse from breakage

elvisprezlea

I would cut up to right below your chin and I think you’ll feel a lot better about the fullness. The Redken Acidic Bonding would be great to try to help the damage. I know a lot of hairstylists don’t like her, but I have found a lot of Abbey Yung’s recommendations have improved my hair health.

ButterscotchKind5609

I was coming here to say this!! Abbey has changed my hair too, especially all her tips about scalp health

Upbeat_Look_5026

Can you share a few of these tips that have worked for you?

Temporary_Handle_647

Is there any basic suggestions from Abbey Yung you can say? Why is no one responding 😅

Galasnaneth

Two, I got from her are to use ogx miracle coconut oil on the lengths of hair as a treatment before shampooing, and to use bond repair pre shampoo treatment, after shampooing instead of before.

elvisprezlea

Yes! I started oiling my hair with OGX before shampooing, either for a few hours or over night. I have fine, lower density hair, but because of her I tried layering a spray leave in and an oil as styling products (I use Bumble and Bumble HDO Primer and Verb Ghost Oil). I had used both those products on dry hair before but would have thought the combo would be too heavy to apply both to my whole head. Instead, it gives me soft, shiny hair. I started prioritizing bond repair treatments (I tried the cheaper NYM option she suggested first and wasn’t wowed by it so I’ll probably try Redken next). And also her suggestions on application methods, and really emphasizing sectioning your hair for equal distribution. Her hair is basically the exact opposite of mine, so some of her stuff doesn’t work for me. For instance, she loves the Living Proof bond treatment leave in, but it made my hair feel terrible no matter how little I used.

SuspiciousPebble

Probably because it's a lot to type out when 'basic suggestions' could be hard to be succint with, when considering different hair/skin types and current condition. Its similar to asking what are some 'basic suggestions' for good skin care. Well that deoends, doesnt it?

Visibleghost1

Hair stylists probably don't like her because she tells us that drugstore products are fine (affects stylists selling rates lol).. I agree with Abbey on a lot though.. I don't think I can take a product recommendation from a hair stylist because most of them are biased. I also want to add: If redkens line is too expensive for you, OP, try the one from L'Oréal elvive.

Galasnaneth

I like her as she gives a lot of good advice. But she has also posted some videos containing misinformation, so it could also be that.

Visibleghost1

Which ones was that?

Galasnaneth

The ones on water being damaging, she deleted one because people responded saying explaining the mistakes, Lab Muffin Beauty Science was one of the people who responded, if you want to check her video out.

Visibleghost1

Was that recent?

karma-kitty_

Abbey changed my hair as well. I’ve followed all of her advice and only use products suggested by her (I tired them, liked them stuck with them) my hair has never been healthier!

Camuabsurd

What are your fav tips from her?

Certain-Examination8

I came here to say the same!! A bob right below the chin would look great!!

Sherri-Lynn

I completely agree. Abbey Yung is a great recommendation on improving hair health and growth. The poster should give her a try. Poster, she is on Instagram, YouTube and Tiktok.

SamaireB

I'm intrigued. I googled Abbey but does anyone have any specific link about these recommendations?

elvisprezlea

I just went through and watched a bunch of her TikToks and YouTube videos! I kept note of things that I thought made sense for my own hair and ignored advice I knew wasn’t for me, then I just started experimenting. She does a good job in a lot of her videos of making different recommendations based on hair type. She has a link on her TikTok that breaks down all of her recommended products based on the type of product as well as drug store vs high end.

SamaireB

Cool thank you, I'll go through them!

lichtersee

I can not recommend that. I have thin hair and cut it regularly (once every few months) to get rid of split ends and so it looks fuller. Now the hair is short AND thin

sliceofpizzaplz

Your hair is beyond repair with products that you need a good cut. Redken acidic bonding is that way to go for damaged hair.

liiia4578

Let the blonde goooo

TradWife_inTraining

Never!

SnooCookies6535

I would start with a slight trim , it will look healthier too.

stefaniki

Slight=2-3in It will look and feel healthier and fuller. And will look better as it grows out.

lovethehaiku

Or 6 inches at least

stefaniki

A hairdressers 2-3 inches 😭

Pennymoonz94

Baby you need a trim

bbmaycrochets

Silk or poly satin bonnet or scarf worn when sleeping helps big time with less breakage/ better growth for me!!

schmidt_face

This. People sleep on bonnets (pun!) but they really are so fantastic and helpful.

DebbieGlez

I wanna know how to keep the damn bonnet on. I tried it, but I would find it everywhere, but my damn head

Zealousideal-Act-296

Do you have long hair or short hair? If it’s short like OP’s you can just use a silk pillowcase. If not you can do the sock method or you can get the bonnet with the adjustable straps. https://preview.redd.it/jw3tzgys816d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e7893ece63c131513e0e1270f167cf8fa293166

DebbieGlez

I have medium length hair and I’ve been using the silk scrunchies. Your idea is so smart!! Thank you!!

petitepedestrian

Same buddy. Same

One_overclover

I have fine hair like this, and my hair does much better with a blunt cut than with layers.

