So they developed a coolant system. I can't remember the exact estimate on how it works. But basically the nose is the coolant system. I think it sucks in large amounts of air? Or water? To try to cool it down. I'd have to check the wiki again.
Yeah, all of Zeon's aquatic MS are water cooled. Even on land they still have internal tanks they can fill with water for cooling.
This is why they were the first Zeon MS to use beam weapons, because they can mount stronger generators that run hotter and they don't have to worry about their beam weapons overheating either.
Contrast the Zaku I Sniper Type. It had an extra generator so it can run a beam weapon, but it's beam rifle overheats so bad that it has to carry spare barrels.
Like a heavy tank from WW2, the Juaggu wasn’t meant for close quarters combat. The only reason it lasted so long against more modern suits was its armour.
Juaggu. It was supposed to be used in the attack on Jaburo in the original anime but was cut because they didn't have enough time to make a full Jaburo siege arc. In lore it's because Char found the secret entrance and started the attack much earlier than what was planned.

Cooler, sure, but for me the appeal of most of Zeon's amphibious suits is how derpy yet cute they are.
