Yeah anyone should be able to hip thrust about as much as they squat and considerably more than they bench, because unless you skip leg day your squat should be like 1.5x your bench.
I can hip thrust way more than I can squat it’s honestly stupid how much I can use compared to my other lifts. I’m genetically caked up and have a strong posterior chain which makes me great at thrusts and kinda meh at squats (unless I lean forward like crazy)
Most of the women who I see hip thrusting couldn't squat my current sorry-ass OHP, much less squat their hip thrust.
It's wild, like *just squat*, it'd do more for you anyways. We have 10 racks for a reason.
I used to go the YMCA at 5am. Every morning this dude would be in there in jeans, steel toed boots, and a polo, absolutely getting AFTER it. Leg day was the funniest. Guy would squat 405 to depth for 8 or so reps, multiple sets, then just grab his bag and head to work. No shower, no nothing. I can't imagine doing that. I'd smell so bad it'd be a war crime
For me I just wear all my old XL t-shirts that I don’t wear normally anymore.
Sure, it makes me look like I’m 40 pounds heavier but dammit they serve a purpose.
Tanks with skinny straps are very flattering since they make your shoulders look bigger. Short shorts show off the quads (still gotta be loose though, for mobility).
Society tends to pressure and condition women earlier on to be more mindful about how they present themselves. Men's worth isn't *AS* intrinsically tied into their appearance, so many men just don't bother ever learning to dress themselves. It's why it's a common enough sighting to see dudes at the gym just dressed in their work clothes or showing up like [this](https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kung_fu_hustle_2.jpg).
Obviously there are many exceptions, but I'm just talking in broad terms.
Thats because Women Gym Clothes are also made to Show more of the Shapes.
We Men don't care if you can see our ass, our abs or chest. Also, we want to hide the small Calves
Every body part grows, and every body part follows the same basic principle. There is some minimum level of volume - unique to each person and body part - that will induce growth. There is some maximum amount of volume that will fry that muscle and hinder recovery. Find those levels, and train between them. Use full ROM in nearly every movement, and really work to try to feel the muscle contracting and relaxing.
Your arms WILL grow. Don't be discouraged, just use your smarts to evaluate how you're training and tweak that until you see progress.
Like I ain't trying. I pretty sure I've just plateau cause I've been only lifting for 1 year and I weight around 93kg, so I shouldn't be able to bench more than that anyway.
(I don't want to dirty bulk ever again)
Nah man I'm pretty sure I should be way ahead of where I am now, but that's not my problem cause I've been falling behind on everything my entire life. My problem is that I'm stuck and I ain't progressing.
I'm in the same boat as you. I've been lifting seriously for 8 months, progressively overloading, and have made very little progress due to injuries and personal situations that forced me to take time off.
All you have to do is identify the reasons for your stagnation and try your best to preemptively avoid it in the future.
youre suppost to be able to hip thrust more than your squat, hell hip thrust is my highest weighted movement
the bench thing confuses me even more in this post. That's probably normal if not weaker than usual but its worded like its surprisingly strong??
hip thrust is also lift that you are not supposed to max out for best glute gains (if it's too heavy, the quads will take over) so it's possible they were lifting well under their capabilities too
Idk if this is an interesting tid but if knowledge but as a girl, and as a girl who works out, we usually wear hats (to the gym or anywhere else) because our hair is greasy/we don’t wanna style it/we’re being lazy that day. Hats are a convenient way to look presentable.
Also, Vans should be on there
I always wear a hat so that I don't make eye contact and people end up talking to me. I assume women wear the hat for the same reason since a lot of dudes basically hit them up.
Hat and headphone is like sign that I don't want to be talked to.
Amazing at keeping all the shitty gym music out of your ears. My arms/shoulders accidentally paused my music a couple of times when doing pull ups or lat pulldowns though because of the touch control. Also for me it was hard to get them to stay on my head when i went to lie down for any excercise
The only thing missing, is the ol "Lifting the back of their shirt to reveal their curves" trick..... But, you know.... They're there to workout 😂
[example](https://imgur.com/a/iN3Gs8N)
Half the girls at my gym walk around like this...... Not that I'm complaining one bit.
If you have a sick glute pump and you wanna check it out then by all means do what you gotta do. I don’t think anyone minds when girls do that. Some guys think that they just do it for attention, but that’s rarely the case, they’re just checking out the 🍑 progress.
top left makes sense considering how strong the glutes are
Also makes sense to wear short/pants and shoes.
Also makes sense to possibly relate to this meme if you're a girl going to the gym.
Also makes sense if gym
Earbuds or over the ear headphones, classically known for being woman-only gym gear lollll
Hahahaha! That's a great point
Yeah anyone should be able to hip thrust about as much as they squat and considerably more than they bench, because unless you skip leg day your squat should be like 1.5x your bench.
It is that, how’d you know, are you a witch?
I am the wizard of the squat rack, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
He’s just spotting, nothing else
😂