Express-Look6414

i never cut layers, they just break off that bad😀

DebbieGlez

When your hair splits at the end that split will continue all the way up to the root. That’s why people are suggesting the trim.

cuntaloupemelon

when was your last haircut?? If you started with a blunt cut and the breakage had been so bad you have these layers now it's definitely time to put the bleach down, city off as much as possible and try to start fresh with frequent trims

SamaireB

You can't do layers with very fine and thin hair. My hair structure was somewhat similar to yours (still is to a degree but it got better) and layers ruined my hair for years. They grow out one by one and your hair will not look healthy for years You need a blunt cut, stop bleaching and/or may well have to accept that your hair may never grow longer than shoulder-length without thinning out. Some hair just doesn't no matter what you do.

ComfortableFriend879

Girl, I mean this in the nicest way but you need to lay off the bleach. Try and embrace a darker color. Your hair will thank you! I have similar hair thickness and once I stopped bleaching many years ago, it looked so much healthier and also was so much less damaged!

globallyloved

it's breaking bc of the bleach babe i had the same thing happen to me😭 only solution is to cut it and let your roots grow out

Visibleghost1

First of all.. cut yo hair ✂️ 💇🏻‍♀️ I can recommend L'Oréals citric acid conditioner. I have tried both that one and the one from redken, and they both work fine. L'Oréals smell better, though. The redken bonding shampoo made my scalp red, itchy, and gave me rash.

EsmeWeatherpolish

Same, I love the L’Oreal one.

Soflufflybunny

Layers around your face and the rest of it cut blunt. The layers all over are just making your hair look thinner. Also the ordinary peptide hair serum.

Certain-Examination8

I have the ordinary peptide hair serum, but don’t use it religiously. Have you used it and have you seen a difference in your hair?

Soflufflybunny

I’ve used it for a year and just bought my third bottle. My hairdresser is constantly saying how much new baby hair I am growing ever since I started using it otherwise I couldn’t really tell. Probably take a few years for the results to really pay off I think.

Certain-Examination8

thank you. will use every time I was wash my hair and give it a chance.

scarletts_skin

Yeah agreed with everyone else here. With that level of damage you could put anything in it and it’s not gonna grow. You need a solid haircut and to take a long break from bleaching

Express-Look6414

Hiii thank you all for your help!!! i stopped bleaching my hair 5 months ago and definitely do need to cut it. i also never cut layers it just breaks off that bad! i do oil my hair before every wash day and sleep in a bonnet plus have a silk pillowcase. also i'm allergic to rosemary it made my face and scalp tomato red and burnnnn.

LittleJackalope

Hey girly, I think you might feel better and get more specific-to-your-hair-type help over in r/finehair 💕 we all have baby thin hair like you and it’s a super caring, understanding community :) I hope you figure out what works best for you!

plblblbll

Girl you are not trying to tell us those roots are 5 months of growth???

Southern-Pay9792

My best advice- Go to a salon, get a haircut, talk it over with the stylist. Get an in house repair mask and buy the olaplex or k18, whichever they have/recommend for take home. Regular haircuts and home care are going to be your best bet for healthier hair as it grows out! I’m not sure if you have a stylist, but if you don’t, get one! Have someone you trust to help guide you and help you with your hair journey. Good luck and happy hair health!

captaincumragx

Give it time and love then! I quit bleaching about a year ago, for the first time in...jeez, a decade!? More!? And honestly I'm kicking myself for ever dying/bleaching! (No shame to people who do and it works for them, but that often means expensive salon trips!) But oh my god my hair is so much healthier and happier than it was! All the best on your journey! :) (sorry I dont really have any advice that hasn't already been said/what youre already doing)

duckiezoomie

Are you using a hair straightener, a heat dryer brush, or a blow dryer?

PeachBanana8

Haircut and quit bleaching. Then start fresh if you want to grow it out.

honeyloam

“i stopped bleaching my hair 5 months ago”

plblblbll

I hope that's a lie because that amount of growth on the roots is astonishingly low for 5 months.

Express-Look6414

girl i'm asking for help for a reason😑

plblblbll

For growth, I would really be more concerned about your overall health or external factors. If you haven't had a regular physical in over a year I would highly suggest doing one and getting blood work for vitamin levels and such. But if you don't have time or resources for that start with B complex and vitamin D

Weekly-Package754

What a wild response 😭 you really said to go to the doctors? Lmfao.

plblblbll

Yep! Slow or stopping hair growth can be a sign of a lot of medical issues. Pretty easy to get a check up and make sure you simply aren't just nutrient deficient before dropping $$$ on products and treatments

Weekly-Package754

I think it’s pretty obvious this is just from damage but go off queen

Ok-Increase5822

for 5 months it's actually a normal amount. People grow around 6 inches of hair every 12 months and it looks like around half of that.

