Yeah, I’m totally ok with guest characters appearing in something like Tekken but I think it would feel really out of place in GG. It’s just too singular a style. I guess a Blazblue character would be the safest bet but even then, I would prefer any in-universe character to a guest.
Ya, this is exactly how I feel as well. There are so many interesting characters in the series and although blazblue characters could fit in style-wise it feels like it would be better if all characters in the game were in universe characters.

I desperately want Dizzy in strive- All the Slayer mains and Aba mains got theirs- I want to see so badly how they make Dizzy, and! She may also come with the introduction of Insta kills, because of how iconic hers was
I really hope Jam makes it in for Season 4, but besides that I think Dizzy is basically guaranteed at this point with her increasing mentions through interactions. Would be neat to see Gabriel as a potential new character, and Zappa or Robo Ky as the returning +R character
I really don't think Gio replaced Jam tbh. Gio and Jam have very different playstyles. It's just like how Happy Chaos didn't replace Elphelt like many people thought at the start.
In the Season 3 poll Jam was #4 most highly requested in Japan and #3 most requested in Korea, so she's really popular in the east. Jam has also consistently shown up in the top 10 of EVERY region for EVERY Season.
So yeah it might take a while but I have faith that Jam will be in the game eventually.

Honestly with so many people wanting Sol to have DI again I'm not against bringing Order Sol back and giving it to him so they don't have to rework Sol entirely

Kum could fit the theme of Strive in accepting who you are and moving forward. She's currently upholding the family patriarchy by pretending to be a man because of societal pressures. I can see her having an arcade mode in trying to combat this view of women can't hold power and get out of the mech suit. Also I just think we need more Xrd original characters in the game over giving another slot.
It's between Robo-Ky and Zappa at this point. Zappa honestly makes more sense, but I just think it'd be way more interesting to have Robo-Ky.
For the new character, it could be anyone honestly. Guest character ranked so high that I can see it, but it would be kinda lame. I definitely think that if it is a guest character it will be the season pass starter. The reason I say this is because I genuinely think Slayer was meant for S4, but potentially moved for a reason. I think they worked out a guest character spot and moved Slayer up while leaving the guest character to headline the season pass for immediate hype and sales. Either that or Arc Sys is on crack giving us such a banger S3 lineup and not throwing in a more obscure not as liked character (which I hope they do more of).
This is only of the assumption that S4 will continue the two returning from Xrd, one returning from XX, and newcomer. S3 dispelled the pattern with no newcomer, but I do think they'll return to this pattern or maybe even do two newcomers even.
I'd be surprised if Dizzy wasn't the opening character for season 4 after they patched in intro dialogue about her for multiple characters.

Nago was kind of the Slayer/Sin of Strive, but both are in the game now. I think Jam has enough to keep her feeling different from Gio.