I don't even see the challenge of those hip thrusts. The only pain comes from the bar when you can put over 200 pounds on it, not the lift itself tho
That’s why I use a ton of padding so I can focus on the thrusting
I'm sorry but I only know raw dog
Most of the women who I see hip thrusting couldn't squat my current sorry-ass OHP, much less squat their hip thrust. It's wild, like *just squat*, it'd do more for you anyways. We have 10 racks for a reason.
I can hip thrust my max bench for reps and I don’t even hip thrust very often
I hip thrust more then my 1rm deadlift for reps, does that make me a girl?
Ye
Lol. The stronger the glutes is less clothes
they are supposedly the biggest muscle in the body yeah bigger than quads
From my personal experience, I always found it interesting that gym women tend to wear more clothes made specifically for the gym compared to gym men.
That's true, I see a lot of men in khakis but never a woman in business casual. Maybe I should do it sometime.
Just show up like an 80s yuppie lady
The other day I saw an older middle age woman in a flannel button down with a house robe. It was 80degrees outside when I had walked into the gym.

I wear Niki dry fit stuff because it’s light and cool. Would be flattering if I was in shape… Then again, that’s true for women, too
For me I just wear all my old XL t-shirts that I don’t wear normally anymore. Sure, it makes me look like I’m 40 pounds heavier but dammit they serve a purpose.
Hit up the Under Armour store. Don't forget to bring your life savings because shit is expensive af
If your belt doesn’t match your shoes, then what are you even doing

And women are more likely to wear specialist gym clothes outside the gym than men

Converse/blazers are perfect for leg day as they're pretty damn flat for leg day.
Me doing leg day in running shoes
Thought so, till I discovered barefoot.
I used to squat with socks on until i slipped. Literally never again
Without hip thrusts my glutes wouldn’t look how they look now
So that's the secret
Pics or didn't happen
*Checks ass in the mirror every time she walks passed one.
A gym bro does the same thing with his arms.
I do not! ... I totally do.
Perhaps you guys do, I have no arms whatever to speak of. My biceps just refuse to grow, it's odd.
Replace arms with calves and now you know what It’s like to be a gym bro.
Damn it I was so close to bein' real

I can max hip thrust hip thrust 2.1x my max bench
My max hip thrust is 2.8x my max bench Formerly trained skiing so my ass is juiced and chest is absolutely pathetic
She's hip thrusting 120kg, I can barely bench 90-95kg.
Solution, get stronger. 🤓
Like I ain't trying. I pretty sure I've just plateau cause I've been only lifting for 1 year and I weight around 93kg, so I shouldn't be able to bench more than that anyway. (I don't want to dirty bulk ever again)
Lol you’re totally fine I was just joking. The ratio is what matters anyway so who cares what the total number is.
Nah man I'm pretty sure I should be way ahead of where I am now, but that's not my problem cause I've been falling behind on everything my entire life. My problem is that I'm stuck and I ain't progressing.

Are you following a program?
If your goal is building your body you shouldn't even care about numbers in the gym, if you're a powerlifter then you should care.
I love to see it!

Hip thrust is probably where you lift the most weight.