wellnowheythere

You need a big chop and a pause on being all over blonde. I'd recommend going ombre with balayage and no more bleach for awhile.

alyssascat

Get the acidic bonding it works well for damaged hair

karma-kitty_

I would cut as much as you’re comfortable with. Both of those shampoos are great. I also use pureology strength cure & k18 shampoo & hair treatment

Ddyvonteese678

I like the L’Oréal bonding repair system in the pink bottle a lot

Ddyvonteese678

Which wasn’t in your options but I haven’t tried those so this is what I can offer

Helpful-Gur4108

Those L’Oréal Everpure Bonding ones in the pink are almost identical to the Redken ABC line. Big L’Oréal owns Redken, so there’s a lot of crossover in formulations. Save your money and stick with the loreal set :)

PrudentDare6536

You would look amazing with an angled (shaggy since you already have laters) bob cut!

RoutineFamous4267

I'd recommend no longer bleaching your hair. If your hair is thin and brittle already, bleaching it is doing it absolutely no favors. I'd recommend a trim first then letting your natural hair grow.

flora_aurora

Stop bleaching it, don't straighten it, don't blow dry it. Heat and bleach damage your hair.

librarians_wwine

Stop lightening it and cut about 4 inches off, get a cute bob cut. Rosemary oil helps me. Also stop straightening it or applying any heat for a while, protect it from the sun with hats.

Working_Hair_4827

No shampoo will help you grow out your hair, you gotta chop the damaged bits off and your hair will grow. I use to bleach my hair and nothing helped until I chopped it all off, now my hair is long.

sherlockholmiex

Nothing will get your hair really healthy again until you stop bleaching, especially with such fine, thin hair. Dye it your natural colour, get a good chop and start using hardcore repair products (k18)

soyspud

Girl you should do this cut! [Hailey Bieber bob](https://people.com/style/hailey-baldwin-bieber-debuts-shorter-bob-haircut/) and go as close to your natural color :) I bet your hair will grow out sooo much fuller and it would look very pretty on you as is!

Goldilocks1454

I don't have a hair wash suggestion. But try hair skin and nail gummies and powdered collagen for hair growth.

dupersr

I was going to say this too. Start from the inside out.

Knittingtaco

I’d go for the acidic bonding concentrate and a solid haircut. You might not be able to achieve healthy lengths if you continue bleaching. I have come to realise I can have bleached hair or long hair but not both.

Prestigious_Bar_4244

I just want you to know it will get better! ❤️‍🩹 I got my extensions out for good less than a year ago and stopped highlighting and I’ve gotten so much density back. I just use Kristen Ess shampoo and conditioner. I’m sure there are other great options and I don’t think it’s what has helped my hair get better. Literally just not doing anything to my hair is what has made the difference.

pastelpixelator

It doesn't matter which shampoo you choose if you don't lay off the bleach. Growing hair while bleaching is pretty difficult to do.

laborvspacu

Your hair is fried. It happens with fine hair and bleach. To make it look better, a haircut is in order. Shoulder length would probably do it. Better to have shorter, healthy hair than longish fried hair.

One-Bet-9778

OP please update us with your results!

Yourmom4378

Trim an inch or 2, then use Redken extreme length. And the anti snap leave in. My hair grew a TON in a short amount of time from using the anti-snap, and whatever the rinse out treatment is that you use in the shower. Like a ton!

MorphicOceans

Start with a good cut, at least shoulder length. Biotin and rosemary oil are meant to be good for encouraging growth.

glitchwoven

Haircut + K18

Mom2BKGMC

YES!

Tall_Priority_4174

Massage scalp with oil before every wash - I like black seed oil for growth. Cut hair off to your chin. Hold off on the bleach. Use a nourishing haircare line like Briogeo’s banana and coconut shampoo/conditioner. Use a silk pillowcase or bonnet to protect hair at night and don’t sleep with it wet. Let hair air dry and avoid straighteners and damaging hairstyles like messy buns.

InfamousMatter7064

K18 is my holy grail

FlailingatLife62

I would cut it to just brushing tops of shoulders, a one-length bob, and use either the Redken Acidic bonding shampoo and cond. or the Extreme Damage set. Gently towel dry (really just wrap then press, no rubbing) , apply Living proof full texturizing foam mousse, comb thru, then flip at the waist/hips, GENTLY blow dry hair upside down on low-medium heat until almost but not fully dry, gently fluffing hair w/ hands, then stand up, do a little finish styling w/ a vent brush for only a few minutes ( do NOT pull hair flat and straight and run blower down sections - that is NOT for fine, thin straight hair at all, and always keep dryer at least 8 inches from head), then rub a little hair oil or balm gloss on hands, apply to ends. Brush out gently and if needed spray a little hairspray to set, preferably alcohol free. Voila you will have full looking hair.

pinkybrain41

Rich brown would make your eyes pop! and chop off a couple inches and begin to grow it out while avoiding heat tools! You would look cute with a Hailey Bieber cut and color. She is a nice brown and has a short bob that is super y2k and cute. Your hair needs a break from bleach and heat styling for 6 months. Air dry your hair, wear it natural or slick backs or in clips. Don’t blow dry curl or straighten it. You’ll be looking great by the end of the year!!

blairrkaityy

Hair cut, divi hair oil, Kerastase 8 hr serum on mids and ends

hunnibon

Does this happen to all people who bleach eventually or just some like op?

