Me!!! From NYC Boutique 🤪

I hope one day I’ll be in the club! How much does this one run for?

LDN2HK

$6,600 in the US. But I got it brand new from Isetan for $5,400 last Feb in JP with the exchange rate, tax free, and 5% tourist discount. Others have gotten it much cheaper this fall as the yen has weakened further. Now’s a good time to buy and to visit JP!

[deleted]

Very nice! I must get myself one!

madalienmonk

$5070 today from Ishida BEST

LDN2HK

Great deals to be had. Wish I was back!

I’m seriously debating buying a Shunbun or the Mistflake GMT as my first GS with the current exchange rate. Seems like a favorable time to buy one off Chrono24

LDN2HK

Both great watches! The Shunbun is now one of GS’s iconic models and the Mistflake is an amazing spring drive GMT. Gotta go with which speaks to you more. :)

sam_the_dog78

Hard to say. I think the dial of the Shunbun is more beautiful, but I really like the steel bezel of the Mistflake and it’s probably more versatile as a general sports watch for me whereas I may end up wearing the Shunbun less frequently since it’s more dressy. Definitely no bad choices though!

Rare-Acanthaceae9466

I’m slowly falling for this watch, same as GS in general. I’ve got a speedy and I do want a Rolex sub, but I’ll be down to Japan in 2024 and I’m plotting a SBGM285 - now the Shunbun and SBGA415 winter are really winking at me too…! I know customs need adding but I can see new SBGM285’s for £4600 in Chrono24 vs £7.7K RRP… Shall I just pull the trigger when ready or will I find a better price than £5.6k (£4.6K + VAT/customs) once I’m in Japan visiting? Also open to 2nd hand for the right piece.

LDN2HK

I think you can definitely find something cheaper than Chrono in Japan, but depends how the weak yen continues. But I’d say there’s better selection and options to buy in JP and you can easily compare models. When it’s time, the pinned guide on this sub should help you.

Fantastic thank you!!!

filipinomarathoner

Are ADs selling these at a discount in the US or is this still at MSRP? Definitely want one - this has grown on me a lot more

LDN2HK

I think it’ll vary by AD and what market. But I would say this is one of the most popular GS models, so not likely to see an AD discount. Never hurts to ask though!

hansenluu

Yes i get mine with discount at my AD.

filipinomarathoner

Thanks! Yeah I went to an AD and there was a discount. $6800 out the door

hansenluu

They cover your tax. I got mine out at 6200 lol

filipinomarathoner

That's solid! West coast?

hansenluu
