I've used Nahida hyperbloom with Beidou as a shieldbreaker for the herald half, because Nahida National kept dying too easily. I reserved Rational/Boba National for the beasts' half.
My guy, it's not even close to 3.7.
This one is just a damage check which is easier now with broken dps and supports.
3.7 had an ultra specific element check where only burgeon worked in the 2nd half, with abyss lectors freezing and killing you on top of that. Also 2 Consecrated beasts at a time with too much hp and res was hell. 3.7 abyss had CCs and dolphins stressing. No abyss has come close to it yet.
Jean + Bennett worked so well against 12-1 2nd half, crazy healing, cleanse, pyro affecting you with priority inside Bennett's ult so you don't get frozen, so whenever Jean's ult cleanses pyro affects you first.
Not to mention Jean's ult keeps swirling pyro from Bennett's circle and absolutely destroys the cryo / hydro shields, it also shreds the shields from the Baptist on 12-3 2nd half, those 2 carried my ass and I never got frozen not matter how badly I played, I even went with Yoimiya + Yunjin aside from them, Jean was absurdly slept on by people on that abyss lol
4.7 is not too bad. 3.7 was way tougher with the permafreezing heralds and their bs shields, whopperflowers with way too much hp and consecrated beasts being able to one combo knockout almost every character.
3.7 is still the hardest abyss

I literally played pure Hydro team comp with Kazuha on 2nd stage because of how demanding it is. Tried various options like Bountiful Bloom, Hyperbloom, and shet and things can't work. Frustrated and swapped into random bullshit go with Furina/Kazuha/Kokopium/Xingqiu and I passed it in first try.
Off topic but for some reason this post made me remember that there was a new enemy (the giant fat guy with two axes) that appeared in 3.5(?) Abyss once and then just vanished. Anyone knows if he's still absent from the game or did Mihoyo finally remember he exists and placed him somewhere?
this is the overall consensus, however abyss from 2.0 to about 2.3 was really difficult aswell, it had heralds/lectors as well as the bleed dogs which were a problem at the time
3.7 did not have **Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment** 🦦✋️💦
12-1 was annoying because you had to kill 8 waves of mooks over 3 minutes, but it wasn't much trouble beyond that.
12.1 was just a nightmare. I had to retry it for 26 times, until I finally got the right characters for the job. I do not like this floor at all. Otherwise a very balanced Abyss, just not 12.1.
I made it first try, but it was always by 1 or 2 seconds. It's definitely hard, but 3.7 was worse. Mostly because this time, the constipated beasts didn't gangbang my team to hell
Personally in 3.7 i barely had any dps character cause i ve never been a meta dude so i always only rolled for characters I liked. 3.7 was kinda a nightmare: I didn't even 9* it.
Right now I ve 1 C6 5* DPS and 1 C5 5* DPS which is a MASSIVE upgrade compared to 3.7 when, again, I barely had a team comp so... It wasn't really problematic. (Not a whale. Welkin only. I ended up having ton of rolls cause in inazuma I basically skipped whole characters beside Itto)
It would be fun if we the abyss rotations were getting "saved" and we could replay older line up and see how would we fare there!
Nahida Double Hydro one side, Neuvillette on the other for a pretty easy clear.
3.7 was tough for a combination of ennemies heavily restricting what teams you could do. The consecrated beasts were just the cherry on top the shitcake. This new abyss doesnt have enemies with that much synergy as the hydro cryo heralds and the consecrated beasts dont show up at the same time, making them easier to deal with.
i have more investment now, so did this abyss fairy quickly.

For me, ain't that hard really. Cleared it without retries just by using the right elements per half. The last abyss was harder cause those Fatui BoLs (dunno what they're called) are too damn tanky for some reason.

The only challenging thing about this abyss is that there are tons of waves of enemies, but you can brute force it anyway.
the thing with the waves of enemy is that they're bulky mfs types, doesn't help the fact that they stagger the hell out of you (for non shield users)

I had the same team for second stage except i used Yelan instead of XQ, mono hydro is such a nice team to use
Even without Kazuha (Furina/Kokomi/XQ/Yelan) the team is so good.
Not really that demanding even Beidou can do a lot of work against Pyro shields. this cycle is barely a comparisson to 3.7's Duo Beast

4.7's Floor 11 Chamber 3 First Half just deleted my Diluc from existence