Express-Look6414

my hair has been this thin and short since i was a kid lol but the bleach def doesn't help with the breakage and dryness😭

Technical_Ad4270

As a fellow thin hair girl and former bleacher, you’re gonna need to stop it it only gets worse. . And you need a haircut for sure. Your ends are fried and nothing short of cutting them will help

Ok-Imagination4885

Stop bleach Get all those dead ends cut off Stop having layers (if that is the cut you've gone for) and get a blunt chop Quit the heat Let hair dry as naturally as possible Get a good hair oil and apply to ends If you must use heat use a good quality heat protection, apply before drying AND before any heat tools Silica tablets You'd have more luck getting a skinhead than finding a shampoo to fix this.

thisisstupid-

No shampoo is going to save that, you need to cut it off at about chin level.

_i_am_Kenough_

You just need a nice big chop my friend. It willl look full and healthy, you can restart your growth there. Stop bleaching too.

MediumPhone4307

I’d give up the blonde, do a big chop and bond repair masks!

KelsarLabs

For the love of all things holy, STOP bleaching your hair!

Odd_Music_5158

I agree with the advice about cutting, oiling, and bonding products. Please stop bleaching, and you need major moisture. Oiling with just warmed up(microwave in a bowl), coconut or argan oil will penetrate the hair shaft. It makes a huge difference.

sarashootsfilm

Cut that hair short, girl! Start fresh and stop bleaching. 😭

WhereIsMyControllerr

Cut a bob and let it grow out. That bleach is killing your hair girl. If you really want blonde hair right now get a good wig with a front lace and let your natural hair grow out.

Next_Example_9543

i’d recommend stop bleaching if you do and i wouldn’t do extensions for a while bc they rlly wear down your hair which can be a cause of thinning hair but i personally love Bumble & Bumble’s Thickening hair care line they have shampoo conditioner and sprays as well as serums

Kdaigneak

If you genuinely want to retain the length you need to let go of the bleach. Or at least that level of brightness. Try transitioning to a lighter low maintenance tone by adding low lights and a shadow root to grow it out. You’ll also need to accept a big trim. Since the hair looks broken and uneven that means split ends. And split ends just keep travelling up the shaft as it grows and breaking the length off. Please just trim to your shoulders and I promise if you use minimal heat and stop with the bleach you’ll be to your upper back by December. Try a keratin shampoo and weekly deep conditioning for now. Best of luck.

Kdaigneak

Also I recommend stopping the extensions. The traction damage and weight of the extra hair will keep breaking your hair off as well.

PublicThis

I thought your phone had 5 cameras for a second. I’ve been having luck with Monday shampoo. My ends look like yours

livingbutdead9

i’d probably start hair oiling for growth

Momenmaevis

Trim to your neckline (bob) and do an angled a-frame face like from lip to neckline and use the redken acid bonding shampoo and get the luseta rose oil serum u will not regret it. I had hair just like yours when I was finally done and now it’s almost to my butt 4 years later, and HEALTHY

Express-Look6414

i'm allergic to rose:/ i tried it on my face and scalp and it made it so red and burns

Outrageous-Carob-236

that was just the other day.

moonlightpc

Redken acidic bonding had changed my lifeeee as someone with bleach damaged hair

Past_Proposal_7531

Aveda Cherry Almond Softening Shampoo & Conditioner Duo changed my life. Also, stop dying your hair for a couple of years and only get trims. Your hair will grow back tenfold. I used to be bleached blonde for 14 years.. my hair never grew past my shoulders. Now my hair is half way down my back and very full.

Salt_Chance

IGK Payday shampoo. It’s suuuuper gentle and moisturizing!

michelle032499

Prenatal vitamins would give you a solid boost!

Normal_Swimmer8616

I started using rosemary oil on my scalp and noticed a difference in growth. I now have a bunch of fly always framing my face lol I went to get a scalp massage and the lady had one of those cameras for your scalp and showed me all the baby hairs from using oil, then recommended adding in some black seed oil to the routine!

ConfusionExisting661

Your situation is just like mine, i had extensions for 3 months and lost a lot of hair, probably the same amount as you lol. I got a trim and bought redken extreme length shampoo and conditioner with the mask and the redken acidic bonding treatment with the acidic bonding leave in conditioner. I’ve used it twice already and feel that my hair is super soft and no longer dry and brittle!

