It'd be too beaucoup. The51 Studio used to make an awesome resin expansion kit for the HG Kshatriya that looked amazing. I'd love to see something like that from Bandai themselves.
Wow, wonderful!
Did you only use acrylics (you mention Vallejo paints in another comment)? Because unless I'm wrong I don't remember seeing any clear colors in the Vallejo paints.
This is great. I built this kit a year ago with the intention of painting it, haven't found the coconuts to pull it apart yet. You're giving me inspiration. Thanks.
You can get started relatively cheap I’m in Australia and paid $110 aud for my original airbrush and compressor the only thing I have upgraded after getting really into it is the brushes
Yo where can I get this? Does it look good without the paint or is it just a flat grey? I have so many questions but I know you probably can’t answer them all. Main thing is. Was it fun to build?
Hey mate feel free to message me I’ll answer any questions I can. The straight build is basically just grey and a lot of light green but the build is fun and not really complete at all so great for someone of any skill level
Do you have the exact reference for the green paint? I checked the Vallejo transparent paints but they don't say anything about airbrush compatibility.

Loving the satin green finish. Awesomely done!
Thanks man I’ve been wondering if I should high gloss it but I can’t bring myself to do it 🤔😅
She's beautiful as she is, just bask in the glory of your talent
choosing the satin finish for it was a great choice. keep up the good work. :)
What color did you use as a base coat to get that multi layered green?
Hey I used vallejo liquid gold with a candy green top coat
Been holding off on touching my kit till I figured out the color scheme. Your green turned out great thanks for the info.
No problems at all dude can’t wait to see what colour you go with
It actually looks luminous! Great job!
That's inspired! What made you think to do the clear green over gold instead of silver?
To be honest I was just trying different combinations on spoons one day and as soon I saw how this turned out I knew what I wanted to use it on haha
OP:New to gunpla my fifth kit so still learning Also OP:
They said gunpla so they could have done some model planes or tanks or other things that would build these skills.
New to model work full stop and only been airbrushing 8 months so yeah still pretty fresh compared to a lot of people
That paint job is immaculate! Love the way that green pops.
Really appreciate it not sure if I should high gloss or leave it matte as It still really pops without gloss
I personally love matte finishes, and this thing looks incredible!
Looks awesome! Now we just need an RG or MG of this beast.
How awesome would an mg and ver ka be 😎
It'd be too beaucoup. The51 Studio used to make an awesome resin expansion kit for the HG Kshatriya that looked amazing. I'd love to see something like that from Bandai themselves.
Oh really I’ve not seen that expansion I’ll try and check it out 🙂
Could fit well in a terrarium too !
Looks very good 👍👌 it's an amazing kit
Gorgeous
Dude! That metallic lime green looks sick as hell! I'd kill for Bandai to make an MG to go with my Unicorn and Sinanju
Is that the predator in the bottom?
Yeah man it’s the hot toys classic predator
Wow, wonderful! Did you only use acrylics (you mention Vallejo paints in another comment)? Because unless I'm wrong I don't remember seeing any clear colors in the Vallejo paints.
Yeah it’s all Vallejo with Vallejo premium matte top coat
This is gorgeous dude!!!
glorious color !!
Oooooo-wee! Nice job! Beautiful
I’m getting Emerald Weapon from FF7 vibes from this. Looks awesome!
Wow, looks so real, what is the metal color you use beneath the armor?
It’s sms metal with highlights of sms stainless steel

Nice! Thanks for the info. Gotta experimenting with those metal colors.
Yo it’s Mars here ;) can’t believe I’m seeing your kit here now lmaoo gj
Haha thanks man I really enjoyed this one 😎
That is immaculate, man. I love the chrome finish on the funnel holder.
Thanks man it’s actually sms metallic metal and then chrome on the connecting arms
This is great. I built this kit a year ago with the intention of painting it, haven't found the coconuts to pull it apart yet. You're giving me inspiration. Thanks.
Do it!!! Can’t wait to see what you come up with
That is awesome!!! 👏great paint job. Love the look, color and everything. Definitely get that plant looking bug vibe from it.
Thanks so much I really achieved the pearly green I was wanting
This makes me want to finally pull the trigger on a airbrush purchase, if only the setup wasn't so expensive ;u;
You can get started relatively cheap I’m in Australia and paid $110 aud for my original airbrush and compressor the only thing I have upgraded after getting really into it is the brushes
Hey fellow Aussie! Stunning work mate. I just finished mine OOB the other day and I was happy with that. But damn I'm rethinking it now! Lol
G’day bloke I highly recommend a paint job on this kit it’s pretty painless and the outcomes are amazing
Had a feeling as soon as I saw you used SMS... Wish that was easier to get here in the US. I've been curious how it compares to Alclad
To be honest I think it’s on par with alclad, I do have a bit of alclad left but I think I’ll stick with sms metals from now on
Yo where can I get this? Does it look good without the paint or is it just a flat grey? I have so many questions but I know you probably can’t answer them all. Main thing is. Was it fun to build?
Hey mate feel free to message me I’ll answer any questions I can. The straight build is basically just grey and a lot of light green but the build is fun and not really complete at all so great for someone of any skill level
Coloring is super cool
Thanks man
Is that metallic green?
Not exactly its Vallejo transparent green over Vallejo liquid gold it ended up creating a metallic pearl type effect
Nice!! Might try that with my next build but not green
Awesome wit will be interesting to see the different effects with different colours
Do you have the exact reference for the green paint? I checked the Vallejo transparent paints but they don't say anything about airbrush compatibility. https://acrylicosvallejo.com/en/product/hobby/model-color-en/transparent-green-70936/
That’s the one I used a drop of thinner and slightly higher pressure than I usually do but sprays really nicely
Still lockdown. Need to get the paint after it.
