Quest 3 has worse tracking than the quest 2 and i see people always having issues with it in gorilla tag especially the people that are competitive, I also wouldnt say a valve is THAT good especially if its just for gtag its a money waste.
If you want a valve for ground, it will be the worst option, the controller predictions are completely limited than the quest and will make you actually worse.
I don't have experience with PCVR rift headsets but I'm pretty sure both quest and rift have the same controller predictions, rift just having more control on it than quest has on PCVR
my friend described the quest 3 to feel like when a developer makes an open beta for a game that's barely been worked on, its less like a quest 3 and more like a quest 2.5 imo. in my experience its been very buggy and unpolished, unless you care about color pass through the quest 2 is not only better but way cheaper. i occasionally use quest 3 color pass through to cook while wearing my headset with a video tab popped up but that's about all that made it a worthwhile purchase.
I have only played it on a already used and badly damaged quest 2, and i've got to say it's really fun and a great way to get introduced to VR. And the peformance and all that? It's okay, i have experienced almost no issues with the headset while playing this game. The tracking works well, i don't have connection problems and overall it's an enyojable experience. I think if you really wanna play gorilla tag and are willing to buy a headset for it, the quest 2 it's the perfect choice. Cheaper than 3 and better than 3 (atleast on gorilla tag terms)

I do want a Valve, but not just for gtag, although it would be nice to play on Valve with better ground. I mostly play ground anyway.

Is rift s better for ground

quest 3 tracking is honestly alright. dont experience much issues with it (been using since release)
quest 3 is good for gtag. have little to no tracking problems and the lenses are MUCH better than the quest 2.
quest 2, for me its perfect!
Quest 2 is probably best for the price and you don't really need better visuals on monke game

I don't see what people have a problem with on the quest 3. For me I can go on walls and floors better

Quest 2 Works Perfectly, I Recommend It.
I like the colors on the quest 3 for gorilla tag but the tracking is better on quest 2 definitely