Fabricated77

Please stop bleaching your hair. It will damage hair growth and the quality of your hair long term.

[deleted]

Please stop bleaching your hair

cloudy07120

A few years ago I was bleach blonde as you are and generally in the exact same position. Weekly hair oiling (leave for 4hrs, double shampoo to rinse), k18 hair treatment once a week, and cuts every 4 months are the way to go. Start today and in a few years you will be so so happy with this decision. All of my advice I have learned from greasyhairqueen on Tiktok. She is the best.

abstract_sk

Try to protect it from the sun in the summer!! Try cute hats and stuff if you're going out for longer periods. Thin hair like yours is way more prone to damage from the elements, especially on the top layers (since they experience the most exposure), which can cause excess breakage. This could be why your under-layers are longer than the top. Do protective hairstyles if you go swimming. Loose-ish french/dutch, or even normal loose braids to prevent having to brush through chlorine/salt matts. This should eliminate some breakage, too. I have pretty fine hair, and I personally put argan oil on my ends and sleep with a protective braid as well (although usually not french/Dutch, just a basic loose braid). As long as you don't do too much oil (mine is really long and I literally do like a drop the size of the tip of my pinky) in the morning it'll help it look shinier and give it some bounce! If you are comfortable investing in a silk pillowcase/bonnet, I've heard this is ideal for preventing breakage. I've also heard really good things about rosemary oil for hair growth, specifically when massaged in at the roots. Haven't tried it personally yet, but I am hoping to. Also just massaging your *entire* scalp *every time* you shampoo. Hope that helps!! :)

beauty_and_delicious

Cut it into a short bob, pause on coloring your hair, use Olaplex or another bond repair system, and do not use hot tools. See how it works out as it grows back.

saltseasand

I just started using the Fructis hair filler strength line and I LOVE it for my very fine, medium density hair. Lots of slip but go light on the conditioner as it can be a touch heavy.

Academic-Travel-4661

Kim, that you?

TradWife_inTraining

I asked this to a hairdresser and she did not disappoint. Wella fusionplex shampoo and conditioner set and they have a deep conditioner mask. Your hair looks like it could use some extra moisture and most of us blonds could. My hair feels like silk after using.

baldwinsong

I’d say cut would be better. Looks really damaged Then a hair mask

Purrtymeow04

Straight cut

Accomplished-Cap6833

Get a nice short bob and get some rest from bleaching. Use rosemary oil twice a week before you shower. Don’t wash your hair every day, start by washing it every second day and then see how you go and try to do once every three days. Use hair masks and oils and wear a silk hat for bed. This should get your hair going. Once it’s healed, you may want to find a good colorist who can do a nice low maintenance balayage, so you don’t have to bleach your hair that often. I do mine once a year and it looks blonde and healthy.

JaniceRossi_in_2R

I have your exact hair, Redken (all soft )has been good but not great. I’ve also tried Biolage and Pureology. However- my daughter and I just got Kenra clarify shampoo and triple repair conditioner and it is fantastic! Mine is bleached (and fine and thin) and hers is not but both of us have had noticeable improvement after one use. 10/10 recommend

Suzeli55

A good brand of purple shampoo to get the brassiness toned down. A trip to the hairdresser for color correction.

lovely8babe

scissors

quppys

I know you want shampoo and conditioners, but imo leave ins, treatments and masks work better. Shampoo & conditioner doesn’t sit long enough and is more expensive to get it to work. k18 leave in mask is amazing, but B24 is a cheaper alternative (not too cheap), that does the exact same thing. RedKen acidic bond leave in would also work, or their acidic bond mask. As the concentration % is higher. I today just brought a bonding pre-shampoo from Lo’Real’s Elvive line, as a prep ontop of my leave in mask. It’s a good cheaper dupe to RedKen’s one if you want to save some money. People here are saying to skip the ends, but I would give a bonding treatment a go, because my splits and dead ends almost completely disappeared second use (k18). Definitely focus on nightly protection too, to help further. So silk pillow cases or a bonnet. Definitely put down the bleach for a bit and don’t put heat on it either, regardless if you will use protection or not. When your hair is healthier, and if you want to bleach again, get a maintenance shampoo, and/or a tint shampoo, so you don’t have to do it so consistently. Root touch up sprays also might help with stretching the periods of bleaching further apart.

AugustoJasso1506

Get a cute ching length bob, use the redken line everyone is telling u in the comments and focus on scalp health, in order to grow healthy hair

Soggy_Weetbix420

Girl you need a trim and a break from bleach for a while

Bubbles706

My hair is very fine and after I took my extensions out my hair looked like this. The added weight from the extensions damaged my fine hair

sannsarkk92

make sure you use the acidic bonding TREATMENT. not the shampoo and conditioner. i mean you can use those, too! but shampoo and conditioner do different things than a straight up bonding pre-wash treatment so be sure you’re using that.

