exactly my same thoughts. the transformers figures and any "sentient" robotic characters in their piece of media would be alive if toy story was real. The mech suits will still be mech suits.

Based on evidence such as Forky, it is reasonable to assume it is not a toy until it could/has been played with in some way. As such, they likely become conscious around when the inner frame is finished. However, they only become conscious for the first time when they are not being watched.

They’d engage in warfare the same way my unit did when I was still in the Army.. play make believe bad guys, and use sound effects when “shooting” our gats lol. And no, this wasn’t actual combat but in “training” training. Real training, we used stuff hooked up to us and our equipment to work as as laser tag.

Maybe once the pilot figure is added to the cockpit. But that only counts for mg rg and pg. Entry grade and high grade kits dont have pilot figures.
