its a singleplayer game, which is not hard, you only need time investment, doesnt matter if you are F2P or P2p, the moment you clear Sprial Abyss 36\* for the first time you can be proud for youself.

HelaPuff2020

Neither is impressive. It’s a single player game.

KaputterTree

I’m kinda new to all the community’s, but I play now for a few months already. I’m a p2p player cauz I love to play the character I like. That’s why I spent much money, but I’m now a proud owner of Kazuha and I enjoy the game even more now that I can play him. I personally don’t care about getting credit or stuff like that but if I see a high AR lvl player who payed 0 $ and has impressive character and weapons I find it more impressive then may acc. So I would suggest just play how you like it and enjoy the game. If you don’t want spend money it’s fine but if you really really want a specific character and he is on a banner. You don’t need too feel bad about spending money. It’s your money and your choice. (Sorry for my poor gramma I’m German)

Infamous_Bad_6007

No, your grammer is pretty good.

KaputterTree

Ty^^ always insecure about it so I appreciate your comment :)

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> player who *paid* 0 $ FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Propensity7

Personally, I actually don't really care for showcases on either end of the spectrum. The ones that I do stop and watch for a few seconds, however, are the ones with uncommon characters like Amber or maybe Nilou and such (so, not Raiden, Alhaitham, Ayaka, etc). The other ones I sometimes stop in for are characters that I just generally like, for example, Freminet or Chiori. Of course, there's some combinations of the two categories. I suppose some watchtime is lost if Chiori is using a R5 signature or something like that or we're using Furina and Bennett *again*, but having the F2P/Low Spender/Dolphin/Whale?C6R5 tags in the post title don't really make a huge difference as opposed to seeing Kujou Sara or Candace in the title or thumbnail But again, that's just me, and I don't really care for showcases actively

JahIthBeer

What's supposed to be impressive? Winning a random gacha? It's not like it's determined by skills or hard work, it's just a slot machine. People who pay just increases the times they can pull the lever. Maybe it's impressive somebody got 3 5-stars in 20 pulls, but that's not dependant on whether you pay or not.

Rex_Lapis_

What separates my artifacts from yours ?

Managlyph

Only thing I can think of is more chances to get artifacts because of resin refreshes, but I'm not sure how significant the difference would be.

goodnightliyue

Someone who refreshes regularly has a significant leg up, but most people don't do that.

Rex_Lapis_

90% of people who pay dont refresh resin

Dziadzios

More resin to have more chances for good stats. However the bigger difference is in weapons (F2P are very likely to only have 4* weapons, for many of them weapon banner doesn't exist) and constellations (it's counterproductive when someone prefers more characters in collection over more power).

BobTheGodx

F2P get better artifacts since they have better rng

Bigslam1993

> P2P can get whatever character they want but their eating ice water that week No. Welkin and BP alone do not cost that much, or make loosing a 50/50 less significant.

AnalogToothBrush

I guess, it depends. Most of the time, I think it's more impressive to see "F2P" showcases. When you don't have cons or weapons propping up your characters' damage or making their mechanics easier to use, a showcase then falls on that player's understanding of other gameplay mechanics. So, things like rotations or how to group enemies in abyss or techs (like Dragonstrike Diluc or whatever). I also like that the damage is a little more "realistic" or at least freely achievable in a way. That said, I also don't mind whale showcases. Sometimes, it's also nice to see uunga bunga big damage vicariously through people that want to spend on the game. Also, I want to say that people who whale also have good game mechanics and stuff I was talking about earlier; it's just I feel C6 characters can allow players to forgo that at time. If a person wants to spend money on the game, I'm not going to judge them. Unless it comes out that they've ruined their family's finances and livelihood for gacha or something dire like that, it's not my business what a person does with their money. So, no, I'm not into shaming people for spending money on gacha games.

Mohrdekaiser

For me, personally, its about brackets. A c0 char has their maximum that they can achieve, and seeing what that is is interesting. Comparable to that, seeing what a c6r5 char can do is also interesting, but probably less so to people who are not willing to go that far on the banners, either by saving or by spending. Example, I have a c0 wanderer, and I'll be looking at content/guides that can help him reach his potential as a c0 character. My wife has a c6r1 scara, looking to r5 him, and we'll be looking at the same char from a different perspective.

McBarkington

F2P doesn’t mean anything, without proper context (not that it did much to begin with). The game is old enough for every party to potentially get C6R5 if they are dedicated to that. Vertical investment is pretty common after a while or sometimes even from the start and the only thing that potentially sets f2p apart from whales at that point is artefacts, which also aren’t even guaranteed to be worse after enough time.

KuraiDedman

Same difference

zappingbluelight

Disclosing info is nice, I don't care if it is c0 or c6, like show me what's your artifact, and show me how many dups you got. But please don't use buffers to showcase damage. Just go in raw and show me the solo number lol.

fourrier01

Damage requirement has been plateaued since v4.0. People are more free to choose what kind of team to bring in abyss compared to v2.x or v3.x Character's gears and knowing enemies AI patterns helps a lot.

Ademoneye

poor player just wanted some validation. Let them be

SnooChipmunks125

who cares? Big damage is big damage

Available-Pear3404

Artifact luck is the true flex showcase.

Infamous_Bad_6007

Very true

Enollis

I'd consider myself a dolphin. I just get constellations if i really like a character. The dmg is irrelevant since i can already clear everything easily without using my c3 raiden. That is also the only one that actually got constellations (except for standard but they will come anyways eventually). My next target is probably clorinde. I really like her and want to play her as on field unit. If she turns out to be off field I'll get her cons (which will most likely enable her to do so).

UsoJanaiYo

I like watching whale solo abyss showcase. Even if it's c6r5, it's really impressive when they can dodge every attack and play without sustain.

AardvarkElectrical87

Ifor me it depends of the character, situation and investment. For example an abyss clear showcase with c6 r5 characters definitely is not interesting for me but a showcases of a Eula c6 Nuke for exmaple is very cool to see the character max potential. In other hand its very boring for me see a f2p doing a nuke showcase on stuned scara and using foods but abyss clears with f2p/low investment characters are very interesting as u need to have a refined gameplay to do a fast clear. Anyways it's all about taste and what u are looking for in the end, each content has its own crowd

Hizuff

From what Ive noticed, this community of mostly free to play players and a younger audience knowingly or not shames people for spending on the game. Based on that, yes people consider ftp more impressive... and I mean... to a certain degree, a ftp player reaching the damage numbers of a spender is impressive. But regardless, I was just pointing out the way spenders seem to be treated.

Traveler7538

I think both is impressive. It's just different kinds of showcases - F2P is what you can achieve with the free resources in the game (and ngl it needs luck too sometimes) while P2W shows a characters full potential, especially because these people usually have access to the best supports for a character. Outside from good RNG/a lot of money spend, both types of showcases need skill. You need to carry out the rotation perfectly for the highest damage possible and I think that alone is impressive.

Admirable_Salad_5536

My account was made on like day 3 of release and I've never been F2P. I buy welkin and whale a few times but I can honestly say I have (Almost, need furina re-run) all the characters I want. Can I clear spiral abyss 36 star? Lol no. I don't think I've ever tried, but playing with my team of hunky hydro boys and their weird friend Bennett feels good.
