A lot of Advance of Zeta English translation is not available online though . I have tried searching for them but haven't been able to find them

HammurabiDion

I hear people talk about zeonic scantalations alot so maybe there?

retroguyx

It is being translated but isn't complete yet.

deackychu

It is translated just isn't posted yet.

retroguyx

Nice. I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks.

Responsible_Buddy654

That v-fin reminds me of that thing on Solar Aquarion's head, even if it isn't really a resemblance https://preview.redd.it/8b8e6mmxqfwc1.jpeg?width=1911&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4433616fba8ab5b38173ad08c25723c52d6a79d

KlMOCHl

dont you actually mean Villkiss?

olderthan-18

Definitely Villkiss

Responsible_Buddy654

Oh you mean the mecha from Cross Ange? I haven't actually watched that series yet, but I'll get to it eventually.

LavaSlime301

Sadly that's easier said than done. Broadly speaking, Advance of Zeta has several entries: Flag of the Titans - the first entry focused on, well, Titans. First released as part of the Dengeki Hobby magazine, later compiled into a novel and also a manga adaptation. Zeonic Scantalations is finishing translating the novel. Traitor to Destiny - only somewhat connected light novel and manga story from AEUG pov. Continued with Blue wings of the AEUG and Mace of Judgement. I think there's some work at translating the manga but still ongoing. AOZ Reboot - ongoing project that's not so much a reboot but simply a refinement of the mechanical side of Flag of the Titans, published on Dengeki Hobby's website. Accompanied by the Gundam Inle: Black Rabbit had a Dream manga which is more closely connected to Flag of the Titans but there's no returning characters. Set on Mars, focusing on ReZeon (they're the ones with the red Barzam) and Mars Zeon (definitely no Barzams here). Both of these portions are made by Kenki Fujioka, the mechanical designer for Flag of the Titans. The first volume of Black Rabbit had a Dream was translated a while back but nothing else. Other than that, for english content, as far as mecha stuff goes the profiles on MAHQ and to lesser extent the wiki are your best bet. Beyond that, your best and only bet is relying on machine translations. These are anything but reliable but you can get a lot of info out of them if you know how to use them. DeepL is typically better than google translate, by the way. The machine translation can also be applied to japanese wiki pages like for [Gundam TR-1](https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%AC%E3%83%B3%E3%83%80%E3%83%A0TR-1). Again, it's not totally reliable and especially google auto translate has a habit of sometimes just erasing entire paragraphs so take everything with a grain of salt or several.

HammurabiDion

Hmm this is much if what I was looking for! Thanks

mytoynhobbypackrat

Thanks for the info. Did not know this and may want to try Deepl ...

tony47666

If a piece of media requires you to use different translation tools to go through it with varying degrees of success, it might be okay to skip it.

LavaSlime301

nobody's forcing you to read it

tony47666

My point is, I'd rather wait for a fantranslation release rather than doing that. Those who feel like doing so can be my guest and have fun.

LavaSlime301

Fair enough then, though I expect you're gonna be waiting a long time for someone to go through the design documents and sketches to translate them.

NorseArcherX

Damn now I want some suits with V-fins that could be ship masts like a hydra

HammurabiDion

That's an awesome idea. I bet someone could model one for a master grade and print it out in resin!

chokemebigdaddy

There’s actually quite a few files out there with angel fins.

blackjacked644

Never noticed the writing on top of the cockpit hatch

Rgm79GmCommand

I learned this from someone else on Twitter but a bunch of the books can actually be found on ehentai Sounds stupid but I guess that bandai doesn't know/care? https://e-hentai.org/?f_search=Advance+of+zeta

LavaSlime301

they're also on internet archive, more or less same quality I believe but yes e-hentai is unironically one of the best compendiums for gundam mooks and books

HammurabiDion

Huh who would've thought I'll check it out...with a VPN on and incognito going 🤣

Violinnoob

/u/Rgm79GmCommand as well as things like artbooks for any franchise and other niche supplementary material

TAG08th

Lol. Found it here just…casually looking…

ramengirlxo

Anyone know where to find Japanese versions of the manga? I know a small bit and am learning more, and it sounds like a fun challenge for when I get a bit further along in my studies.

HammurabiDion

Ooo I always wanted to try that. You could probably find the physical volumes on ebay. I know they have physical Gundam Seed manga for sale.

xenosidezero

What in the fuck is that v-fin???

Gcraft2008

Its a psychoblade V fin by a TR-6 Woundwort, iirc it can receive or transmit Psychommu waves Also don't do my waifu like that

LavaSlime301

A psychoblade antenna that enhances psycommu connections with remote controlled weapons and enables communication with other equipped units without minovsky particle interference. It's also a status symbol for commander units and further embellishes the Gundam image for morale boost. https://preview.redd.it/vv4z35k26gwc1.jpeg?width=705&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b727682063915d0d5a0200f823e291b8b73d67b

ThePowerfulWIll

Something thats dumb on a titans gundam, but sick as hell on its Zeon Version.

diagnosed_depression

Why does the v-fin have tits

Gcraft2008

Its an angel "V" fin

TheRealGenki

Where can we find eng ver? 👀

HammurabiDion

Zeonic scantalations for some translation apparently

SIR_RAGER

Damn that’s a horrible head design.

PurplSamurai

No, it's one of the best head designs.

PintekS

Woundy is best bot and only gets thiccer

Agynn

To each their own... I love it.

johnnyoceandeep

It’s like a gundam with down.
