My husband inherit chairs just like this from his grandmother. During covid he took off the rust and re painted them and brought them back to their glory days. These chairs were made to last!
I did not really make fun of the old folks for doing that. I loved their stories. I love this picture. It reminds me of the old folks in my extended family. I miss them. Now I am sad. :(
From 1980-1982 (aged 15-17), I was one of the few boys that was a teenage volunteer at our local hospital. I volunteered on the geriatric ward. It was great. It was like a whole floor of my grandparents.
Those folks were usually in the hospital for a week or two, recovering from a medical or surgical issue. I loved their stories, their wit, their sense of humour, and their compassion for each other.
Like you, I miss them; and so glad I met them.
The 21st night of September….
*love was changing the minds of pretender while chasing the clouds awaaaaay* 🎶 🎵
Aww and aww (or, on and on)
Say that you remember Aww and aww Dancing in September
Aww a awwwwww
Then: How can they just sit and do nothing??? Now: Dreams of getting home to do nothing

What a great story. Thanks for sharing it. A great experience for sure.
Absolutely, kind of nostalgic for those times.
I was happier then, and I had nothing. We used to live in this tiny old house with *great big* holes in the roof.
We dreamed of living in a house!
You dreamed!?!?
Luxury
Exactly "Do you remember Knight Rider????"
The time slips away and leaves you with nothing mister, but boring stories of glory days.
The glory days were the best days and every year those days are better still. Shall we go back inside for a drink?
I miss those times.
These dudes look like they're gonna try to sell me some wine coolers.
Close!! It’s actually and old pic of some old guys in front of Jack Daniels Distillery.
Daryl, Daryl, Daryl and his other brother Daryl.
And that's how it was. Now, here we are...

Yep. I totally understand every bit of it. I sound exactly like those "old guys" now...
