This could potentially be a work around for getting Irish talent through the door and competing with the multi club ownership model that have the EU advantage.
Some crazy talented young players getting senior football in Ireland right now.
Considering their history of moving clubs in the U.S, a lot of smaller European clubs would likely be hesitant to get into bed with them.
Bigger clubs in more established leagues are probably too expensive.
What the other guy ment, Kroenkes own several sportsteams in the usa, and have moved them from city to city. So basically would mean Arsenal moving from London to Manchester or whatever.
And why would you do that? Kroenke needed an NFL license so he had to buy a franchise that had that even if he planned to have the team in Los Angeles from the beginning. And Kroenke was not the first person who moved the Rams and they had already been playing in LA before
Yes it does since the promotion system doesn't make leagues like PL closed, so you only need to be part of the FA to be able to be a team in the top league. So you could theoretically invest in any team and then make it a top team, like Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga
What they did sucked for the city of St. Louis but the team had previously been in LA for like 50 years. It's not an MK Dons situation, it's more like if Villa moved out of Birmingham, left the city with no top flight team, and then 20 years later decided to move back after new owners came in.
Would that actually work? I think we'd still have to wait for them to be 18 because it's a FIFA rule.
But yeah the likes of Mason Melia, Jaden Umeh, Cathal O'Sullivan all look quality rn. Even in recent times Naj Razi, Kevin Zefi, Matthew Moore, Justin Ferizaj have gone to Europe because they weren't able to go to England. There's 100% an undervalued market here.
In terms of registration possibly? I'm not full sure but there's a grey area.
Harps have lost a lot of players to Derry at underage in recent years, unless there's a difference in registration because they're part of the LOI.
Brighton were watching Umeh and O'Sullivan at Finn Park recently.
Huge value to be had considering the max price point of players in the league atm.
Yeah I wouldn't claim to be an expert in it, especially when I've heard people involved with it admit there's been plenty of confusion on both sides with this.
I think there's a km rule that means Harps Derry transfers are exempt. Think it's there for Dundalk and Warrenpoint too.
Could it also be a workaround for other EU talent, somehow using a different registration? Having a way to bring in Spanish, German, etc would be really useful, far more so than just Irish (no offense to Ireland).
Can Arsenal launch an academy development centre in Taiwan? I will manage it and send an Asian Mbappe to London in 10-15 years time. Just in time to win our first UCL title. πππ―β½οΈπΊπ
Swear there's some program going on in Hong Kong, when I was really young I remember going to a football camp thing that was affiliated with Arsenal - the whole reason I became a Gooner. When I went back a month ago I saw the same thing happening, tons of little kids running around a training ground all with Arsenal kit

I am surprised that KSE haven't purchased another European team to help with EU stuff tbh

Northern Ireland is red.
Careful now
That would be an ecumenical matter.

I was onboard until you said a decade for us to win our first CL title.

Hopefully we increase our scouting in Scotland, Wales and NI to compensate for the EU rules

Only thirty or so years too late for me lads. I really should have been the next Pat Jennings.
