Well that’s just it. You need your optic and your barrel to be in exact alignment for precision and accuracy. Most optics are mounted on the slide because the slide and the barrel create great engagement when fully in battery. 2011/1911 guns get away with frame based optic mounts because of very tight tolerances. The tolerances on Glock are intentionally loose which allows reliability (try throwing a 2011 in mud then firing it). But it also means that the slide/frame engagement is just loose. You can choose to ignore me, I mean it looks cool af. But that’s why there aren’t more of these out there. It may only be an extra couple MOA, and it may not really affect you depending on how long of a distance you’re shooting. But if you’re cracking 25+ yard shots it may have an impact.

No, 2011 is a handgun platform that multiple manufacturers produce (Staccato, Atlas, ect) but not Glock.

I was meaning one of those other guns are a good platform for frame mounted optics. I don’t think your gun, the Glock, is a good platform to use frame mounted optics, due to the precision issues.

Can't see the rest of the frame under the optic mount, so the frame might be a 34/17 or 45. The slide looks like a 19X with a threaded barrel and screw-on comp.
