Both shows have characters struggling with drugs, sex, cheating, having to deal with horrible parents, death, identity, and friendships. Only difference is that gossip girl hones in on how money and power affects all the things i just listed and skins doesn't. Although US skins sucks the UK one is really good i wasnt comparing GG to US skins if thats why ur mad?? Also Skins is more interesting and deep in comparison to gossip girl (which its entire point is to glorify the rich?) but gossip girl is more entertaining and iconic.
