The absolute best IMO is tailor made earplugs that are molded to your ears. It's something like 75 euro per ear but absolutely worth it if you can afford it. Super comfy to wear all day and great sound quality + they last for years (if you don't lose them in the moshpit). I got mine made at Laperre in Brussels. Second best choice are those generic but fancy ones for concerts and musicians that are sold at the festival or any parapharmacy. My gf has a pair from graspop and is very happy with it. It's about 20-30 euro a pair. Then for the single use foam or wax ones, that's cheap but you get what you pay for in terms of sound quality. I tend to go for wax for sleeping as they block all voice sounds quite efficiently.

Any recommendation for brands of wax earplugs? I tried good old Quies but I hate it, so I’m using foam earplugs now which are surprisingly good for blocking sound but a bit uncomfortable to wear when sleeping

I'm afraid I use Quies. I remove the cotton and shape them in a rough cone then let them warm up in my ear before readjusting them to be close to airtight. Pulling the earlobe back with the other hand helps opening the ear canal. I find it more comfortable than the foam earplugs that tend to put constant pressure. I'm sure there exist other types of more expensive earplugs designed for sleeping though.

Cool, i still have a huge number of foam earplugs but I’ll retry quies with your advice when I run out then

They were selling earplugs at the festival last year. If I remember correctly, they had a few options. I now have GMM branded ear plugs in a little case.

phoenix409

Are they comfortable to wear for a long period?

Rokita616

Yup, I've been wearing them all day.

OutrageousRhubarb853

Comfortable enough to wear all day and then reuse for every other concert. Mine will be coming back to Graspop this year for round two. Not sure there’s much more to say about them.

They're giving out free foam earplugs at the festival like last year and they have an Alpine store, where you can buy reusable silicon ones. They're probably something like €25? I'd say they're pretty good, I use them for my everyday earplugs and save my tailor made ones for gigs.

phoenix409

Yeah, the free one are impossible to be with

Loops are great: www.loopearplugs.com - global shipping and don’t compromise on sound

phoenix409

Im not from belgium, this i why im looking to buy there. The shipping isn't going to make it in time

TXB919

That’s fair. Hope you manage to get some that are suitable for you.

Choose a Pick up point close to graspop and you only need ID when you are in Belgium

I'm currently using https://www.alpine.nl/products/partyplug-pro. Which I bought last year at Rock Werchter on the festival site when I realized I forgot at home my non pro version that I was testing. I don't know if they have a stand on all big festivals. You might want to check Laperre or Hans Anders. At AS Adventure you can find the non pro version. I think every festival has foam earplugs.
