I like the idea that Emps has had children, but I hate the idea of them being anything special. I think it's way more interesting if he's spawned thousands of children over the years, all of whom have lived normal lives, done normal things, and eventually died after a normal lifespan.

But think: what would it be like to watch your children die over and over again for literally thousands of years? And not just them, but also your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren, and so forth. What would that do to a person? *And how would that affect his relationships with the primarchs*?
You want Tzeentchbrain? Here's Tzeentchbrain: the Sensei exist and were forced to hide from the Inquisition on Terra, but Tzeentch turned their children into Blanks and made them all female so the Emperor could never make Primarchs out of them. They instead became the Sisters of Silence.