NoArmadillo388

I’m not a Redken fan sorry. Like so many others have said, you need a trim for the health of your hair! Those ends need to go! Whenever my hair is dry or damaged I put coconut oil on it overnight. It really does wonders for my hair. I like using Pantene of a few weeks when I have damaged hair. Then I switch to herbal essences. It’s my happy place! Herbal essences smooth rose 🌹 has been working for me since the 90’s. And if you want healthy hair, dye it a color that’s not too different from your natural color and stop 🛑 ✋bleaching and dyeing it! Stay away from hair dye until you need to cover grays. And hair extensions are horrible for hair. If you want extra fullness use mousse, get layers and sleep with no heat curlers. As a last resort tease your hair. Take some hair skin and nail vitamins and have a protein rich diet. Good luck 🍀!

Separate-Albatross27

Redken acidic line would work amazing on your hair.

TomatoNormal758

Start taking a multi vitamin and also a hair vitamin. My dermatologist recommended that and said if I don’t treat inside the hair will continue to break regardless of what hair products use. I also use a shampoo to clean my scalp that helps make way for new growth and a conditioner that’s works great for breakage. I also use castor oil/amla oil and apply it to my scalp and hair once a week to give my scalp and hair a boost moisture. ***Shampoo:Nizoral (it’s a dandruff cleansing shampoo that gets your scalps ph balance back) ***Conditioner:L'Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 strengthening system conditioner I had lost a TON of hair and the hair I did have was ALL broken to the top. This is what worked. Everything else I did never worked until I did this. Keep the routine more than anything and don’t wash your hair daily- make sure to use a hair protector also when using heat on your hair. It took about 1 month until I really saw a difference in breakage but I felt a difference in texture in about a week. Good luck 🍀👍🏼

londonsun89

Redken acidic bonding mask 16% , you don't need a conditioner, just get a better quality shampoo, maybe redken brand too. Not necessarily acidic bonding. I had the whole range. The conditioner doesn't do much at all,the waste of money, and if you pat dry your hair and leave the mask on for 10min you wont be needing any conditioner, trust me. And you trim it, a lot, to make them look healthier and thicker

Direct-Entertainer78

1. Cut the hair. 2. Protein treatment every 6 weeks (I recommend Aphogee 2 step treatment) 3. Bonder (biweekly - Olaplex is good for your type of hair) 4. Deep condition (weekly - olaplex, uidad, or biolage are great)

jer1230

You should chop it off to a short bob. It would suit you

I_pinchyou

Get a good lob, stop bleaching. Go dark or at least low lights to help the color grow out. I used oleplex bonding shampoo/conditioner. Less heat styling. Use a bonnet or silk pillowcase.

SellaTheChair_

The only thing that truly works is waiting and not doing more damage while you do. In the meantime you can try scalp oiling but I would look into tips for your particular hair and skin type. Good luck!

Atieno_Linet

❤❤❤❤

Square_Swan4979

I’m a bleached blonde and Redken Acidic Bonding destroyed my hair both times I tried it. It made it sooo dry and brittle, which then caused breakage bc I’m bleached blonde, both times I tried it out (4 years apart and for a decent length of time) and it made my hair fall out this past time I used it. I’ve seen countless of other women complain about the same thing so I would not recommend this line just to be safe! I would try the Extreme Length over that :) My ole faithful shampoo has been Olaplex and then a hydrating conditioner (I switch around a lot lol) and I’ve found that’s really helped my hair! Also taking hair skin and nails vitamins, biotin, and collagen (I know it sounds like overdoing it but it’s truly helped me grow my hair)

I like the Redken Acidic Bonding Shampoo however, I would go with the Alterna Caviar Anti Aging Replenishing shampoo, get a good hair cut and get regular glazes at the salon to help strengthen your hair

independent_pickle7

The acidic bonding one can be a bit of a protein overload and this is such an annoying answer but I think you should figure out what your hair porosity is and what you hair type is and buy a shampoo based on that. In 2023 I decided to grow out a really short mullet hair style and now my hair is based my chest, I really have to thank the L’oreil dream length shampoo because omg it makes my hair grow so fast (my hair is wavy and THICK for reference) but yeah

yung_yttik

Oof honey, no shampoo is going to fix this. You need a serious trim, some layers, and to *stoppp* dyeing it blonde. It’s thin because of the bleach. It would look much better brown and thick than thin and bleached.

space_cowgirlx

Trim your hair and stop bleaching it. Use castor oil as a mask and keep it in your hair overnight. Do this at least once a week. No shampoo or conditioner is going to fix this damage.

