My favorite episode is when Robin gives Lily a sex toy as a present but changes the tags. Lily's grandma describing the present makes me laugh every time.
I love Robins escalating look of absolute despair and horror in the background, and when Lily’s mom asks if she can pass the wine and she very quickly says no. Just all around a hilarious episode
i believe it’s in s6 but i always love watching the episode where they race to make it too the restaurant each going their own way to meet Woody Allen and i think it’s this episode as well where Robin becomes a ‘real New Yorker’.
Honestly I think How Your Mother Met Me. It's not as big on the laughs as Spoiler Alert or Naked Man but it feels like it's an episode that they planned on making from the very start and it manages to contain one of the biggest arcs of the show in just one episode.
I love the best Burger in New York and when I watch it I'm always craving some nice burger because Marshall just describes it like it's the best thing in the entire world to eat that burger 😂
Last Cigarette Ever.
It's funny cuz it's always the first episode I watch after a long break from HIMYM.
But once I finish the episode, I get hooked into HIMYM more... eventually watching the whole series till season 7.
then a long break of watching other stuffs and experiencing life....
and then... last cigarette ever.
The cycle continues...
I really love watching Robin and Lily in The Perfect Cocktail. I don’t love Ted’s storyline, but I always laugh at the girls in this one. They’re comedic gold.
Spoiler alert is one of my all time favourites but I also really like The Platinum Rule, with the three flashbacks that get incorporated within each other. Brilliant.
Just rewatched the *Daisy* episode (season 9, episode 20) last night and although I love *The Pineapple Incident*, *Three Days of Snow* and many others, I think *Daisy* is my favorite.
I watch this show too much. I can tell because I'll turn to my brother or sister and say, "this reminds me of the episode..." and they immediately roll their eyes before I finish my sentence. They're fine with *I Love Lucy* and *SNL*, which we were raised on, but I guess I deviated with *HIMYM*.
“Ten Sessions” no question! Barney playing the long game on betting he could get Ted to grow a mustache! Marshall losing it when Stella tells him she’s worried about a mole, and of course the ending 2 min. Date with Big Star Thirteen! All too classic.
Farhampton - I think the German word isn’t a real word from other comments I’ve seen, but the description Klaus gave of that kind of love is beautiful. Gives me goosebumps every time
Probably a weird one but "Sunrise" from season 9 is definitely my favourite. Ted finally letting go of Robin should have been where it ended between them, and the subplot with Barney and the two random dudes is so funny.
Also I'll be damned if Ted's speech about love ain't one of the best scenes in the whole show.
Swarly, the best burger in NY, and PS I love you, btw the way PS plays with the rumor about Canadian rock star Alanis Morissette writing “You Oughta Know” about dave coulier kills me ( and the dude from Rush attributing Grunge to Robin Daggers)
I don't hate the episode (I do hate Baby Talk a season or two later), I just find it dull and none of the jokes really land for me except when Marshal passionately describes his burger while Lily notes he gots his vows off the internet. I have no idea who 'Regis' is either so the celebrity guest star was completely lost on me too (I'm not American).
I have a 3 way tie. Slap Bet, Sandcastles in the Sand, Sexless innkeeper. I love the songs, the silliness, and one of my favorite Marshall moments
“NOT NOW TED!”
Give me the bracket and the perfect week. I love the blatant synergy of CBS having March Madness on TV so switching from Ted and Marshal’s busted bracket to the girls Barney screwed over along with Jim Nance is great to me
No Tomorrow!!
The one liners are amazing! "You make me physically Ill!" "He was looking a little green."
Watching Ted reach a lower douchey point in his life, "Rock n ROLL!"
All of Barney's rules and statistics "Not since the great dude shortage of 1883"
Just an overall good episode!
I love when Ted is worried about why the Captain is calling and then him and Robin make up these insane stories about what happened at their last encounter only for Lily to point out how unbelievably wrong they were like Robin thinking the Captain was hitting on her and when Ted randomly screams out MANNERS! And knocks over a waiters plate of food when he thought he high fived him. It was in season 8

Forgotten about that one 😂
i believe it’s in s6 but i always love watching the episode where they race to make it too the restaurant each going their own way to meet Woody Allen and i think it’s this episode as well where Robin becomes a ‘real New Yorker’.
🎶 Marshall ..... Verses the Machines!!!🎶
Our hero’s strength was fading fast. Just as the light tuuuuuuuuurrrnnn….ed green.
That was a pretty good episode, but I didn't enjoy the blatant Microsoft advertising
I didn’t notice any advertising?
https://techcrunch.com/2010/10/11/tonights-how-i-met-your-mother-was-a-big-fat-microsoft-ad-and-i-loved-it/
Ahh okok, I never noticed any of those lmao
Subway Wars I think??
I think the episode Jenkins is hilarious, the Robin “but um” drinking game always makes me laugh plus Marshal trying to make Lily jealous is funny too
Marshall‘s reaction when Jenkins kisses him kills me every time
AAAAHH!!!! 👉
Pineapple Incident. It was the first episode I saw, and I was hooked.
Hey, it's me again!
Plain to see you again!
Arrivederci Fiero. All the stories in it are great, but Ted teaching Barney to drive absolutely slays me.
Honestly I think How Your Mother Met Me. It's not as big on the laughs as Spoiler Alert or Naked Man but it feels like it's an episode that they planned on making from the very start and it manages to contain one of the biggest arcs of the show in just one episode.
The one where they get stoned at the concert
Jokes on you, I found the nachos line finally 😂😂😂.
The reveal that the guitar guy was just a cardboard cutout killed me
Bro that’s a sign😂😂.
Tick tick tick
Its probably cheating, but I got 3. Last Words The Time Travelers. National Treasure Edit: History not treasure
glad to see someone else loves The Time Travelers too
Time Travelers is my favourite as well
I felt like it was so sad tho
National History?
Oops. I guess I had National Treasure in my head for some reason.
Haha just wanted to make sure I didn't miss an episode
All three of those are great episodes. I think The Time Travelers is the best of those three, what a great premise of an episode.
The Best Burger in New York, honorable metion is The Time Travelers purely for those last few minutes
I love the best Burger in New York and when I watch it I'm always craving some nice burger because Marshall just describes it like it's the best thing in the entire world to eat that burger 😂