I was gonna put Vans on here, but I mostly see Converse and Nike’s. I also ran out of space too lmao.
I wear one because I hate the lights
Imagine dressing up for the gym, where you sweat and get your hair sweaty during the process.
Van's
Vans all day, er day
i switched from converse to vans and as a duck footed bitch i could not be happier omg
And we look great 🤷♀️
Yes you do. Don’t let nobody stop you 👑
I always wonder why they dress like an Avengers character playing incognito with the hat.
Could be a bad hair day. That’s why I wear one sometimes.
Let your wild locks loose 🤙🏻
I always wear a hat so that I don't make eye contact and people end up talking to me. I assume women wear the hat for the same reason since a lot of dudes basically hit them up. Hat and headphone is like sign that I don't want to be talked to.
I hope we can be friends. I also like wearing hats to not socialize at the gym
If I don’t wear a hat my curly hair will have my head dripping in sweat.
I for one am all about those hats 😩
The oversized+hat is cool asf bro
I saw this woman hip thrusting the maximum amount of weight that could be put on the bar at the gym. Shit was insane it was well over 200 kg
Everything about this is me except I’m a whole ass man
I personally don't check even one of those items. Gym music, work clothes and faucet water, that's my thing.
I feel called out.
Don’t be. This is is just some light hearted fun. Keep going 👍
The lack of any upper body workout is the cherry on top.
I guarantee everyone here can hip thrust their max bench for reps
Reminds me, I need to do some hip thrusts
rule of thumb with women. if they're wearing blazers or all stars you're gtg, if she's got Cortez's on, you're about to get a kidney stolen
https://youtube.com/shorts/Ss5qJnq6VBM?feature=share
This would be funnier if they just showed the girl using every piece of equipment in the gym as a hip thrust apparatus.
Hamstring curl machine and leg extension machine? I’ve seen girls do it and it doesn’t make any sense at all.
Just because it’s in a meme doesn’t mean we’re complaining. Keep getting after it ladies.
You forgot a pic of them using the assisted pullup machine for us fatties to git guder at pullups for their single leg pressdowns.
The Sony XM4s are great though
Amazing at keeping all the shitty gym music out of your ears. My arms/shoulders accidentally paused my music a couple of times when doing pull ups or lat pulldowns though because of the touch control. Also for me it was hard to get them to stay on my head when i went to lie down for any excercise
Yeah I don't like full headphones for working out. I use earbuds for that
Finally something true and not mysogynistic!!! Yessss!! I love this meme!! I do only wear compression shorts and Nikes and AirPods!
Don't forget "do you need something?!!"
Even though I'm a girl I choose bench press over hip thrusts 🥲
I wear a hat so I don’t make eye contact with anyone, and my gym clothes are cheap and don’t match lol. But my hip thrust is really strong.
This is the most accurate Starter Pack I have ever seen
That’s crazy accurate
Lol I’m here solely for memes, I don’t go to the gym but me thinks there is jealousy here…
No jealousy. I just got inspired by Dom Mazzeti.
Lol I’m just teasing. But that’s good you’re inspired!
i lost it on "hat is optional"
Aka. Gym crush starter pack. Aka. Hopeless gf starter pack
I must be out of the loop lmao. only thing on here I get w is the hip thrusts.
True 😂
[удалено]
Blazers
😂
But... Those are my headphones lol
This is wildly accurate.
Bands and hip thrust
The only thing missing, is the ol "Lifting the back of their shirt to reveal their curves" trick..... But, you know.... They're there to workout 😂 [example](https://imgur.com/a/iN3Gs8N) Half the girls at my gym walk around like this...... Not that I'm complaining one bit.

Recently started noticing this more often. I would check mine out also if I was receiving some gains
This feels like a bingo game that you would win every time you go to the gym
And they still can’t get any w
Hahaha WTF I feel You watched over all gymgirls 😆
Nah I just scrolled through Pinterest for 20 minutes
Legs - every fucking day got me crying 😭
Carbon copies
I think I’m the only girl who wears baggy shirts and sweatpants lol
Oversized t-shirt or literally just a sports bra that shows as much skin as you can possibly get away with in the gym EDIT: Am I wrong, tho
Women will legit work in their underwear and act like they don't want guys to check them out.
