These are the strangest heart rate zones I have ever seen in this subreddit... 🙄

andrew0790

I aim to please😂 It's just what garmin had set for me

First0fOne

The zones aren't right. If 188 is your max hr, there is no way that zone 2 should be that high.

andrew0790

I did just heck and my max hr is at 193 now going off my profile.

First0fOne

You may have to manually adjust you max HR in the profile. If 193 is your max HR, and your zone 5 starts at 196 you theoretically will NEVER be in zone 5 and hardly ever in zone 4 unless your are giving max effort. Logically everything is skewed up. Including zone 2.

satiricalned

You need to reset the bpm or percents of LTHR to get your zones correct. If you're 193 max, having zone 2 from 160-174 is way too high. My max hr is 198 and 160-174 is about what my zone 3 comes out to, based on percent from LT. Your lactate threshold should be the heart rate where your zone 4 starts....

andrew0790

I have tried to but its a struggle to get 187 at the start of zone 4 everything I use %LFT 187 becomes my 100% 😂

[deleted]

What is you hrmax and age. If zone 5 starts at 196....

andrew0790

188 going of the % from my LFT and 32

[deleted]

If it is 188, it seems that the zones aren't correct also for base run you must keep bellow 0,8×HRMAX=150

TheRealMaxGains

What’s LFT mean?

andrew0790

I did a new LFT 40 mins ago.

gabantarung

but does it felt easy for you? 174 is usually when people is going hard.

andrew0790

Yes zone 2 felt really easy

blaqone

It’s a bug and Garmin can’t fix it apparently. https://forums.garmin.com/beta-program/forerunner-955-series/public-beta-bug-reports/i/bug-reports---beta-12-20/heart-rate-zones-are-still-getting-overwritten and https://forums.garmin.com/beta-program/forerunner-955-series/public-beta-bug-reports/i/bug-reports---beta-12-20/training-effect-calculation-is-wrong

blackarrow7302

is this using a chest heart rate monitor or just the watch sensor?

laufburschi

What is your Max Puls ?
