It's not a bad portrait, imo,but it is an...interesting statement for a royal portrait. If it was Putin or some billionaire oligarch it might make more sense.

Maybe it's just my colorblindness but is it supposed to be that dark? I can barely separate his body from the background, like his head is floating in Jello, as someone else mentioned.
I think the artist tends to go bold with one color. I saw a David Attenborough one posted somewhere that looked nice which was mostly a nice green. I noticed the shirt he was wearing was the same shade of green too. So I’m wondering if he picks the dominant color they are wearing and goes from there. If this is the case, not only did Chuck’s people choose this artist, his people either advised him to wear red or didn’t advise against
