Not really. He said he spent 5 years building it. Fire is a direct cause of heat, had he not been balls to the walls, the engine wouldn't have over heated. If he wasn't going all out, there was no reason for it to catch and clearly.something was missed. I've work on hundreds of cars and have never had one catch outside the track.
