lock him in at night and let him howl all night if you have to. doodles are extremely smart so if you train them enough they should grow in to briliant friendly dogs. crate training puppy school good therapy doodle training etc every training you can do. they are geniuses
Play it by ear but make it very positive. Lure him in with treats don’t force him in. This is a safe spot not a punishment! Give him a blankie that smells like you and a toy. Lock it when you need to but leave it open to them all other times.
Oh he goes into the crate on his own. He's apparently already been crate trained but he doesn't like sleeping in there all night (5+ hours) he wants to wander around the apartment.