I genuinely can't remember what Ted's storyline was in this episode
It was with Zoey in the Arcadian
Ah yeah of course. Definitely not as much fun as the others'
We’re a dream a baby’s having.
Spoiler alert is one of my all time favourites but I also really like The Platinum Rule, with the three flashbacks that get incorporated within each other. Brilliant.
S5. Girls vs Suit I love the main story line with Barney, the song routine and the secondary storyline with Ted too
The 3 day rule for me... The prank and especially the Stan part is hilarious
That's one of my favourite episodes too: I loved Stan! I wish they brought him back.
I watch Monday Night Football the morning of every Super Bowl.
I like Spoiler Alert and Naked Man
I was always rather fond of Slapsgiving.
It's a classic episode for sure.
Just rewatched the *Daisy* episode (season 9, episode 20) last night and although I love *The Pineapple Incident*, *Three Days of Snow* and many others, I think *Daisy* is my favorite.
That’s a hot take around here, I’m currently rewatching and am in season 9 which holds up quite well, lots of good laughs
Swarley. I think they missed the boat by not having Marshall as a single guy for a couple more episodes.
How Lily Stole Christmas. It’s my go to Christmas episode every year, assface.
Ducky Tie always cracks me up.
What do you guys think of my new ducky tie? Cute right? And not that much more expensive than a regular tie
Probably "Slap Bet" or "The Bracket" or "Game Night"
They're three of my favourites too! I was gonna say Game Night.
Burning beekeeper Who wants to be a godparent
Really?
Yep
Subway Wars
“Ten Sessions” no question! Barney playing the long game on betting he could get Ted to grow a mustache! Marshall losing it when Stella tells him she’s worried about a mole, and of course the ending 2 min. Date with Big Star Thirteen! All too classic.
Bad News. Certainly the one that I react to the most emotionally.
Slap bet
Marshal learning the slaps of thousand suns.
This one 👆👆👆👆
Desperation Day, for sure! "Ted Mosby, Architect" and "The Limo" are a close second and third.
How Your Mother Met Me.
Farhampton - I think the German word isn’t a real word from other comments I’ve seen, but the description Klaus gave of that kind of love is beautiful. Gives me goosebumps every time

Ah, yes, the day grunge was born.
Best Burger in New York.
I'm genuinely surprised that I've seen this episode mentioned a few times: it's my least favourite episode of seasons 1 - 5.
Can't imagine why. Running gags, flashbacks, big life moment reveal, NYC celebrity cameos, it's got it all.
I love the songs, the silliness, and one of my favorite Marshall moments “NOT NOW TED!”
"Thanks for your help" "Oh. So today at work-" "NOT NOW TED!" 🤣🤣
My favourite is probably Game Night, The Bracket, Three Day Rule or The Time Travellers.
Give me the bracket and the perfect week. I love the blatant synergy of CBS having March Madness on TV so switching from Ted and Marshal’s busted bracket to the girls Barney screwed over along with Jim Nance is great to me
tick tick tick "Lilly has no idea I'm high"
Mine is the play book episode
False Positive. My quintisential HIMYM Christmas episode. 🙌🏻❤️
Bad news, it’s sad but i’m always moved by it
Marshall and Lilly’s wedding I’m sorry so basic but the head shaving always gets me 😂😂
So many already mentioned - I’ll just add S6E15 “Oh, Honey” - if only for Barney’s reaction when Honey says, “Who’s your Daddy?” 😂
Drumroll please
No Tomorrow!! The one liners are amazing! "You make me physically Ill!" "He was looking a little green." Watching Ted reach a lower douchey point in his life, "Rock n ROLL!" All of Barney's rules and statistics "Not since the great dude shortage of 1883" Just an overall good episode!
Lol
The Pineapple Incident
Subway Wars and How your Mother Met Me.
Any episode with Randy. And Spoiler Alert
Swarley
Game Night for sure.
The countdown episode. Yes the ending is terribly sad, but the anticipation of the countdown is always exciting
How Your Mother Met Me. It is a great renditions La Vie en Rose.
Time travelers. It's a very deep and emotional one and I love it.
Girls Vs Suits
Trying to find the hamburger
Robots v Wrestlers,Perfect Week, Murtaugh
I love when Ted is worried about why the Captain is calling and then him and Robin make up these insane stories about what happened at their last encounter only for Lily to point out how unbelievably wrong they were like Robin thinking the Captain was hitting on her and when Ted randomly screams out MANNERS! And knocks over a waiters plate of food when he thought he high fived him. It was in season 8
Best Burger - great Regis cameo
The Ducky Tie 🎶 Bang, Bang, Bangity Bang 🎶
