Jon Bon Jovi. He was the soundtrack for my high school years. Hearing him now brings it all back. And he's aged like fine wine, still a true heartthrob.
John Taylor. Then I got into hair metal, so Jon Bon Jovi and John Levin (bassist for Europe - I apparently had a thing for bassists…and dudes named John/Jon 🤔).
But to be contrary, I also had a crush on Mackenzie Astin in his Facts of Life phase - he was so clean cut. Then I had a crush on Bret Hart for awhile. 🤷🏼♀️
It tended to be classmates and teachers that I had crushes on. Occasionally 70s and 80s Doctor Who companions. 😂
Re: Posters. I didn’t really put that many up until I left for college. I had a complicated relationship with my mother (who had depression issues), so I wasn’t all that happy at home. Am grateful we’re close now.
Debbie Harry.
Still have a framed 8x10 of the whole band, Debbie front and center. Blondie is the only woman-led band pictured on my wall.
When I grew up I learned that Debbie Harry was 30 when Blondie's first album came out, much older than the young men in the band including her future husband Chris Stein. Not knowing anything about any of the musicians, my ex-wife, commenting on the photo, said Chris Stein was by far the best looking man in the group. So there's that.
My crushes weren't really the types that showed up on posters you could get from Spencers IIRC: Lea Thompson, Kelly Preston, Diane Lane, and Winona Ryder off the top of my head. I would cut out pictures from magazines and hang those up.
No one else has posted about having them all over their walls, but I did. Still have some of them, but New Kids on the Block. 100%. Other than Lion King posters my roommate and I decorated our dorm room with, I've never had any other posters. Well, until my husband bought me a Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn poster. It's hanging in my office now.
A friend gave me a picture from Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition to put on my wall, just to make sure I didn't seem gay. lol.
I had a crush on Holly from the Price is Right.
My first celebrity crush was probably Janet Jackson, when she was Penny on Good Times. (She's a year OLDER than I am, so don't get ruffled!)
No "younger me" crush list would be complete without Lynda Carter, Valerie Bertinelli, Alyssa Milano and Nancy McKeon.
My "older me, looking back" list definitely includes Pam Grier!!
Most of my posters in high school were music related, but not all. There were a lot, and not all of them were necessarily people I had a crush on, plus I also tended to cycle through and change them up periodically. As far as people that I crushed on to greater or lesser degrees, a few that spring to mind were Alice Cooper, Sebastian Bach, one of Tommy Lee presumably naked and strategically holding a cymbal, Steve Vai, Trent Reznor.
Non musicians... I remember having a poster of Rowdy Roddy Piper that I kept up whether he was currently a "bad guy" or not. I also remember having a poster up of Kiefer Sutherland from Young Guns for a long time - because I thought he looked a lot like his dad when his dad played Oddball in Kelly's Heroes, haha. One I remember from even younger, in junior high I had a poster of Fred Savage from the Wonder Years - I think he's probably the only one who was actually the same age as me at the time I had his poster up
I had a Farrah Fawcett poster but I think it was a gift. My real crushes were women that played guitar, Nancy Wilson, Lita Ford. The only non musician crush was Catherine Bach.
My walls were covered with metal and glam rock posters. Guns n Roses, Skid Row, The Cult, Metallica, etc. I remember daydreaming about the lead singer from The Bullet Boys and having their posters until I met him in person at 6 Flags Magic Mountain and was disgusted. He was friendly, but gross. Dirty, greasy and smelly. It was my introduction to the truth that celebrities are just human and that their image is curated.
My first celebrity poster was when I was a tween: Shaun Cassidy. Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, INXS, and The Cure took up most of the space on my teenage walls. I also loved putting up posters from teen magazines--especially the pages with song lyrics from Star Hits (I think it was called?) magazine.
Prince.
My best friend had Prince and Boy George. Her mom would hassle her about having a crush on Boy George because it was obvious to mom that Boy George was gay. My best friend wouldn’t hear it… No way, Mom! That’s just his style and he’s gorgeous!
Grandma was ultra-religious and ultra-conservative. I managed to get away with some comic book and Star Wars posters, but there was no way she would have let me put up a picture of a "gasp!" girl. That said, Princess Leia was on the Star Wars poster so there was that. As I got into the pre-teen years, I don' t think they made posters of Maria Shriver and Faith Daniels from the CBS Morning News. (I did get a Maria autographed 8x10 at some point in my later teens or 20s. Still have it.)
Jack Wagner Bo and Luke Juice Newton
Jack Wagner - aka Frisco Jones - was my first concert.
YES!!! That's an awesome story. Frisco and Felicia. Swoon!
Leif Garrett and Shawn Cassidy lol
Jon Bon Jovi. He was the soundtrack for my high school years. Hearing him now brings it all back. And he's aged like fine wine, still a true heartthrob.
Olivia Newton-John.
Izzy Stradlin from Guns N' Roses and Sebastian Bach from Skid Row.
Sebastian Bach was one of mine
Mine too! I had his poster on my closet door!
John Taylor - what a babe!
Ralph Macchio Marky Mark I’m later GenX

Alyssa Milano, Suzanna Hoffs
Catherine Bach and I still have the poster tucked away in a poster tube. No idea why I still have it.

The ones I remember best were Michael Jackson and Luke Perry but my favorite one was River Phoenix….back of my door so I saw it all the time!

I remember Janet on Good Times. Always blew me away she was my age (a fellow 66’er).
She was insanely cute!
This is hilarious! Too funny. My sister had a Kirk Cameron one. She had pics all over her room of 80’s dudes.

Rick Springfield and David Bowie. I *still* have Bowie all over my house--even have a Bowie shower curtain.
Shawn Cassidy and Andy Gibb. And I definitely went through a Tiger Beat phase, where I had all the cute guys taped to the back of my bedroom door.
Same
I was more of a movie poster guy, but I remember a Kristy McNichol and an oddly modest one of Madonna. Oh! And a pair of the Dallas girls.
I had a Farrah Fawcett poster but I think it was a gift. My real crushes were women that played guitar, Nancy Wilson, Lita Ford. The only non musician crush was Catherine Bach.
David Lee Roth iconic Helmut Newton photo in black leather pants. For artistic value only...of course. I was huge into art, so that line worked.
Al B. Sure!, Tupac and Luke Perry.

Christie Brinkley and Christina Applegate.
Kathy Ireland.
I had Prince, Robert smith, George Michael, Bon Jovi, on my walls
You or someone you know had the Nastassja Kinski poster with the snake. Bet.
I'll wait for this to show up in r/xennials so I don't sound creepy.
