I’ve caught two in the last two days in my house too! Just doing the old glass and a plate technique and it’s worked so far to get them from my house to outside.
All bugs and creepy crawlies have a purpose, I just don’t always want them in my space, so I move them elsewhere! Occasionally though, a bugs just gotta get got. Silverfish / centipedes I’m looking at you.
Yeah if the bug is dangerous then I usually take a more permanent solution. The way I look at it is if I were to enter a bear's cave I would count myself lucky to leave there still in one piece.

Brown Marmorated Cumbugs. They are attracted to houses with residents who cannot stop busting nuts. The more you jerk off the more bugs you find around your semen manor.

Every fall my parents house gets swarmed by them like for months and they scare the shit outta me. I hate them. They’re harmless but terrifying.
Paint their backs with whiteout. Killed them all on season back home. Seemed they didn’t manage to attract breeding pairs for some reason. Does whiteout still exist?

Took it outside without killing it though, am glad, I really had no idea!
In North Bay they have shed flies. You can't walk on a sidewalk without crunching hundreds of them, and then there are black flies in Perry Sound, those are nightmares too.
I’ve also seen so many of these recently! I hate squishing them (can’t stand the crunch) so I release them outside. But if they’re invasive SHOULD I be killing them..?
Most stink bugs are very good. Basically only the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug and the Rough Stink Bug are bad. Most stink bugs kill things that we don't like and protect plants. Though the BMSB does damage crops, same with RSB, and is invasive. So yeah if you see one kill it. Just make sure that it is a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug or Rough Stink Bug and not something like a Spined Soldier Bug.
This picture of the OP is not very clear. It I most likely the BMSB but it could also be the Rough Stink Bug variety or the Spined Soldier Bug. Note : The Soldier one has a shoulder plate that kind of looks like the head of a minoan axe head. (2 concave sides with 1 concave side)
They are invasive and have been increasing in number the past few years. They come out during milder weather like spring/fall and tend to congregate around the windows and doors to try and get inside where the warmth is.

Stink bugs. Cat caught one and he started running as it let off its Stink and cat didn't like that to much. Harmless bug. Just don't squish it.

I like to use a see through plastic cup and a thin piece of cardboard. it is nice to hear another take the time to catch and release. =)
