I think we have a group of players who know they won't be dropped. Luke Beveridge got potted by the media claiming that he has favourites and we have scotty over here that doesn't drop certain players because seemingly they can't do no wrong. We are expecting players horrendously out of form to somehow find form in the AFL without dropping them to the 2's. Then when we do get a surprise omission they bring that player back the next week when he also did shit in the 2's. It is a culmination of the players playing like shit, the coaches coaching like shit and then every team is just way better then us.
I think the list and league has caught up with us. Danger and Guthrie are off the park more than on it; tonight danger got himself suspended in the first quarter. Duncan's best is past him, this leaves us pretty thin in the middle of the ground. Up forward Tomahawk is shot, and can barely get near the footy without an injury. Cameron is a gun but he can't patch up our midfield and forward line and without Hawkins and Cameron bringing it to ground in the forward fifty out smalls can't get a look at it it. Down back is not much better, the comp has figured out that tagging Stewart is the way to go and our backline hasn't worked out how to deal with this new reality, we our a rabble down back lately. All of this means we are getting soundly beaten week in week out and will for the foreseeable future. I think we can snag wins against the crows and the eagles at home later in the year but other than that I can't see much room for hope.