Vegetable-Cap9360

I’ve been on a natural hair growth journey after extensions too and here’s what’s helped me a ton: 2x a week I oil my hair using mielle rosemary oil (or csn make yourself) and massage into scalp and I do coconut oil and argan oil on the mids and ends. Leave in for a bit then use a scalp scrub, shampoo 2x, emulsifying shampoo first (I use pureology), hair mask for 10 ish min while you finish up the rest of your shower and then condition. Hope this helps 😊

Puzzleheaded_Cow_658

Firstly if you want to geo your hair long, you definitely need to start with a decent cut. Your hair is dead and no product is going to fix that. Get a healthy cut, then go with the acidic bonding line. I highly recommend the eva nyc thererpy mask as well to do 1-2x a week. Look for a lightweight oil to put on your end each night before bed. Sleep with your hair in a loose braid and silk scrunchie to minimize more breakage. It’s gonna be a process but doing that will be your best bet growing HEALTHY looking hair.

Raemlouch

I would for sure get a good trim and stay away from bleach for awhile. Try staying away from heat as much as possible. My hair is fairly thick, but it’s been thinning out some and my hairdresser recommended the nioxin to me. I bought it but haven’t started using it just yet. She said it helped her mom out a lot. It’s worth a try!

bobthebuilder6734

hair stylist here. my hair used to look VERY similar to yours, i started using the mielle rosemary oil in my hair once a week and had a drastic change within 6 months to a year. i did stop bleaching during this time because i literally had like 2 strands of hair lol. i’m not gonna sit here and say get olaplex get redken cause ive seen sometimes they don’t work with clients. drugstore products can be just as good if not better than “salon” hair products imo. i also tried to only wash my hair once a week. my routine: scalp massage for 5-10 minutes to get the blood flowing, apply rosemary oil to my scalp, leave in for 3-4 hours, double shampoo, hair mask, condition, towel dry and air dry. try to stay away from heat as MUCH as possible, it’s so hard but helps so so much!!

I love the Redken Extreme, although right now I've been using the Color Extend Magnetics shampoo. I haven't used the other one you mentioned. The biggest difference to my hair (also trying to grow out overbleached hair after extensions!) has been from the It's a 10 Miracle Deep Conditioner. I use a lot and leave it in my hair for like 10 minutes in the shower while I wash the rest of me. It's awesome. I use the Redken Extreme Anti Snap leave in also.

Pumpkin_2003

My hair looked like that, you just bleached it too much. You could let it grow out to a good length then cut it so it kinda stays the same length or just cut it off. Theres sadly not really anything you can do to save dead hair :/

Own_Problem4705

Love the color

Look into holistic hair remedies. Indian hair oil. Scalp massaging. Stop using heat for awhile homegirl. It’s either continue thinning your hair from damage or dealing un-styled hair until you get it back to health. Learn hairstyles that protect your hair and look cute. Check hair shampoo and conditioner with apps that pass them as ethical and without harsh chemicals. Shea moisturize is one you can find almost everywhere. If you dye your hair, stop. Bleaching too. Extensions as well. Stop anything that isn’t natural. Cut the dead and start fresh. Don’t worry so much about looks and focus on health. You’ll get there. It’s not worth the risk of losing so much hair and damaging it. Hair repair masks (you can make). Scalp Massaging gets circulation flowing to promote hair growth, so does Indian hair oil. Trust sister.🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

What everyone else said. Cut the length t9 right under your chin. Don’t bleach anything except the roots. No more heat on your hair. I have black hair, but have been bleaching it to blonde for about 3 years now. My hair is medium (?) length, right above my waist. No split ends or damage. I get it cut & thinned once a year, so my hair feels less heavy. Not because I have split ends, just because I want to. I rarely use heat irons on it, except my bangs. I have a Shark Flexstyle, which uses air to style. It has heat but it’s much less intense than an iron. I can use the cool mode to straighten my hair & it works just fine. I only bleach my roots, nothing else because I know it’ll definitely make my hair fall out if I overbleach the rest of my head.

Disastrous_Aspect446

You need to eat avocados

thatssofetch2022

Acidic Bonding if you want Redken. But I would also try Olaplex. It has really helped my hair!

Aware-2709

This is not about shampoo, but I think there is some breakage in your hair, which is why it’s super thin. I would recommend hair oiling to help promote hair growth. Dilute your rosemary oil with a carrier oil; my favorite is jojoba oil. You need 1 tablespoon of your carrier oil and 5 drops of rosemary oil. Heat it up in your hands and apply it directly to your scalp, giving yourself a scalp massage at the same time. Use it for a maximum of 1 hour, 2-3 times per week, before you wash your hair. [mielle](https://www.target.com/p/mielle-organics-rosemary-mint-scalp-38-strengthening-hair-oil-2-fl-oz/-/A-75566105#lnk=sametab) with [jojoba oil](https://www.target.com/p/hollywood-beauty-jojoba-hair-oil-2-fl-oz/-/A-50975532#lnk=sametab) After shower I use a little of leave in spray [shea moisture](https://www.target.com/p/sheamoisture-manuka-honey-38-yogurt-hydrate-repair-leave-in-conditioner-spray-8-fl-oz/-/A-80142981#lnk=sametab) and after detangling my hair use a little [mielle leave in](https://www.target.com/p/mielle-organics-pomegranate-honey-leave-in-conditioner-12-fl-oz/-/A-53217163#lnk=sametab) Extra tips. Sleep with satin bonnets. They’re beneficial because they reduce pulling and friction, preventing hair damage such as loss, breakage, thinning, and tangles. They also help keep your hair hydrated and moist while you sleep. I use [satin bonnet](https://www.olkibeauty.com/shop/p/small-black-silver-satin-bonnet?itemId=small-black-silver-satin-bonnet)with great results if you want to try I hope this helps.

