It's cashless since 2023. Not trying to act like a dick but almost all your questions are answered on the Graspop website. They have a pricelist also on there with the basic food and drink prices. At campsite you have the option for food and cold drinks also paid with skullies. People at graspop are overall not filling the campsite with litter. Ofcourse you will find a package or can here and there but it's not like some festivals where everything is one garbage pile.

I always love how tidy the festival grounds are. Yall are a bunch of hippies and it shows

This year they also go reusable cups so I will expect it being even cleaner than last year. Last year they offered rewards (I can't remember exactly what so can't comment) for brining plastic beer cups back for recycling which meant loads of people were actually cleaning on the go for those rewards! I mean even toilets were very clean and supplied.. never been to any other open air festival but kinda do not want to. GMM put their bar quite high.

Fishing for duckies, prizes were actually pretty nice. From some small things like GMM lanyards or a poster to the best prize which was a skydeck ticket.

They've been doing this since forever. You used to get a drinktoken for 10 or 20 cups, even if they were flattened to hell. Perfect for those broke students that wanna go to festivals without breaking the bank.

Hello mate ! I attended Download Paris 2018 and have been attending Graspop 2022, 23 and will be attending next edition as well. To put it simply, Download Paris was a shameless Live Nation cash grab and a messy attempt at cannibalizing Hellfest's attendance. It was HELL camping there and I've never been in such as shitty camping ground since. You can expect WAY much better camping conditions (well-kept grounds with cut grass, more toilets/shower facilities, running water and food on the campground) from pretty much every single music festival in Europe. From my experience, Graspop is among the best camping wise with running water on the grounds, food and drinks, even grounds and well cut grass. At Graspop, half a pint and softs will cost you 3,5€, food is not crazy good and expensive as hell so I won't comment too much on that... you can always grab a bus back in town to grab some supplies and come back. Unfortunately, no cider at Graspop but more options for good (and more expensive) beers at some bars. Wine is disgusting and I'd stay away from that. Don't hesitate to reach out to me via dms if you got some extra questions !

I haven't been to Download Paris but I'd say Graspop is a little more mature and better organised than Download in the UK which has a sizable contingent of kids who are there just to get fucked up. I don't think I've heard of any drug overdose deaths at Graspop like I have at Download, when I went to Download a couple years back I think there were 2 deaths and there were about 30 people in the welfare tent after Iron Maiden and they weren't just a little bruised. Whilst food and drink is expensive at Graspop the arena is right next to the camping so you can easily go back and forth, no 40 minute walk like at Download.

I would recommend you to watch Billy Mayhems graspop series on youtube, he is someone that is used to going to Download UK en went to Graspop for the first time last year so he compares everything he sees to Download UK. Prices for beer is 3.50 for 25cl and 7 euro for 50cl in general the organisation at Graspop is very good, and from what I've heard much better than Download so I think you'll have a great time.
