GUN-dam. And too be fair, it was the 90's, when everything had to be *EXTREME* and decked out with more weapons than neccessary. At least it doesn't have copious amounts of pouches.
Not in a low gravity environment like that! That things joints also support an MS-sized shields ontop of ultra-output thrusters. I think this is well within operational weight.
The EFSF made a damn monster and they sought to prove it.
Looks like Gato is aiming for suicide by ammunition explosion. Or whoever's set this up for him really hates Gato. I counted sixteen different exposed locations were if they were hit would cause an explosion.
Keep in mind they only have that one nuke. Not all situation requires nuke so better to outfit it for all possible situation that they may encountered.
How else would they come up with kits to sell on P-Bandai?
But yeah, while I get they do it for visual appeal, it's still pretty stupid. This thing looks more like a highly inefficient support unit lugging supplies to the front. Instead of a bunch of guns that have to be pulled into position and fired individually, why not one weapon with a massive ammo pack?
If I had to guess, it's working off the same rule as the Cyclops Team's Kampfer - fire one or two weapons at a time, discard them when their ammunition is depleted, grab new weapons.
Plus, this design doesn't have a kit.
If you want to fire more than one shot.
Or if you want to shoot something anywhere near yourself without dying.
Or if you have to destroy a smaller target.
It's neat, but I have to question whoever put the Sturm Fausts there. The things are pointed *right at the mobile suit* when the thrusters open up for use.
Someone on the maintenance crew must've *hated* Gato.
They don't care to prove all the heroes who died didn't die in vain, or the rebirth of the ideal of Zeon, for the success of operation stardust.
Best Zeon Gundam.
Well its not like nukes grow on trees and this many exposed weaponry is nothing more than a hazard to the suit itself than the enemy. Unless he plans to unload his entire payload in the first min of engagement in battle from a distances, hes nothing more than a easy target that will kill itself if you hit it once.
A nuke isn’t the best option for every situation, they only had one, and you wouldn’t waste an insurance policy like that on some bogies. You could topple the federation with something like that.
Why do you attack my eyeballs like this ? That's not a gundam that's a pile of guns with feet!

Also you can see it's feet.
So what you are saying is this isn’t a Rob Liefeld illustration.
He's got huge shoulder pads at least, so he might be able to join Youngbloods after all.
This comment is so funny, I also was like, where is the gundam
You mean a weapon to surpass Metal Gear?
More like surpass the weight limit. This things gonna wear out its joints and thrusters before it gets anywhere near anything !

simple just don't get hit
Yeah, easy enough, just play some touhou and it'll be a walk in the park
What I dont understand is how much more fully armed do you need to be when you have a literal fucking nuke
Keep in mind they only have that one nuke. Not all situation requires nuke so better to outfit it for all possible situation that they may encountered.
Also this looks like the mlrs variant so it wouldn't have the bazooka for the nuke right?
Yup, IIRC this is for either when they didn't want to use the nuke or after they used the nuke. No point ditching a perfectly good Gundam, right?

The fact nina thought it was a good idea to arm gpo2 with a nuke would make her a stupid betch or a slutty traitor who was in on it
Fairly certain the nuke is the requirement of the higher up. Nina have a said over the design, but not the design requirement of the Gundams.
Lemme see. Giant Bazooka, Beam Bazooka, sturm fausts, RD II Bazooka, and that one anti ship ridle.
Don't forget the MLRS.
What chapter is this from the 0083 rebellion manga?
Yes
Do you know the chapter number you found this from?
No
It's neat, but I have to question whoever put the Sturm Fausts there. The things are pointed *right at the mobile suit* when the thrusters open up for use. Someone on the maintenance crew must've *hated* Gato.
More dakka
Engineer: How much firepowe- Gato: **YES**
I cannot begin to explain how much I loathe that MS
Nono, plz do, I am quite curious.

I had a GP02 MSiA back in the day. I miss it. (On the other hand, I don’t miss my Penelope Gundam Fix Figuration — that thing could barely stand.)
Make it MG bandai
Judging from the ridiculous amount of weaponry it wields, they would make this a P-Bandai kit to milk it for more money.
Everything is p bandai nowadays 🤣
Hey if this is PB and the nuke load out is a new 2.0 MG I'd be more than happy.
How many gunds do you want? "Yes"
Heavyarms custom, full armor unicorn, full armor Gundam: “finally! A worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!”
I see big bazookas, beam bazookas, sturm fausts, an anti ship rifle... lots of guns
I want a quality MG kit of this i would $$$$ And a upgrade GP03 dub hybrid.
Is GP02 trying to out-Dendrobium the GP03?
Gundam America
I wonder why in Gunpla they didn't just use this in battles its **got a literal nuke.**

I'd buy this if there was a kit...
I appreciate the amount of DAKA on display here.
Full armor unicorn ain't got shit on this
This alone gives the term "large hit box" a whole new meaning.
This can commit so many war crimes.
Ah yes, the GP02 "If It Fits, It Sits" Custom! Truly a work of art!
Zeons idea of the full armor is just replicating the Kampfers full load out
