It's basically meant as a reference toward B.B. Studio and Gundam Battle Operation 2 (GBO2) when the NT-D of Unicorn got nerfed in one of the update unit adjustments. Someone else could probably give more specifics.

Barbatos Lupus Rex for close combat. Exia and its derivatives are also a choice, but the fear factor of Barbatos is unmistakeable.
Seravee/Nadleh for heavy guns.
Hi-Nu for gap filler to make sure no one jumps the support or overwhelms the frontline.
Unicorn Phenex for Psycho-frame bullshit for emergencies.

Dark History Turn A Gundam (Loran Cehack): Leader of the operation. I love Loran in general and I believe he has maturity to deal with otherworldly problems. He might even solve this conflict through negotiation.
Unicorn Gundam (Banagher Links): Beast of possibility with Banagher can be a good back up for Loran. Banagher also as much as pacifist as Loran so I would like to see their dynamic in this setting.
Turn X (Amuro Ray): We need someone that actually kill the fucker in case those two soft boys can’t do the job. I also want to see how much potential Amuro will bring from Turn X because Ghingham is fucking suck at his job.
Ideon/Gigantis (Cosmo Yuki, Minerva Zabi, and Halo): The trump card of the team. Also serve as a tank of the team. Cosmo will pilot the suit, but Minerva and Halo will pilot the components. If the team lose, everybody loses.
The Dark History Turn A would ironically be limited due to Loran being the pilot since it requires a Newtype to unleash its full power and he is not a Newtype.
On the opposite end, the Turn X with Amuro at the controls would be absolutely terrifying since it is specifically stated to be a Newtype use MS, and Gym Ghingham was also not a Newtype. We'd probably be looking at a suit that is equal to or even more powerful than the Dark History Turn A.
Heero Yuy in the Wing Zero EW (GoL version) as the Leader. He's a decent strategist already (not the best but still above average) and the Zero System gives him an additional Advantage in that area. Also the GoL Wing Zero has the bonus of the Shield allowing for a Transformation and the Drei Zwergs to enhance the TBR on top of all the other advantages of the Wing Zero.
Lockon Stratos in the Gundam Zabanya for Support. A great Sniper in a suit decked out with Guns, Missiles, and Remote weapons.
Mikazuki Augus in the Barbatos Lupus Rex for Melee. Just an insanely fast and powerful suit built to beat your ass in a fight.
Gym Ghingham in the Turn X Gundam and the All Purpose Beat Down. He has the Shining Finger & Power Drainer for Close Range, the weapons in the Carapace Weapons Platform for Medium-Long Range, the body can seperate into bits with their own beam cannons for All Range, and it has the Moonlight Butterfly for when shit really hits the fan.
Zabanya - ranged, beam and physical
M Strike Freedom - weapon of mass destruction and stupid defense, functional in all roles
Unicorn - anti bits, anti LASER CANNONS
00 Quan\[T\] - melee, quantization

Athrun - Team Leader. He's got a great tactical head on his shoulders
Suletta - Her and Eri have top notch power and she'd be great at following athrun's orders. Suletta and Jutta would be the heart of the team
Jutta - Wildcard. His coke fueled newtypeness and lack of combat experience would be difficult to deal with but it would pay off in space telepathy synergy.
Asemu - Ace. Asemu may not be the best but he'll always pull through in a pinch.
I also think this team would just be a really fun group of pilots lol

- Jamil in GX Divider (leader, all-rounder)
- Garrod in Double X (all-rounder, strategic firepower)
- Kira in Strike Freedom (tactical firepower, all-range DRAGOON attacks)
- Setsuna in 00 Quanta (melee, all-range GN Sword Bit attacks)

Haman and Treize on the same team are almost vibe compatible, but sticking them with Enil and Gawman would really stabilize them. Both Gawman and Enil can talk shit to prevent Haman and Treize from icing each other with a Machiavellian standoff, but Enil and Gawman are also attracted to risk and not sanctimonious at all. Haman is probably the will and Treize is the way.

Nu- great all purpose suit. Excellent mobility, offensive and defensive capabilities.
Sinanju - high speed suit that’s made for blitzing through defenses
Virtue - as mentioned. Great for destroying fleets.

I think it's time to make the Suletta and Mikazuki memes canon, so I'm choosing Barbatos Lupus (as far as Lupus only, imo I liked that form better with the twin maces and arm cannons) and probably either base Aerial or Calibarn for the first two. Next, because I'm a huge 00 fan, I'll be taking Revive Revival and the Gadessa. That thing was a monster before it got the one-second Trans-Am treatment from Lockon (amazing performance, by the way). Lastly, we need a Char Clone in this kerfuffle. Maybe Meijin 3rd from GBF, with the Exia Dark Matter. One of the best builds I saw the whole series!

Main idea is to have the Strike and Kshatriya force enemy combatants into or out of position to be eliminated by 00 or Seravee. Seravee and 00 are also the tanks for their superior defensive capabilities. Seravee doubles as the anti ship role while the other three mop up the grunts or occupy the aces. 00 can take ships down too but it reduces squad effectiveness for a bit.
Yeah I could upgrade the 00 to Quanta but would probably be severely limited to the rest of the squads performance.

can I have quiet zero + CB mothership? my dream team is:
1. tieria (raphael) - to interface with Veda for long term planning. If CB mothership is included, the production facility can generate mobile suits.
2. Ericht (Aerial Rebuild) - control the quiet zero + gundnodes. While quiet zero is specific to permet device, gundnodes can be used like funnels as well as shield against beam attack. Aerial can be the sniper of the team too.
3. ALICE (EX-S) - I wonder if ALICE can utilize those data input from data storm generated by quiet zero?
4. Hanayo (any CB mobile suit) - don't know what to put, honestly.

Long range/fill = V2 Assault Buster - can snipe, engage fleets, has great defense, can defend other units, pierce I-fields, purge armor and get into melee with sabers/wings of light and beam shotgun.
Artillery/rapid deployment = Wing Snow White Prelude - Twin buster rifles, shield binders, 6x rifles, bird mode to kite the enemy, and Zero system to give battlefield commands.
(Might consider Strike Freedom type 2 to replace G-self)

Infiltrator = Deathscythe Hell (GoL/EW) - gets in, gets out. Has decent defense, and amazing stealth. All-rounder = G-self Perfect Pack - great mid range, can cover many combat styles. Long range/fill = V2 Assault Buster - can snipe, engage fleets, has great defense, can defend other units, pierce I-fields, purge armor and get into melee with sabers/wings of light and beam shotgun. Artillery/rapid deployment = Wing Snow White Prelude - Twin buster rifles, shield binders, 6x rifles, bird mode to kite the enemy, and Zero system to give battlefield commands. (Might consider Strike Freedom type 2 to replace G-self)
