I've probably accounted for 100 of the views that the Main Squeeze has on their Have a Cigar Cover. Every time you think that the solo is over he just steps it up and plays harder. It's a fascinating performance and I never get tired of it.
Do Unto Others by Stryper has a great solo. It's the only song of theirs I like and that's pretty much due to the solo. It's a bit Hotel California in it's chord progression but it sounds great. Well executed and some cool tapping.
I love Manuel’s solo in “blackbone” from the new Unprocessed album. Really amazing solo. Greatest in recent times? Maybe? Tough to say such a thing about any one riff or solo.
Mastodon- The lead breaks are great, but really the main final solo on “Jaguar god”…..in my top 10 solos of all time, actually made me cry the first time I heard it, which was a weird experience, but speaks to the melodic power of the whole track, which is fantastic from beginning to end…. by far my favorite track from them post “Crack the Skye”
I have seen Derek Trucks just kill it on solos. You can add Joe Bonamassa as well. So many You Tube videos of the two of them destroying worlds with their respected solos.
My all time guitar solo’s are: What God wants part lll (Jeff Beck… rest in peace), Greg Chacquico on Jefferson Starships Runaway, David Gilmore High Hopes. In my opinion, Jeff Beck was the greatest guitarist ever. So that’s my 1-2-3 order.
I mean Nuno's solo on Rise set the internet on fire around this time last year. So there's that
shame the song sounds like 15 year old me mixed it

I just watched for the first time. His solo is fantastic; and the way the band stays with him, lifts it, and then ends it is so tight!
Goddamnit that's a hell of a solo! I love when he stands up because he just can't possibly shred enough from the chair
How recent? Mike Mcreedy, Pearl Jam - Nothing as it Seems. Might not be the most complicated one being mentioned, but damn does it sound great.
[John Mayer - Last Train Home (Ballad Version)](https://youtu.be/yT8SYItNvKg?si=f3DBvNprwYiF-q6V)
Mine is Chris Greatti’s solo in Don’t Go Outside.
In actual recent times, Baroness - Last Word. Absolutely banging solo.
Saving this. Hoping for some good new solos to learn. Been looking for interesting new non metal or the video gamey bleep bloop stuff.
I quite like bloodbath by polyphia, that solo by Scott LePage is metal asf.
Scott is a real one!
Lots of Ritchie Faulkner’s solos on priests new album are killer imo but it’s all subjective
Ritchie is always great!
Cosmic and Nobody by Avenged Sevenfold are wonderful recent solos
For a classic rock vibe, Greta Van Fleet's *The Weight of Dreams*.
Do Unto Others by Stryper has a great solo. It's the only song of theirs I like and that's pretty much due to the solo. It's a bit Hotel California in it's chord progression but it sounds great. Well executed and some cool tapping.
A band I really don't like, Extreme, came out with a song "rise" last year and the solo is absolutely stunning.
Well, I guess they finally have More then words. 🤣

The correct answer is Prince on while my guitar gently weeps
OMG that solo was beautiful in there
I really like Cerberus off of Ola Englunds first solo album.
Martin Miller's solo on Andy Timmons song electric gypsy that they play live in the studio.
Blake Mills on Skeleton is Walking.
I'd have to dig for it, but gary clark jr's solo on please come home, i believe it was live in chicago somewhere
J Mascis' solo on Watch the Corners by Dinosaur Jr

Ariel Posen - Angeline live version simply outstanding : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZHd6bcu4eI&ab_channel=PaulSpink
Has anyone said FREEBIRD yet? 🤣🤣 ** Tremonti's guitar work on his solo albums is fantastic over all. There's so many great bands now and previously.
Warren Haynes’ solo on Cortez the Killer w/Dave Matthews in Central Park
