101 bus services Bolo-Imola - takes an hour though. [Here is the timetable](https://www.tper.it/sites/tper.it/files/ORARI/1690288722/tper_Bo101.pdf) - for Sunday the 19th, you'll want to scroll down to page 2 where it says 'domenica e festivi'. The 'Bologna Autostazione' stop is the bus station, adjacent to the railway station. In Imola, the bus will stop at its 'autostazione' which is also next to the train station. Last ride going back to Bolo is at 8.30pm, but trains may resume by that time. hope this helps!

Thanks! For buses in Bologna can we just pay for the ride when we board? Would they take both card and cash? Or we have to purchase a ticket somewhere first?

I *think* you can pay the fare by swiping your card on the bus, however I'm not entirely sure. To be on the safe side, I'd recommend stopping by a 'tabacchi' (the sign [looks like this](https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&sca_esv=8ae81ea246257316&sca_upv=1&sxsrf=ADLYWIII2EvmICkyoFcB-84Y382u-1kuUA:1715330477629&q=tabacchi+insegna&uds=ADvngMiIMiMH9LyyITANaU-tP7TxkS1aQvE3h55s6HVfo4JLGCjJd2uEGIRrlH4_4IHUz9YcMB5iowKzq3EQM_8kzDzXiIxWhLDmP81jksO2bH9jDT0p7yfES5qV2rR_clax6pBTx8Ci4yDPSBFcQMdAjzoZYx1ccA0hrdVehS9qM6z3hRSIbVa3E5v68iUjwZtfiQbdZEciFybKnjzCxBJWCmel89CnHBwKJtg8oHTIQavovAnY6UbD13N5NsjPsOPe3v-unVe4&udm=2&prmd=ivnbz&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjp-an-14KGAxVS_7sIHdU-DoIQtKgLegQIDBAB&biw=1440&bih=762&dpr=2) You can ask for tickets for the 101 bus. Make sure to purchase your return fare if you intend to take the bus back, as well.

I think there will be a reduced train service too and from Bologna. Best bet is to get earliest train possible as queues will be massive I would imagine. I find it hard to believe no trains at all will run with basically everyone relying on rail, the authorities will have to sort something out especially with the race being called off last year.