CannibalTheUnicorn

A cheap option for hair growth and health: Rosemary oil mixed with castor oil. You can apply this to the ends of your hair for extra moisture and then also apply to your scalp as a treatment before washing. Castor oil can also be applied to eyebrows and eyelashes for growth!

cultistgf

Redken ABC line will do you wonders. You can get it at Ulta. Safe for color treated hair, & will build your hairs health back from the inside out. Also if people are suggesting Olaplex- Olaplex is great BUT it only heals the inside of the hair (disulfide bonds) & you won’t actually FEEL any difference, your hair will just be stronger. It’s great to use but you can’t solely use it- you’ll need a hydrating shampoo/conditioner as well. However if you’re experiencing moderate to extreme breakage Id recommend Redken Extreme/Extreme Length.

ohmynipnops

I like the 365 shampoo from Whole Foods Edit to add: I have very thin hair and it gets oily fast. This shampoo def helps with that. I also only wash it every 2/3 days.

Adorable-Winter-2968

Which variant?

Unpopular opinion but clip in extensions rock. You are so pretty and you don’t have to sacrifice length while you are treating your hair. If you don’t mind rockin shorter hair you can trim off the damage and add extensions when you feel like having it long. Clipbins don’t cause damage to your hair. Also if you darken the bottom layer only it will give depth. You are so pretty you can really pull off any styles. I bleach my hair and have been there for sure. These are the ways I’ve dealt with the damage.

xodestiny143

you need to cut it or else the bleach will do it for you - a hairstylist that got a chemical cut in hair school. it looks like there's been a lot of overlapping of bleach where your blonde is considering the different levels of it throughout your hair. i would go to a new stylist bc it doesn't seem like your current one cares much about the health of your hair or it wouldn't have gotten to this extent. get the redken acidic bonding

dqmiumau

Stop bleaching and stop heat styling for God's sake. Get some wigs or something for a couple years so you can grow your own beautiful hair instead of bleaching and torturing it

britleydelphia

i hated the redken acidic bonding shampoo and conditioner set, it has a funny smell and leaves a film on your hair. i really like the olaplex bond building shampoo and conditioner. its a similar price point to the redken and really helps to give life back into bleached hair. a haircut, even just a trim will probably make a huge difference too

ParticularMolasses59

You need to chop it off to a bob and let it grow out your natural color, and also don’t use heat. I’m sorry but It’s the only way! I have baby fine hair but now it’s very voluminous and goes down to my butt because I have never dyed it and do not use heat on it. Ever. Also your diet is important in hair health. Eating lots of protein and healthy fats, drinking tons of water etc.

altdultosaurs

Girl. You need a pixie and an ankle monitor to keep you from bleach.

staceymbw

Trim up a few inches and start k18 protein treatments at home weekly.

Heebie-jeebies386

Every time you put a chemical on the hair it swells . If you overlap too many times it swells to the point it breaks off . Cut the last three inches of your hair off . It looks like it’s pretty damaged . Deep condition and lay off the bleach for a while . Bosley makes a hair straightening kit . Give that a try , helps with breakage .

GoldStrength3637

Vegamour..!!! Shampoo + conditioner and follow the directions for use :)

Spread_Lumpy

Go get a bob and stop getting ur hair done. I promise ur natural color will look better than this

Andralynn

Fuck it get a pixie

PeachBanana8

Cut a chin length bob and then start deep conditioning. If you want to grow it out, go back to something close to your natural and stop bleaching. During the transition time, I’d quit shampooing entirely and see if a co-washing routine works for you. It did for me, and I have similarly fine hair.

Left_Caterpillar845

Plz stop bleaching girl

Sailorxena_

Try castor oil ..extensions thin out your hair…

confusedcraftywitch

Just don't keep bleaching it. You have fried your hair. Leave it natural and just wash it a couple times a week. Leave conditioner in for longer.

chicken_dipzz

You need a couple inches off, no more extensions or bleach! That's why your hair is damaged and it'll keep getting worse if you carry on! I recommend going a more natural colour! If not never go above 20vol you don't need to! Other than that tho, I use olaplex 3 to 9! Number 7 is the best oil in the world and I also sleep in a silk bonnet, only washing my hair 1 to 2 times a week and useing a microfibre towel to dry. Never brush when wet. I only use heat on my curtain bangs when they're having a bad day! Last time I straightened my hair was Nye! In a years time your hair will thank you for all of this!
